* TheStarscream: [[spoiler: Kazama]] makes it very clear to Tsukiyomi that he will kill him either the first chance he gets, or when Tsukiyomi teaches him all he needs to know. Overlaps with him being a BastardUnderstudy. [[spoiler: Izanami]] successfully Starscreamed her [[spoiler:misogynistic Madara]] when he tried to pull a YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness on her. This also helped seal her [[MagnificentBastard Magnificent Bitch]] status.
** It seems to be a common multiversal occurrence for [[spoiler: Fugaku and Mikoto]] to be Minato's and Kushina [[TheStarscream Starscream.]] And he has a frighteningly good track record. Although [[spoiler: Itachi]] usually gives him what he deserves. Though in one universe he got what was coming to him in the form of [[spoiler: his own wife killing him. One version of Mikoto got such a horrible fate that a self-professed misanthrope was disturbed.]] The [[spoiler: Godaime!Itachi]] world subverted this, though.

* HeroKiller: The three Madara, BIG TIME. Especially Amaterasu, who has the story's highest body count for the moment. [[spoiler:Hell, as {{Badass}} as Zabuza and Jiraiya were in taking him down, he'd also partially weakened himself via his HonourBeforeReason - meaning that had he fought dirty he might have killed them ''both'' and still survived.]]

* DysfunctionJunction: The Arashi clan. Full stop. They're like a DarkerAndEdgier version of the [[{{One Piece}} Straw Hat Pirates]]. Every one of them has some sort of psychological trauma, suffers from some sort of psychological problem or has a DarkAndTroubledPast. See TheWoobie for details.

---> EvilGenius - [[spoiler:[[TragicVillain Five.]]]] He is easily [[spoiler:Alpha's]] most competent, loyal, and powerful servant almost killing both Chibaku and Kuebiko. He shares EvilGenius status with the BigBad despite being AxCrazy because he is DangerouslyGenreSavvy, the OnlySaneMan and seems to be the only person in the ANBU to capable of higher brain functions.

--> TheEvilGenius - [[HeroKiller Kakuzu]] - The only member that is actually [[OnlySaneMan sane]]. On top of that he is a DangerouslyGenreSavvy NoNonsenseNemesis CombatPragmatist HeroKiller.

** [[DangerouslyGenreSavvy Kakuzu]] never considers killing to be too good for his enemies.

* BreakThemByTalking: All over the place but the biggest one was in the ''very first chapter'' with Orochimaru [[HannibalHasAPoint pointing out that Kazama has learned nothing while training under Jiraiya.]] It started the whole plot!

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: [[spoiler:[[TragicVillain Five]]]] is ridiculously GenreSavvy. He knows how an Orwellian dystopia works perfectly. Amaterasu is secretly this, but due to his [[HonorBeforeReason code of honor]] he acts [[ContractualGenreBlindness Contractually Genre Blind]]. Kakuzu is also DangerouslyGenreSavvy. He knows every shonen fighting trope like he knows every ryo he's collected. The Sanbi was also this. It went out of its way to learn jutsu and uses strategey unlike its brethren who's most sophisticated tactic is to make a Bijuu Dama.

* CompetitiveBalance: Early chapters have categorized Ninjutsu into five different styles.
** [[color:red:Vermillion Bird]] --> GlassCannon
** [[color:blue:Azure Dragon]] --> JackOfAllStats
** [[color:lightgrey:White Tiger]] --> FragileSpeedster
** [[color:black:Black Tortoise]] --> StoneWall

** During the fight against the [[spoiler:resurrected Third Raikage]], the Dark Wolf begins chanting about [[Warhammer40K "Blood for the Blood God"]],and [[Warhammer40K "Skulls for the Skull Throne."]]

* TheGift: Deconstructed with Minato. Him being better at everything than everyone else makes him StupidGood and him having to deal with actual failure sends him into a spiral of self destructive tendency due to his pride and not being very good at dealing with failure.
* GenerationXerox: Inverted with Sasuke and Naruto and their mothers, Mikoto and Kushina. Naruto obsesses over Sasuke while Sasuke doesn't care. Mikoto on the other hand is hinted to have wanted much more than friendship from Kushina in at least one world, while Kushina sees her as just a friend.

** The whole Ninja Messiah plan and the Moon's Eye plan has been reduced to this because of free will.

** The Kyuubi attack - whether Madara found immortality/longevity or not, ''someone'' orchestrates it unless things were ''very'' different in the backstory (such as in the Distopia-verse). One of few varients is where Sakura, not Naruto, is the jinchuuriki instead.

