It's teeechnically a real life moment, and not from the show itself.

* Tropers/{{Theweirdwarrior}}: I think it's great that there is an official HomestarRunner You Tube channel...but the moment they started favoriting their own videos clearly stands out (to me anyway) as a Dethroning Moment. That's a lame marketing tactic that you'd get mocked for even in the old days of YouTube (when the site was predominantly amateur bloggers), and the fact that the creators of an internet sensation are doing it just...[=ARGH!=] it's so frustrating!

* Tropers/{{Cliche}}: YugiohTheAbridgedSeries, Episode 31, more accurately known as [[AuthorTract Journey to the Centre of LittleKuriboh's Ego]]. The filler character is set up solely so he can deliver a TakeThat to YuGiOh raw purists. This might not have been so bad if it wasn't so blatantly {{Anvilicious}} due to his [[PossessionSue possession]] of the character molding him into a [[StrawmanPolitical straw fanboy]]. Another minor character possession is a completely unnecessary and distracting {{Pokemon}} reference, and no, LampshadeHanging crap does not make it any less stinky. Finally, the battle has not one, but two arbitrary, pointless, and irritating TakeThat uses, with his shot at the Caramelldansen being both DidNotDoTheResearch and ViewersAreMorons (do you have to freaking spell out of the fact you hate it like we are flipping idiots?). At least there is no question where the show JumpedTheShark if the episode quality continues to stagnate.

You cannot claim the first episode of a series is a -dethroning- moment of suck.

* SickBritKid: For this troper, it was the first ever episode of {{Avatar the Abridged Series}}. The jokes start out like a typical AbridgedSeries, with the commentary on the normalcy of that day and how nothing life-changing can happen. But then, Sokka winds up cracking one of the stupidest jokes in the history of jokes: "Now, sis, what have we said about you Waterbending while you're [=PMSing=]?" Luckily, the creator of the series realized the DudeNotFunny of that moment and apologized for it in his commentary. Ever since, the series HAS gotten better and the writing has taken a good step up in quality...

* Tropers/{{AverageJohn}}: While I didn't have a problem with ''MovieBob's The Expendables review'', it did have a few things that have annoyed me. The first thing is that he tried to make everyone who wanted to see the movie a retarded hick, basically claiming them to not have seen any modern-action movies. The second thing is him declaring humanity to be stupid because ''Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'' didn't make number one at the box office. The film looks good, but Moviebob hasn't taken into consideration that The Expendables & Eat Pray Love were adveristed & were released in more theaters. He also says that ''Scott Pilgrim'' will still matter by next summer, even though he'll probably have forgotten it by the next one. Also, he says that modern action movies are better than the 1980s ones that Expendables is trying to emulate, when Moviebob has said he still likes 80s action movies more than more recent ones a few times during his reviews.

* Tropers/{{Animeking1108}}: Now, this troper enjoys Fioriparty74's videos, but The True Death of Hinata was just terrible. Now, before you stamp this as a DieForOurShip rant, hear me out. Basically, the video spoofed chapter 437 of the Naruto manga. Fair enough. But what really sucked was that not only did it call Hinata "an overrated pair of boobs," it also went on to insult Hinata and NaruHina fans. [[TakeThat Making fun of]] a character you don't like is one thing, but to insult the people who actually do like the character is just mean. ** SnoopTroop: His review of ''BookOfEli''. Anything he addresses that is in the film itself can be derived from the trailers and insists on focusing on the fact that it contains religious elements. His line saying that God allying with the Hero of the story kills all tension is especially grating considering the Hero almost always wins anyway especially in action films and in this film there are plenty of plot twists including [[spoiler: Eli dies of a mortal wound inflicted by the villain.]] As opposed to actually having watched the film; it comes more off like he ''had'' to review this movie but didn't want to see it so he instead read up on what other people have said previously about it then negatively attacked it with smug satisfaction.

** Peter: It didn't help that the film was put on the same level as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. While the camera work in Expendables was pretty bad at times, the plot made sense and there was a good balance of action and non-action. The worst part is Movie Bob has acknowledged this type of thing in the past but was too consumed with nerd rage to notice. Not learning his lesson, Bob then attacked his critics by pointing out two supposedly better movies in his following review. Essentially Bob stated Expendables would of been better if it had shown female nudity. Classy.

Squall does whine a lot, and the reason spoony hated the gunblade was because it was utterly unrealistic, it wouldn't work in real life, and it's disingenuous to put a ridiculous weapon in a game that is cited as one of the more realistic ones. In short, the hypocrisy of some of the fans in defending a retarded concept in a game that's supposed to be realistic is annoying.

