** Tropers/{{curiouskat}}: Though the Total Drama series thrives on drama antics for ratings, the inclusion of [[BaseBreakingCharacter Courtney]] is a bit of a toss-up depending on who'd you ask. She's a large reason for why many Dethroning Moments occur throughout this season, in my opinion--eliminations of certain characters because of her [[EliminationHoudini convenient immunity opportunities]], [[ScrewTheRulesIHaveConnections suing her way back into the game,]] et cetera. But no, this troper's Dethroning Moment lies within Courtney's treatment of Duncan upon her return. This was before Gwen and Duncan actually hooked up, mind you, and there was no real evidential proof of Duncan flirting with Gwen up to that point other than friendly banter and Courtney's resulting jealousy. She [[DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleonMale physically attacks him (barring the boundaries of specific challenges), belittles him,]] and on top of that, creates contracts for him to memorize in order for him to become "her perfect boyfriend". Wait, what? This can't possibly be Courtney. She was stuck-up before, but never this vengeful and controlling! This is what I considered the beginning of her subsequent CharacterDerailment, and it only gets worse with the embellishment of the terrible LoveTriangle from World Tour.

No longer a trope.

* Tropers/{{lasalle28}}: The biggest deal breaker of the third season for me was the episode "Greece's Pieces". The episode opens up with Courtney and Gwen talking about Duncan's return. Gwen, who [[YourCheatingHeart kissed Courtney's boyfriend yesterday]] after she finally befriends her, shows a grand total of ten seconds worth of guilt in the confessional and then contradicts herself by saying she won't tell Courtney about the kiss until it happens again and following it up by saying that she is looking forward to kissing him again and [[CaptainObvious asking into the camera if this makes her a bad person]]. Meaning she is still going to see him behind Courtney's back and won't do a thing about it until they kiss again. So much for the [[AesopAmnesia "As long as you're up front, nothing can bite you in the butt" girl from the previous season, right, Gwen?]]. Meanwhile Duncan, whom cheated on his girlfriend literally behind her back, is busy threatening Tyler to keep quiet about the kiss and then he is seen in the next scene mutually "eye-flirting" with Gwen with Courtney standing right next to her and Gwen lies to her face about it. At this point in time it's safe to say that [[TookALevelInJerkAss Duncan's]] JerkWithAHeartOfGold status he has is pretty much an InformedAbility from this point on, as is Gwen's supposed "guilt". The next scenes leading up to the ending is just Courtney [[ProperlyParanoid being suspicious about Duncan and Gwen]], Gwen pitifully trying to change the subject whenever Duncan is brought up, and Duncan being forced to sing (and one of his songs included saying that he does not regret kissing Gwen behind Courtney's back). When Tyler is forcibly told to spill the beans about Duncan and Gwen, Courtney gets understandably pissed, but what does Gwen do? Does she make any kind of attempt to apologize or accept any kind of responsibilty for her actions? No! Instead she [[CharacterDerailment cowers when Courtney gets mad, cries when they want to vote her off]], and starts cheering when Cody wins the challenge for her so that she [[KarmaHoudini can't get voted off]]. The scene that took the DMOS award goes to the ending. The episode's Crowning Moment of Disgusting for me was when Courtney, the show's JerkAss Tsundere [[SmallNameBigEgo Baxter]] is seen [[TearJerker crying uncontrollably]] while being comforted by [[ManipulativeBastard Hea]][[AlphaBitch ther]] of all people, while Gwen is doing what? Starting a confessional at the end of the episode by talking about how great the kiss was while smiling and topping that off by saying that her [[WasItReallyWorthIt sole regret]] was that [[ItsAllAboutMe she (Gwen)]] and her "[[YourCheatingHeart new]] [[JerkAss boyfriend]]" are going to be eliminated now...[[EliminationHoudini except he wasn't.]] How you ask? At the elimination, when it was unanimous decision to vote off Duncan, Chris, in all of his jerkass glory, announces that he is going to outright [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem ignore the votes and keep Duncan on the show despite the votes]] because Duncan is bringing the drama right now. Then the episode officially ends with Gwen cheering when Duncan doesn't leave and Courtney tearfully shouting 'I hate you!' at Gwen and Duncan. Duncan and Gwen in this episode were so [[CharacterDerailment derailed]] here, it was disgusting. They had no remorse for what they did, both were incredibly selfish, Duncan's JerkWithAHeartOfGold trait is officially an informed attribute from this point on, and Gwen went from being the OnlySaneMan to being [[NotSoDifferent just as bad as Duncan, Courtney, and especially Heather.]] This episode marked the beginning of everyone's character derailment and the last episode of this season (and maybe the series) that I ever watch.