* JadeColoredGlasses: Everyone in this fic except [[PuritySue Naruko]] wear Jade Colored Glasses of various shades. It's actually healthy in this fic to be cynical to a certain degree, but Kazama has recently become the most cynical, beating Sasori in the cynicism department. He wears JadeColoredGlasses the size of Kamina's shades.

* ShootTheDog: All of the Naruto's except Naruko have had to make or made morally qustionable decisions. Kazama killed Sai in the first chapter in self-defense. Chibaku's use of this trope is the most blantant [[spoiler:when he killed N.]] And finally there are Kitsune's many, many killing sprees.

* TookALevelInBadass: Pretty much everyone from canon, but Kakashi/Kamui takes the cake. Once he decides to get over his {{Wangst}}, and DeathSeeker habits he figures out how too use the Susanoo jutsu (with ONLY ONE SHARINGAN), and [[spoiler:kills the Raikage.]] Damn, a pretty big improvement from the unmotivated loser from {{Canon}}.

* TraumaCongaLine: The author uses this trope to great effect. He's like Shakespeare with this trope. He always finds a way to ruin his main characters lives, often putting them in positions where they have to make [[ShootTheDog rather questionable decisions]] or make their backstories even more tragic - except Naruko, she's had it ridiculously easy compared to everyone else. But this is a case of TropesAreNotBad. A lot of great CharacterDevelopment comes out of their trauma. The Most Triumphant Example is the Alive!Yondaime World Minato. With an excellent TraumaCongaLine he turned a boring CanonSue into an interesting and sympathetic BrokenAce.
* {{Ubermensch}}: Tsukiyomi is an evil one. He even calls his idealology the Will to Power. Kazama is becoming one by rejecting all of Konoha's beliefs and starting his own clan. [[spoiler: But has recently devolved into a NietzscheWannabe.]] Kazama has recently recovered but his idealogy has become noticably DarkerAndEdgier revolving around a mixture of MightMakesRight, RightMakesMight, HumansAreFlawed, and an {{Inversion}} of TheNeedsOfTheMany. Naruko ''thinks'' she's one, but since she has the personality of the canon Naruto and this story is a {{Deconstruction}} she sort of comes off as an idiot.

** Yagura has a extemely twisted Type I with the Sanbi - it's probably the only thing he cares about, they come up with new torture techniques together, and they worked together to create their genocide program. Yagura even calls it "Dear Isobu".
** Tsukiyomi and [[spoiler: Kazama]] are begining to form a mixture of a Type I and a Type II. Tsukiyomi honestly seems to like [[spoiler: Kazama]] and treats him like the son he always wanted, and goes out of his way to help [[spoiler: Kazama]] with his goals and gives him solid advice... while [[spoiler: Kazama]] makes it clear that he's a BastardUnderstudy and will [[TheStarscream Starscream]] Tsukiyomi the first chance he gets. But at the same time, [[spoiler: Kazama]] admits that he's never had a better father figure.

* CoolSword: The Kusanagi, Orochimaru's [[spoiler:and later Kazama's]] sword has a far deeper and more powerful backstory than its {{canon}} counterpart. First of all, it was used to kill the ''real'' Yamato-no-Orochi, second, it is the REAL Susanoo's sword.

* YouKillItYouBoughtIt: The only way to gain the [[CoolSword Kusanagi's]] full power and loyalty is by killing its previous owner.

* TheNeedsOfTheMany: Minato believes in the FateStayNight maxim of "sacrifice the one to save the many". He basically admits to Kazama that he will willingly sacrifice his family to create peace. In a complete contrast to his father, Kazama believes in a {{Inverted}} version of this trope - that only a handful of people deserve salvation. If any of [[Manga/{{Naruto}} the original series' philosophy]] remains intact, this is ''[[OhCrap not]]'' a good thing.

* ShoutOut: Amaterasu is one giant call-back to [[FateStayNight a certain King of Heroes]].

** The Minato from the Alternate Amegakure arc wants to be a [[FateStayNight Hero of Justice]]. A FateStayNight Hero of Justice. [[{{Understatement}} He doesn't know what he's getting into]]. Wonder if we'll meet a Counter Guardian NAMIKAZE soon?

** TheKirk: Amaterasu, despite being a BloodKnight tends to act as the mediator between Tsukiyomi and Susanoo. [[spoiler: With his death, there are now hints that Tsukiyomi and Susanoo are plotting to [[TheStarscream Starscream]] each other. Unless Izanami takes his place...?]]