** This this troper, it was his FF8 review, as he seemed to completely miss the concept of gunblades and wrote Squall off as a generic EmoKid despite him being a multi-layered(and justified, I might add) character that DOES get better as the game progresses...

Most of his complaints were aspects that gamers would find GOOD.

And if that wasn't bad enough, he goes on to attack the game for ridiculous, contrived reasons. Toad has a use in being the fastest and strongest character, it isn't that hard to chain attacks on enemies to gain hearts, and he was obviously using cut and paste editing to claim he could take a dump in the time the Star would touch the character, not to mention positioning it in the area where it would naturally take the most time to get. He's just bashing a classic game for the sake of bashing a classic game, and he doesn't even make good arguments for them either.

* Fioriparty's "The True Death of Hinata." This video was a complete bias against Hinata and her fans. It pretty much makes Hinata's apparant death look like a good thing, proclaims that people only like Hinata for her boobs, and then states that all the useful things she's done were anime-only. And just to piss us off, she cuts and pastes her face over important moments in history like as if we see Hinata as the most important thing ever. It was more than just a "TakeThat". It was a big fuck-you to all Hinata fans. Yeah, it's ironic that she calls her an overrated pair of boobs when this is her most overrated video.
* {{Moviebob}} had a terrible one in his review of James Cameron's ''Avatar'', where he claimed that it made you a douchebag when you tried to point out one of the film's major flaws (a very standard, stock storyline). That's all MovieBob does these days, childishly insults anyone who disagrees with him.