* MagnusForce: I consider World Tour to be incredibly overrated, viewing it as just as bad as (if not worse than) Action. While there are a lot of reasons why I don't like the season (a few already covered on this page), the episode I despise the most is "Anything Yukon Do I Can Do Better" for its appalling and disrespectful handling of Bridgette, my absolute favourite character in the series. Watching a smart, sweet, strong, loving, and devoted girl like her fall for Alejandro made me cringe so much. It hurt me so much to see this wonderful, caring, admirable, sensible, and grounded woman being derailed into a shallow, slutty, hypocritical, weak, and needy bimbo; it deeply annoyed me that she was the only girl to be so seriously impacted by Al's charms (Gwen should have been easily charmed by Al too! Courtney should have been smitten by him before the breakup! Leshawna, Lindsay, and Izzy got off way too easy when it came to Al's flirtations and how it affected them!); it was so sad to see her failing so badly at her tear-filled promise back in the Action special to stay strong without Geoff and win the season for him; and it angers me so much that she now bears the horrible label of "cheater" as a result all this. And then Bridgette is basically tortured after getting her tongue stuck to the pole, with everyone (including her friends and teammates) doing nothing but ridiculing and mistreating her, and then her getting one of the cruelest and most humiliating eliminations on the show. Also, why did it have to be Bridgette specifically?! If any character should have been manipulated into cheating with Al, Lindsay and Leshawna should have been it (Lindsay's a moron who can't even remember her own boyfriend and has flirted with Trent and Justin while Leshawna's thing with Harold is extremely on-and-off)! And to top it off, this is the second time in a row Bridgette is the first girl voted off! Do the writers seriously have nothing better to do with her character except host the Aftermath with Geoff and be his girlfriend? [[DoubleStandard Oh, and let's not forget how Al is praised by the show as a magnificent genius for his actions while Bridgette gets condemned as a horrible bitch for them in the Aftermaths (with Blaineley even being shocked at Geoff for forgiving Bridgette despite Bridgette showing that she felt absolutely horrible for her actions) -- and then Duncan is celebrated as a fucking hero for cheating on Courtney!]] [[TheWoobie Bridgette]]'s treatment here is truly loathsome. It is a complete insult to her fans (just like with all of Team Victory sadly), defiles the fundamentals of her character and [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter completely wastes her potential]] so we can love and admire some overrated CousinOliver VillainSue, does nothing worthwhile for her relationship with Geoff (especially since Action ruined their relationship with so many fans), leaves a horrific and ugly scar on her character and its reputation, abuses and humiliates her for some bad attempts at black comedy [[DudeNotFunny (like the cringeworthy song that is "Stuck to a Pole" and Chris refusing to give Bridgette his water)]], and feels like the show was specifically targeting her for no good reason. I hate everything about what happened between Bridgette and Alejandro, and it makes me so mad that she will NeverLiveItDown. I wish none of it ever occurred because I have never seen any character I've loved so much being treated this hideously before, and Bridgette frankly deserves better than what the show keeps doing to her. What a disgusting usage of an amazing character.

** dvaderstarlord: I generally really liked Revenge of the Island, but I would like to expand on something from the above entry regarding Scott. I really liked Scott in Revenge even if I understood why he was TheScrappy and he was generally the only thing that made All-Stars worth it near the end of the season. This means that might be biased but when I watched the finale and saw that that was what happened to him, I could not believe that just about everybody laughed at him, he was a jerk and deserved some payback, but what actually happened was so over the line that I couldn't believe it. The only thing that I could say that is good was that [[NiceGuy Cameron]] unlike everybody else actually seemed to be somewhat concerned that a 16-year old boy, can't walk, talk and was nearly chewed to pieces by a savage shark that hates him for no good reason. Also the fact that they continue to play this horrible affliction that he has for comedy every time that he is given any focus for the rest of the episode, disgusted me.

