We watch as Lindsay's mother stares at the fallen meteor in shock before looking up to the sky and screaming 'WHY?!' while trying to pull [[spoiler: her husband]] out from under the meteor.
* ThinkingOutLoud: The Beast does this because he clearly just doesn't care what others think, and openly speaks horrifically about them to their faces. [[NoSale Lindsey is unimpressed]].

* HollywoodAtheist: Lindsay states at the beginning of the movie that the reason her and Ben weren't taken in the Rapture was because they didn't believe. Averted, however as they are the two most decent characters in the film. Ben even wonders if they should have just gone to church, although Lindsay points out that even if they went didn't mean that they believed.