** "Smug" is an apt word to describe Bob, and this shows in his review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It's a bad film? I'll give you that. It's worse than anything UweBoll's ever done? NO. Michael Bay does not believe what he's making is high cinema art. Michael Bay does not challenge his critics to one-sided boxing matches in defense of his career. Michael Bay does not exploit his country's tax laws in order to make an obscene profit off of terrible goddamn movies. If anywhere in Bob's film criticism career did his ego burst out of its container, it would be here. To think that his watchers would take such a gross hyperbole at face value is arrogance and smugness of the highest degree.
** The "encourage you to ignore flaws of things Bob likes" is nothing new. A while ago his viewers called him out for his DoubleStandard of Nintendo, i.e. giving them a free pass for something he would rip apart any other game, what does he do? Spends half a video whining about how he shouldn't have to call out Nintendo while spending the rest coming up with minor faults or flat out praising them.
* TheIrateGamer seems to have a different moment for each person, for this troper it's his Ghosts N Goblins review. All video reviewers have slow starts, they usually hit their strides after 4-6 episodes, this being his 5th episode you'd think things would get better. Instead it starts with grammar failure, a pointless RunningGag with a devil costume, a huge SpecialEffectFailure with Chris pretending he's a little kid (for a 6 year old Cousin Joey has big legs), the fact that he had to switch to the Arcade version early on for invincibility without saying it, he just hopes that people are stupid enough to not notice the difference. Then has the gall to criticize the Engrish ending despite the first line of the review being "When you think of one of the Most Hardest games for the NES." It only went downhill from there.
** Mine was the SonicUnleashed review, sure, I have the Wii version of the game, but seriously, it is irritating that his '''ONLY''' excuse was "This isn't what a Sonic game is about!", [[{{CriticalResearchFailure}} which is wrong]], the Sand box mode was a part of quite a few Sonic games, including some of the early ones, but that's not all, ''everything'' in that review was problematic, he doesn't even go past the first three levels, giving up after the plane segment, complaining there are no other levels like the first level, ''BORES'' '''''[[{{WallBanger}} THERE ARE MORE LEVELS THAT ARE LIKE THE FIRST LEVEL!]]''''' Stop insulting the freaking games and cut the joke stealing! IT'S NOT FUNNY!
** Then there's his ''SuperMarioBros2'' review, in which he acts like the fact that it was a DolledUpInstallment of ''Doki Doki Panic'' [[ViewersAreMorons was a huge shocking revelation and not something every gamer at least half-heartedly versed in gaming history knows already]]. (DarthWiki/{{Cliche}})
** His Kool-Aid Man review, it's... Bad. Yeah, the games are probably bad, but the review itself... BAD, it's just ''painful'' to watch.
** For a long time this show managed to be SoBadItsGood, but in the Mario Is Missing review when he has the Mario Brothers going number one in the streets! Yeah. Really, Bores? You're so desperate for a laugh you've sunk to toilet humor? With some of the most recognizable faces in gaming? And I'm supposed to like what you produce?
*** Normally he's amusing to watch because of all the research fails in his reviews but, I drew the line when he resorted to toilet humor in his Mario edutainment games review. I had to look away from my screen in disgust.
** People that found his work to be SoBadItsGood quickly declared foul from his ''Brutal Legend/Tekken 6/Turtles in Time Reshelled'' triple review. Especially the Tekken 6 portion. With Brutal Legend: He only played one hour and decided that was good enough to judge the game, calling it a must-buy. He never mentions the the soundtrack and his only flaw makes no sense. With Tekken 6: He completely bashed the game for idiotic reasons. He hated that the game had Japanese voices and wanted them in English (making him come off as xenophobic), reviewed only the campaign mode (not even touching the actual fighting portion), and then criticized all the praise it was getting believing only his opinion is right.
** During one E3 2010 video, he was interviewing a Sega representative about ''Sonic Colors''. Shortly into it he said "SonicUnleashed sucked so I hope Sonic Colors is better" in front of the Sega employee. For many users this crossed the line.
* HellfireCommentaries had this during the Brutal Legend playthrough when Ron made a joke about Haiti. The other players were not ammused.
** Yeah it was less of a DMOS for HellfireCommentaries and more one for Ron. The other players immediately called him out on it.
* ''DoctorHorriblesSingAlongBlog'': When JossWhedon proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that no matter what medium he works in, he cannot avoid inserting a cheap [[Main/TonightSomeoneDies random character]] death for shock-value and [[Main/DeathByNewberyMedal thinking that makes it edgy, original, or artistic.]] Too bad the shock value and novelty wore off about 8 years ago, Joss.
** Also, the fact that he resorted to the Tara-esque bridge dropping act, even though Horrible, despite being underneath the frigging exploding gun, was unharmed.
* HomestarRunner, [[http://www.homestarrunner.com/hremail3184.html SBemail 201]]: Right after Strong Bad explains that the best explosions come from his computers, a little montage of said explosions appears. However, Strong Bad being Strong Bad, he's gotta take it a step further. How? ''He makes the Lappy 486 explode, claiming that doing so himself was better than waiting for someone else to!'' Look, I don't ''care'' how awesome the explosion was, or how popular those "blast-wavy Saturn rings" are nowadays. You '''''DO NOT''''' kill the computer you spent ''[[http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail159.html another email entirely]] '''saving from your old computers!'''''
* YugiohTheAbridgedSeries, Episode 31, more accurately known as [[AuthorTract Journey to the Centre of LittleKuriboh's Ego]]. (DarthWiki/{{Cliche}})
* 2009 is probably {{The Angry Video Game Nerd}}'s best year yet... with the exception of that '''atrocious''' {{Bugs Bunny}}'s Crazy Castle Review. I don't care if it is {{Bugs Bunny}}; watching that {{Screwy Squirrel}} {{Karma Houdini}} get what was coming to him after 50 years of his antics was immensely satisfying. Having all of that undone with a massive {{Plot Induced Stupidity}} on the Nerd's end was horrifying. Did we really want to see you get shit on and beat to within an inch of your life by Bugs Bunny, James? No, we didn't.