put some more thought into it; both seasons are equally horrible

* Tropers/{{Gideoncrawle}}: Even after six increasingly uneven seasons, Lindsay's elimination in Season 1 remains the series' low point for me--a festering boil all the uglier for marring what is overall the best season. Lindsay had finally come into her own, being reasonably competent in two of her last three episodes (still the source of DumbBlonde jokes, but no longer incredible dumb), and she's eliminated without warning on a technicality that was absurd and poorly thought out [[UpToEleven even by Chris' standards]]. Eliminating Lindsay for being the last to cross the finish line in the finals, despite the fact that the rest of the racing world places the last finisher ahead of those who fail to finish, wasn't even the worst part. Why eliminate a finalist instead of someone who failed to qualify for the finals? Or Izzy or Leshawana, for that matter, neither of whom even participated in either the preliminary race or the finals? Leshawna didn't even build a bike. And what was the point of giving the winner invincibility if there wasn't going to be a vote? I get that Lindsay probably needed to go when she did because of how the story arc was meant to play out, but she was a main character. Was it too much to ask that her elimination make a modicum of sense? Although Leshawna's elimination a few episodes later was even more contrived, that was easier to stomach because it clearly satirized {{executive meddling}}.

* MagnusForce: I consider World Tour to be just as horrible as Action for a lot of reasons (a few already covered on this page), but the episode I despise most is "Anything Yukon Do I Can Do Better" for its appalling handling of Bridgette, my absolute favourite character in the series. Watching a smart, sweet, strong, and devoted girl like her fall for Alejandro made me cringe; I am disgusted at Alejandro for encouraging her feelings for him when a better man would tell her to back off and equally frustrated at the writers for making Bridgette act like the way she does, [[CharacterDerailment turning this wonderful, admirable, sensible, and down-to-earth character into a shallow, slutty, hypocritical, and needy bimbo]]. And as if the hideously OutOfCharacter infidelity she displays wasn't bad enough, Bridgette gets mistreated and ridiculed by everyone else (including her own teammates) for getting her tongue stuck to a pole, [[BreakTheCutie including getting one of the cruelest and most humiliating eliminations on the show (and almost dying as a result!)]]. To top it off, this is the second time in a row Bridgette is voted off early; do the writers seriously have nothing better to do with her character except host the Aftermath? This should have been her season! [[TheWoobie Bridgette]]'s treatment here is truly loathsome. It derails everything that makes her great and lovable so that she can fall for an overrated VillainSue, almost destroys her strongest and most heartwarming relationships for some unnecessary drama (Also, why was she the only girl to have her relationship seriously affected by Alejandro's actions?! Lindsay and Leshawna got off way too easy compared to her!), abuses and humiliates her for some unfunny jokes, heaps cruelty upon cruelty upon her for no good reason, and [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter completely wastes her potential]] just to make [[InvincibleVillain Alejandro]] look "good". What a disgusting usage of an amazing character.

I hate everything about what happened between Bridgette and Alejandro, and it makes me so mad that she will never live it down. * Tropers/{{Gideoncrawle}}: Even after six increasingly uneven seasons, Lindsay's elimination in Season 1 remains the series' low point for me--a festering boil all the uglier for marring what is overall the best season. Lindsay had finally come into her own, being reasonably competent in two of her last three episodes (still the source of DumbBlonde jokes, but no longer TooDumbToLive), and she's eliminated without warning on a technicality that was absurd and poorly thought out [[UpToEleven even by Chris' standards]].

* Tropers/{{Baronobeefdip}}: For ''Total Drama World Tour''-esque DMOS, look no further than [[TheScrappy Sierra]] revealing she had been [[ManipulativeBastard manipulating Cody's emotions]] in order to get close to him at the end of the episode in Paris. And Sierra sings quite an EarWorm of a song about this as well. Sounds like an attempt to develop Sierra's relationship with Cody and [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap save her from her "Scrappy" status]] right? Nope. Not to mention that, earlier, Chris yelled at Cody to make Sierra stop crying. Um, Chris, you find Sierra to be unbelievably annoying as well, remember? Or did you forget she wouldn't stop talking about your most embarrassing secrets ([[BerserkButton like being in a "boy band"]])? If anything, it just made the aforementioned reveal of Sierra playing [[ManipulativeBastard "manipulative bitch"]] to Cody all the more unbearable...and I'm not even that big of a Cody fan to begin with.