* OlderHeroVsYoungerVillain: [[spoiler: This is [[BigGood Orochimaru]] and [[PsychopathicManchild Alpha's]] basic relationship, although Alpha takes it much more personally than Orochimaru, who just wants to defeat her to save the world.]]

* PassingTheTorch: The Will of Fire has suffered a brutal deconstruction in this story. It is pointed out that the Will of Fire passes ''everything'' down to the next generation, including things like hatred, bigotry, revenge, and racism, which in turn creates people like [[RightWingedMilitaryFanatic Danzo]], [[DarkMessiah Kazama]], [[WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds Kitsune]], and [[OmnicidalManiac Kitsune's Kyuubi]]. Realistically, the Will of Fire actually ''propagates'' the CycleOfHatred, not stops it. Pretty much every Naruto's suffering is ''caused'' by the Will of Fire due to the hatred that is passed down from adults to children. And let's not get started about what it did to the [[CrapsackWorld Dystopia-verse...]]

** This is not unnoticed by the author, and it is being lampshaded, justified and deconstructed along the way.

** The author relates Yagura's poor fighting skills to the canon Naruto. Yagura prioritizes ninjutsu boosted by his own Tailed Beast and relies on it.

* TooDumbToLive: There seems to be something in the water in Ame, the citizens...aren't that smart, Yahiko tried to appeal to an insane war-mongering cannibal with peace, and [[spoiler: the Madara that lived there]] thought treating the woman in charge with keeping him alive like shit was a good idea

* ParentalNeglect: Kazama's Minato and Kushina could be seen as doing this to their son. In Kazama's world Kushina could of [[TakingYouWithMe taken the Kyuubi down with her]] and they had the option to ''not'' seal it into their son. But instead they both sealed the Kyuubi inside of Kazama turning him into their weapon based on the [[InsaneTrollLogic rather shoddy logic that destiny would take care of their son and turn him into the Ninja Messiah]]... Dick move, you two. Totally dick move.

* GambitRoulette: Deconstructed. The two big canon gambits the Moon's Eye Plan and Child of Prophecy tend to undergo extreme {{Epic Fails}}s thanks to the free will the multiverse grants to differing characters leading to scenarios where they never pick up steam (Naruko's World and the Dystopia-verse), completely fall apart ( Kitsune's world where the Uchiha ruin everything) or allow someone worse to take control...[[spoiler: like the universe where [[MagnificentBastard Red Zetsu]] killed Madara, made Kaguya his bitch, and rules the world.]]

** Female doubles: [[spoiler:Naruko, Haku, Gaara, Shukaku, Alpha, the Dark Wolf]].
** Epithets: Most perspectives are introduced with these, such as 'The Healing Man', or 'Pure Evil', or 'The Sand Witch'. The Two-Tails nicknames Yugito 'Kitten', similar to how fan fiction authors often have the Nine-Tails call Naruto "kit". No canon Jinchuriki is ever given an AffectionateNickname.

** Naruto, the {{Adorkable}} [[TheHero Hero]], being given a humbler, yet more intellectually mature characterization, accompanied by a promotion in rank. [[spoiler:He becomes TheLeader of the Arashi clan unofficially, and later steals Hanzo's position as the ruler of Amegakure. He even sits down to have tea with the Hokage]].
** Characters like Minato, Orochimaru, Sarutobi, Kushina and similar leaders with any connection to Naruto's bad childhood receive a healthy amount of strife and deconstruction.

* BecomingTheMask: Shukaku, oddly enough. [[spoiler:It, though in this story ''she'', convinces itself that it is Gaara's mother. Naruko has a fan-created ability to deceive/control others by predicting their emotional responses. Tsukuyomi takes considerable interest in Kazama]] instead of converting him.

* EveryoneHasStandards: This is how Edo Tensei is treated in ''Echoes''. To even consider using Edo Tensei in this story you either have to be a special kind of stupid aka the guy who invented it. A special kind of evil, like Orochimaru, Kabuto, or Susanoo. Or a special kind of broken, like Izanami. Using Edo Tensei seems to be the equivalent to violating the Geneva Convention in the Echoes-multiverse. [[spoiler: To prove the point, when Susanoo revived five Kages who ''hated'' each other with it, they all agreed they wanted to kill him for sinking so low.]]

