* NeverMyFault: One of the things Nathan Rhodes calls Annie out on in his angry "tail-lights" rant is her tendency to fall back on blaming others for what happens to her, which allows her to wallow in depression and victimisation victimization instead of taking any action that might actually help get her life sorted out. He phrases it in terms of a car accident that resulted because her tail-lights weren't working, but it's pretty clear what the subtext is.

BitterWeddingSpeech: A couple:
** A variation at the engagement party, where Annie and Helen compete in an attempt to upstage each other and therefore makes it a seriously bitter, uncomfortable experience.
** Annie also goes on a huge rant at learning that Helen plans on taking Lillian to Paris.
** Lillian's dad gives a bitter speech (that everyone treats as funny) where he repeatedly declares that he can't afford to pay for the wedding.
* BlatantLies: Several times, especially:
%%
especially at the bridal shop where they get food poisoning and Annie attempts to divert the shop assistant and Helen:
** "Nothing's happening."
%% ** "I think everybody has the flu."
* BrickJoke: Half-averted.Played with. During Annie's meltdown at the bridal shower, she sarcastically asks if Lilian and Helen are going to ride around Paris on bikes with baguettes in the front baskets. A deleted scene found on the DVD and Blu-ray release shows a mortified Annie watching an online video them doing just that.
%% * BrokenBird: Annie.Annie due to her divorce, losing her bakery during the recession, and having to move back home with her mom.

Added DiffLines:

* PlaneAwfulFlight: For Annie. The flight itself goes pretty smoothly. It gets off to a bad start because Annie can't afford first class and ends up the only person in coach from her party. Annie takes a pill from Helen with booze, which leads to her essentially hallucinating throughout the flight thanks to an extremely paranoid seat mate. It then gets especially bad for everyone else when Annie starts screaming about there being a woman on the wing and the flight gets grounded as a result.

* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: Once Helen and Annie are left by themselves at the dress shop, Helen, seeing Annie sweating and visibly trying to keep from throwing up, slowly makes her eat a candy-coated almond while taunting her about the entire scenario.

Though Annie chooses to eat the almond anyway just to try and keep up the flimsy lie that she doesn't have food poisoning and feels fine instead of just admitting the meat made them sick.

Added DiffLines:

** Annie constantly forgets to get her taillights fixed, which eventually culminates in her car getting badly reared. Rhodes is pretty quick to point this out.