** It also marked the moment when the insane cinematic antics began to take over the entire videos, with the actual game reviews (which is funnily enough, WHAT THE EFFING NERD WAS ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE) as almost a total last minute afterthought. It seems that Rolfe sensed this too and the next video was far more down to earth, with more emphasis on the reviews. I'm all for a fun cinematic review but when its purely cinematic with almost no emphasis on the "review" part, thats where I draw the line.
** The point of the episode was that, somehow, one company managed to get Nintendo to license the exact same game around six times, most of them on the Gameboy; as well as provide a follow up to the "Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout" episode. The slapstick isn't a big deal since James is a big fan of old-school cartoons (BTW, the Nerd got shit on because he had one taken a shit on Bugs, a joke he's done more than once) and the video was pretty well made. But the whole episode shouldn't have been a full Nerd episode. The Nerd-Bugs fight should have been a separate video on its own, but without the ExcusePlot of the Crazy Castle reviews.
* {{AMV Hell}} 3 has one such moment: At one point, it plays a chipmunk remix of the last half of [[NeonGenesisEvangelion ''Cruel Angel's Thesis''.]] Now, the AMV Hells are filled with crappy gags, taking a very shotgun approach, but the clips tend to average around ten seconds. This gag plays the remix for a full forty-eight seconds, making it nearly five times as long as others - it doesn't seem long, but against the others, it feels almost glacial. But that's not the problem, the Osaka "Must Be Dreaming" is over a minute, and [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming plenty of people love it to bits]], thanks to its good effects and editing, excellent song choice, and addition of a few decent jokes. The problem is that, in the remix, there is absolutely no joke. It's literally nothing but Cruel Angel's Thesis remixed. Not into something like a Youtube Poop, it's just the pitch cranked up and a beat whenever the song repeats. It's the equivalent of the [[FamilyGuy Conway Twitty moment]]; it's not funny, it goes on way too long, there seems to be very little effort, and you really must wonder who decided to add it in.
** I would've picked the "Blinded by the Light" clip. You know, the one ''with no clip of any sort whatsoever'' that's just a stretch of "Lookit my AWSUM LENZ FLARES!"
* TheAmazingAtheist is a [[{{Understatement}} douchebag]], but he reached a whole new level of douchebaggery with his mind-numblingly banal skit "The Vegetarian". It's so vapid and ignorant that JezuzFreek777 and VenomFangX look insightful in comparison, and even under the MST3KMantra, it just isn't remotely funny. It's kinda like [[TheAngryVideoGameNerd having a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in your ear]].
** And his response for when people rightfully got angry when he called babies idiots? He ''defended'' his case by saying their brains have yet to fully develop. In fact, most of his "Idiot Saga" shows just how ignorant he can be as well.
* The new series ''It Came From Beyond Midnight'' already has two in its first episode: Josh decribes Klaus Kinski only as a "German pervert" and Joe doesn't even know who he is (yet somehow knows about his daughter), and Josh declares Tim Burton a hack and repeatedly shouts down Joe every time he tries to defend him, really making himself look like a huge jerk with no interest in hearing anyone's opinions but his own. Kind of makes you wonder why he even got a co-host.
** It certainly doesn't make you wonder why the show was canceled before even airing on television. One wonders how TheSpoonyOne was involved, yet didn't decide to just do that idea himself with his brother, who have WAY better chemistry, ''interesting'' differences of opinion, and--oh yeah--aren't incredibly obnoxious. Hell, from that, you could even team up with the Cinema Snob. At least this leaves room for better 3am B-movie theatres like Off-Beat Cinema and the like.
* [[http://seanmalstrom.wordpress.com/2009/08/03/going-the-wrong-way/ This blog post]] by SeanMalstrom concerning [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jdG2LHair0&feature=player_embedded this video]]. Malstrom's adherence to the idea that video games should ''only'' have [[ExcusePlot Excuse Plots]] is already annoying, but what makes this particular post so irksome is that he decides to reinforce his beliefs by picking on some random [=YouTuber=] who probably doesn't even know he exists.
* Although ConfusedMatthew has received a lot of flack for his opinions on films such as ''TheLionKing'' and ''[[TwoThousandOne 2001 A Space Odyssey]]'', I have never felt any sense that he was doing anything other than honestly stating his opinion. However, in a review of ''MinorityReport'' he shouts obscenities at film critic RogerEbert and calls him a liar and an idiot for liking the film. He goes as far as to mock him and claim that he will 'revel in [his] humiliation'. It seems very wrong of him to verbally abuse and demean someone purely for their honest opinion on something and it made him come across very obnoxious and unpleasant as a result.

\n* Fioriparty's "The True Death of Hinata." This video %%Examples have been cut due to not being signed. If your example was a complete bias against Hinata and her fans. It pretty much makes Hinata's apparant death look like a good thing, proclaims that people only like Hinata for her boobs, and then states that all the useful things she's done were anime-only. And just cut feel free to piss us off, she cuts and pastes her face over important moments add it back in history like as if we see Hinata long as the most important thing ever. It was more than just a "TakeThat". It was a big fuck-you to all Hinata fans. Yeah, it's ironic that she calls her an overrated pair of boobs when this is her most overrated video.
* {{Moviebob}} had a terrible one in his review of James Cameron's ''Avatar'', where he claimed that
it made you a douchebag when you tried to point out one of the film's major flaws (a very standard, stock storyline). Being that critics are meant to inform you of a film's flaws, not encourage you to ignore them (in particular glaring ones), it's not something he should try saying. That's all MovieBob does these days, childishly insults anyone who disagrees with him.
** This troper was somewhat put off when Bob referred to himself as "obnoxiously intelligent" in his [=ScrewAttack=] debut.