** [[spoiler: In recent chapters, Tsukiyomi has suceeded in making Kazama his apprentice.]]

* GambitRoulette: Deconstructed with Minato and Kushina's plan to turn their child into the Ninja Messiah. It undergoes an extreme EpicFail with every Naruto we encounter due to them each forming different idealogies and the randomness of life ensures that the exact events that could turn Naruto into the Ninja Messiah that they want him to be are realistically too impossible to occur. The four main Naruto's are four excellent examples of Minato and Kushina's failed GambitRoulette.
** Kazama: He is the only one with the proper mentality and skill to pull the whole Ninja Messiah thing off but he absolutely refuses to be one because doing so would make him a {{Hypocrite}} and someone's pawn. Two things he hates with a passion. He also hates his parents because they basically turned him into a TykeBomb based on "destiny" and his mother basically admitted that they wanted to turn him into the Ninja Messiah without his consent and planned out his entire life for him. He really hates Kushina for that.
** Naruko: At first she seems to have all of the qualifications but if you look a bit deeper she is also another failure. She lacks the charisma without [[spoiler: Kurama's MindRape skill]] and really has no further ambition than making friends and forming a family, plus she ''hates'' destiny with a passion.
** Kitsune: He is far to broken to ever accomplish ''anything'' his parents might have planned for him.
** Chibaku: He has pretty much figured everything out... and doesn't care.

* HeroOfAnotherStory: A major theme of the Seperation arc was to show that the multiverse doesn't revolve around Naruto with the role of being TheHero, TheProtagonist, and basically being the main character of their world was Itachi, Minato, and [[spoiler: Orochimaru]] with the Naruto of two of those worlds being DemotedToExtra and side characters and in one world he was the BigBad instead.

** The whole Ninja Messiah plan has been reduced to this because of free will.

* TimeMaster: Kazama's seal has recently shown the power to travel through time as well as space. Best shown with [[spoiler: Orochimaru being sent back in time and creating the Cloud-verse.]] And more recently Kazama, Tsukiyomi, and Susanoo have been [[spoiler: sent back in time sometime around the Third Shinobi World War but before the Rise of Pain.]] Though given the nature of the multiverse, [[spoiler: it's hard to pin down the exact time period.]]

* TooDumbToLive: Really, [[spoiler:Yahiko?]] You though you could reason with [[TheCaligula Yagura]]!? There is a difference between being an idealist and being illogical.
** Ame as a whole seems to suffer from this trope. The nobility can't run the country, and the citizens are dying in droves unless someone kicks them in the balls and tells them to do crap and are completely incapable of running their lives unless someone is holding their hand. [[spoiler: They're so brain dead they make totalitarianism LOOK LIKE THE ANSWER!]]

* AffablyEvil: Tsukuyomi has a gentlemanly attitude, while Amaterasu is guided by his own sense of honor, allowing his opponents a fair shot at defeating him, and even congratulating those that face him with honor.

** Kageoseo likes Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire given that everyone seems to live in Ninja-Westeros.

* BadBoss: Orochimaru ([[spoiler:usually]]), the OC [[YouHaveFailedMe Kenta Ayatsuri]], [[BitchInSheepsClothing Alpha]], and an exaggerated version of [[TheCaligula Yagura]], who tortures, flays, or eats people.

* BecomingTheMask: Shukaku, oddly enough. [[spoiler:It, though in this story ''she'', convinces itself that it is Gaara's mother. Naruko has a fan-created ability to deceive others by predicting their emotional responses. Tsukuyomi takes considerable interest in Kazama]] instead of converting him.

* BlackComedy: Hidan and Kakuzu, predictably, as the former criticizes the latter for worshiping currency as a deity. Kakuzu even defends this (jokingly) by referencing money as the ultimate motivator.

*** CrapsaccharineWorld: The Alive!Yondaime World at first looks like a SugarBowl because Akatsuki, Orochimaru, and Madara were defeated early. In reality, whilst this was a great blow to evil it didn't destroy it all, instead making it disorganized but present. In addition, the political situation is rather bad because of both a certain idiotic Genin Team and no BigBad to keep certain people occupied, like [[GeneralRipper A]].

* DarkerAndEdgier
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: In this story the [[{{Gamebreaker}} Edo Tensei]] has been given a proper justification for not being spammed - Use it to much and the Shinigami will make a ''very'' early visit. Even then, using it is treated like an InUniverse MoralEventHorizon moment.