* Tropers/{{Ian}}: The aforementioned GainaxEnding in ''World Tour.'' Even for a show tilting towards CerebusSyndrome, seeing Al and Zeke get engulfed in lava and horribly disfigured (the latter on fire and screaming in pain) is pretty heavy stuff. The Dethroning Moment sinks in when you realize they created all that NightmareFuel just for the sake a couple of asinine, poorly-written, cliched, and entirely predictable homages to ''[[Film/TheLordOfTheRingsTheReturnOfTheKing Return of the King]]'' and [[StarWars Revenge of the Sith]], complete with a BigNo contrivedly shoehorned in. In fact, that brings up another problem with the season finales- the writers' insistence on having "alternate endings so not even the actors know who wins." I'm sorry, but that's the close to the stupidest thing I've ever heard. They already know the entire plot, all the eliminations up to the final 2, and the circumstances of the win that are pretty much the same regardless of the victor. The only secret left is 30 seconds of footage and three or four lines of dialogue. Do they seriously think that it's worth diluting the impact of the finale just for that? Also the aforementioned BigNo makes no sense in the version where Heather wins, [[FridgeLogic why would Al be sad to learn that the person who kicked him in the kiwis and embarrassed him on national television just lost a million dollars?]] I don't know why the director has such a hard-on for alternate endings, but I pray that the crew shake-up prior to "Revenge of the Island" knocks some sense into someone.

The only thing that I could say that is good was that [[NiceGuy Cameron]] actually seemed to be somewhat concerned that a 16-year old boy, can't walk, talk and was nearly chewed to pieces by a savage shark that hates him for no good reason. Also the fact that they continue to play this horrible affliction that he has for comedy every time that he is given any focus for the rest of the episode, disgusted me.

* AjWargo: In my opinion, the worst moment of Season 1 was the end of "Camp Castaways". Chris decides to waste an entire elimination ceremony, and therefore episode, just to get rid of Owen’s CompanionCube, Mr. Coconut. I remember when I heard that I was upset. Why couldn’t Chris just send Owen home? No one likes an episode that ends up being filler, and that’s exactly what this episode is in my opinion!

** Tropers/InfinityLeague: I'm adding this to my DMOS as well, not only for all the reasons the above trope listed, but because of how Cartoon Network butchered the episode's dialogue for the USA release. Now, for those who don't remember, when CN first started airing the show, [[{{Bowdlerization}} they censored the dialogue like nobody's business, replacing all the "obscenities" like "crap" and "sucks" (if they were strong enough to even be called that) and replacing them with more family-friendly fare]] ([[DoubleStandard even words that were already considered family-friendly, like "stupid" and "sucker," were censored despite being used frequently in CN's other shows]].) Perhaps the worst example of this insult-to-the-viewer's intelligence was in "That's Off the Chain" which, in the Canadian dub, was capped off by Lindsay cursing Heather out in her personal SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome. What made that scene great was that it was the first extended use of strong language on the show, [[ClusterBleepBomb and it was all bleeped out so it would be acceptable to air on TV]]. Cartoon Network took that scene and... replaced all the censor bleeps with GoshDangItToHeck-level insults. Um, [[FlatWhat what]]. CN, you do realize that the swears were already censored, right? The kiddies in the audience were already unable to hear the words she was using, so there was no reason to censor it again. What, are you afraid that kids in the audience would know that the act of swearing in and of itself exists? I call bullshit; kids swear all the time, and even those who don't have probably heard all the SevenDirtyWords from their parents or other sources before they hit their double-digits. It just irks me that CN's censor-happy executives completely neutered Lindsay's crowning moment with their paranoid, condescending bullshit.