* TheDragon: Technically, Amaterasu is this - he fills the role of being the most powerful antagonistic force for the heroes, and despite still being [[AGodAmI Madara]] he's probably the most-level headed of the Trio, content to let his comrades plan and acting as mediator. [[spoiler:Until he's finally KilledOffForReal.]]
* DualWielding: {{Deconstructed}} one of the [[VillainBall many]], [[WorfHadTheFlu many]] reasons [[spoiler:Orochimaru]] was killed by Kazama was because he was DualWielding two Kusanagi despite not being ambidextrous. Kazama also falls victim to this {{DeconstructedTrope}} when he tries DualWielding his two Kusanagi in a sword fight against [[MasterSwordsman Amaterasu]].

** Note: Kuebiko doesn't count because he isn't part of the Arashi clan. He's just helping them because he's a NiceGuy. Though he is somewhat bigoted and has a very SelectiveMemory when his brothers dickier moves come up or the flaws in the Will of Fire

* TheEmpath: All of the Naruto are able to emphasize with their opponents in battle and they use it in different ways. For Kitsune, his empathy destroyed him. Naruko uses her empathy exactly like her {{canon}} self. [[spoiler: But later slipped into MindRape and quit being TheEmpath.]] Chibaku uses his empathy to be a ManipulativeBastard using his understanding of his opponents mental state to destroy them. And finally, Kazama is in the middle ground between Naruko and Chibaku. He uses his empathy to connect with the rest of his clan to help them while using it against his enemies to formulate TrashTalk and [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech "The Reason You Suck" Speeches]] to make them screw up.

* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler:Orochimaru, Susanoo, Alpha, Hidan... just to name a few.]]

*** [[spoiler:By chapter 36 it has completely fallen apart. Amaterasu is dead. Nobody knows what Tsukiyomi's up to - if he's even planning ''anything'' anymore. Susanoo has teamed up with a new Madara renamed Izanagi and has gone [[TheStarscream Starscream]]. While Izanami has fallen in love with Kazama and is stopping him from falling completely off the deep end into a FaceHeelTurn.]]

* MindRape: Alpha's shtick and, surprisingly, [[spoiler:Naruko's as well]].
* MoodWhiplash: The fic begins with multiple Narutos looking out for each other. But once other members join their group, they start focusing more on why their childhoods were so messed up, with Kazama becoming a subscriber to [[spoiler:Mikaboshi]], several well-known characters dying off, and three absurdly powerful villains chasing them like dogs.

* MultiversalConqueror: Each different Madara aims at ruling the multiverse. [[spoiler: Amatsu Mikaboshi, too.]]

* NextTierPowerUp: Puposely deconstructed in this story. If you get a cool new power, don't expect it to automatically let you win against your latest foe. Just because you have a cool new super move doesn't mean that you can use it properly. Expect to have your ass handed to you by the same technique that was beating you earlier because while that technique may be weaker, your enemy has mastered it to the point of perfection, while you don't know all the pro's and con's to your new powers.
* NiceGuy: Kuebiko.

* ObliviouslyEvil: Many of the villains can come off as this, mainly Tsukiyomi, Susanoo, and Izanagi. They truly think that they're doing the right thing(except Izanagi). Best shown when Susanoo and Izanagi were planning to defeat [[spoiler:[[AntiAntiChrist Kazama]]]]. They seemed a lot more heroic than [[spoiler:Kazama]] has been.

[[spoiler: Mikaboshi used to be one, but now its plans are mysterious.]]
* OneManArmy: The Madara trio, 3rd Raikage, 1st Hokage,[[spoiler: Sage of the Six Paths, and the bosses of Teikoku]] are all this.

* PassingTheTorch: The Will of Fire has suffered a brutal deconstruction in this story. It is pointed out that the Will of Fire passes ''everything'' down to the next generation, including things like hatred, bigotry, revenge, and racism, which in turn creates people like [[RightWingedMilitaryFanatic Danzo]], [[DarkMessiah Kazama]], [[WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds Kitsune]], and [[OmnicidalManiac Kitsune's Kyuubi]]. Realistically, the Will of Fire actually ''propagates'' the CycleOfHatred, not stop it. Pretty much every Naruto's suffering is ''caused'' by the Will of Fire due to the hatred that is passed down from adults to children. And let's not get started about what it did to the Dystopia-verse.
* PeggySue: [[spoiler: Orochimaru]] is a villainous example. During the incident that gave Kazama his powers it sent [[spoiler: Orochimaru]] back in time in an unknown universe. Like all [[PeggySue Peggy Sues]], [[spoiler:Orochimaru]] used his foreknowledge to make his life better - and by better, I mean that he destroyed Konoha.

* RescueArc: One half of the Reunion arc focuses on rescuing [[BigGood Vajra]] from [[TheEmpire Teikoku]].

* SiblingYinYang: While they aren't siblings Naruko and Chibaku fit this trope well. Naruko is an implusive, HotBlooded, GenkiGirl who is UnskilledButStrong due to her constantly using the Kyuubi's powers to smash her opponents, and seems to be working her way up from TheChick to TheBigGirl]]. Chibaku is a calm, cool, collected DeadpanSnarker and always plans things out, is the CrazyPrepared SmartGuy, and is WeakButSkilled because the Kyuubi's brute strength doesn't mix with his delicate puppetry techniques. They also argue over everything.

* TechnicolorFire: Tsukiyomi and Yugito both use blue fire. Tsukiyomi because of his mastery over all Katon jutsu. And Yugito to represent her SoulPower.

* ThemeNaming: The FiveBadBand [[spoiler:(except of course Kazama)]] have all picked names from notable Shinto deities - the Madara Trio are Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu and Susanoo; their new ally is named for Izanami (or "Nami"), the goddess of creation and death. All they lack now is someone to take the name Izanagi, the latter's twin brother.

* TokenEvilTeammate: Sasori for the Arashi clan. He has no morals whatsoever but no one cares because he is a MagnificentBastard.

* TraumaCongaLine: The author uses this trope to great effect. He's like Shakesphere with this trope. He always finds a way to ruin his main characters lives, often putting them in positions where they have to make [[ShootTheDog rather questionable decisions]] or make their backstory's even more tragic - except Naruko, she's had it ridicously easy compared to everyone else. But this is a case of TropesAreNotBad. A lot of great CharacterDevelopment comes out of their trauma. The Most Triumphant Example is the Alive!Yondaime World Minato. With an excellent TraumaCongaLine he turned a boring CanonSue into an interesting and sympathetic BrokenAce.

* WrongGenreSavvy: ''No'', Naruko - unlike {{canon}}, ThePowerOfFriendship will ''not'' save everyone and make the world a bright shining place of peace and love. You might be able to help on a limited scale, but you are ''not'' all-powerful.
* YouAreNumberSix: All of the [[spoiler: Real Naruto Clones]] have numbers for names in the ANBU-verse such [[spoiler: Alpha, Three, Five, Twenty, and Ninety.]]

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: If you kill a Kage expect their rather pissed off Village to start a war. With [[EvilOverlord Yagura]], Kiri will have no problem, they'll even consider it a ''massive'' improvement to their society.

** Five, and the world he exists in, is based on [[Literature/NineteenEightyfour]].

* SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism: Falls firmly on the cynical end, when someone's FatalFlaw is having too much faith in humanity you know you're in a CrapsackWorld.

** It seems to be a common multiversal occurance for [[spoiler: Fugaku]] to be Minato's [[TheStarscream Starscream.]] And he has a frightenly good track record. Although [[spoiler: Itachi]] usually gives him what he deserves. Though in one universe he got what was coming to him in the form of [[spoiler: his own wife killing him.]]

* SuperPoweredEvilSide: Kitsune's entire fighting style revolves around ''giving in'' to his SuperPoweredEvilSide.

* CompetitiveBalance: Recent chapters have categorized Ninjutsu into five different styles.

However, this power [[spoiler:comes from Amatsu-Mikaboshi, and more importantly, rallies together a group of Madara Uchihas (Tobis) who want to abuse that power.]]

** Note: Kuebiko doesn't count because he isn't part of the Arashi clan. He's just helping them because he's a NiceGuy. Though he is somewhat bigoted and has a very SelectiveMemory when his brothers dickier moves come up or the flaws in the Will of Fire.

This author take on the "Hero traverses the multiverse and teams up with his alternate counterparts to save the day" plot, and of the Naruto universe in general. You can't go two chapters without a WhamLine. The story is massive, and highly detailed in mythos and scenarios, as well as exploring the complexity of humanity. It is also has a DeconstructorFleet - many tropes are ripped apart relentlessly and then [[{{Reconstruction}} put back together.]]

* TheAce: Several of the characters, such as Minato, are this.
* ActionGirl: Haku, Gaara, Yugito, Mei, Naruko, and Izanami.

She later drop's it after her fight with Kitsune's Kyuubi. [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap And she's far better off without her false persona.]]