Now, as much as I like Sam and wanted to see him go far this season, I don't have problems with him being eliminated as much as I do the reason why he got eliminated. [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome After Sam owns Alejandro in the challenge]], causing the Villains to go to the elimination ceremony for the third time in a row, Chris reveals that Sam had actually cheated by stuffing some of the pancake his team was supposed to eat in his pockets. Not only is this [[OutOfCharacterMoment out of character for]] [[NiceGuy Sam]] (unless he was saving it for whoever went to Boney Island that night), it seemed like a major AssPull, in the episode's final few minutes no less, to get him eliminated. [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome After Sam owns Alejandro in the challenge]], causing the Villains to go to the elimination ceremony for the third time in a row, Chris reveals that Sam had actually cheated by stuffing some of the pancake his team was supposed to eat in his pockets. Sam says that he saved it because he was worried about going to Boney Island again and wanted to save some food just in case. Not only is this [[OutOfCharacterMoment out of character for]] [[NiceGuy Sam]] (unless he was saving it for whoever went to Boney Island that night), it seemed like a major AssPull, in the episode's final few minutes no less, to get him eliminated. Why SnapBack such an awesome moment for a character that had spent the first three episodes of the season as TheChewToy just to make him look like a somewhat selfish [[CheatersNeverProsper cheater?]]

** Tropers/{{Scarletscorpio}}: Actually, Courtney targeting Gwen to me was understandable. With Duncan, while she had the obvious history with him, he was gone for the entire first half of the season up until the London episode. Meanwhile, Courtney was bonding with Gwen. From Courtney's point of view, she finally trusts the girl she's been accusing of trying to steal her boyfriend ([[ProperlyParanoid which turns out to be half correct in that regard]]) and literally the next day, she finds out that the girl whom she finally trusted made out with her boyfriend. She is never told any other details, only that they kissed. So, ignoring the fact that Duncan already got knocked out by Cody, she lashes out at Gwen and seeing the lack remorse on both their sides, she strives to vote(not 'murder') them out starting with Gwen. Which leads to my DMoS in this episode being Gwen confessional at the end of the episode, you know where after everything is said and done and she can clearly her Courtney crying her heart out...she only talks about how 'great' the kiss was and how it's going to affect their (meaning Duncan and Gwen) chances of winning the competition. The girl (who should know the pain of the feeling of betrayal when she thought Trent cheated on her, who was one of the few OnlySaneMan ,raged against Heather when she pulled all those stunts, and was actually one of the more decent characters in terms of niceness) can only say that regrets ruining her and Duncans chances at the million...and not, you know, having a hand in stomping all over a relationship and backstabbing her new friend. Seriously, she is so derailed here that the Geoff derailment in TDA look well-written in comparison; And that's not even covering her actions in Australia with Cody and making the audience think she fell, broke her head, got amnesia and consequently get a new personality.

Removing "no ASSCAPS".

* No ALLCAPS, no [[AC:asscaps]], no bold, and no italics unless it's the title of a work. We are not yelling the [=DMoSs=] out loud.

I hated this episode and I saw it wasn't here

* {{Tropers/Woddor}}: I was close to putting "Hurl and Go Seek" here, but instead I'll choose the finale, "Lies, Cries and One Big Prize." The episode pulls a Sundae Muddy Sundae by completely making the season pointless by ruining Sky & Dave and Shawn & Jasmine's relationships (although the later manages to fix itself), with Dave being catapulted into TheScrappy territory by going from a insufferable whiner to a abusive psychopath. The episode killed my interest in Total Drama, even after I made it through Hawaiian Punch, Sundae Muddy Sundae and The Final Wreck-Ening.

* Tropemaster849: I will gladly add "Hurl and Go Seek" in place of Woddor as it almost made me stop watching the season. The challenge is beyond disgusting, with [[JerkAss Chris]] forcing everyone to eat Expired food and then barely batting an eye, when everyone(minus Shawn) gets food poisoning. The fact it made nearly everyone(excluding Shawn and Jasmine)look like zombies was hard to sit through. Sugar was even worse then normal, with her gleefully eating the expired food and even going back for seconds! But the worse part was the climax to the Sky/Dave mess. I was always more invested with Jasmine/Shawn(Who did get back together in this episode, which is the only good thing about it), but the way Sky tells Dave off was way too harsh(Although he did have it coming) and Dave decent into madness made him in worse and more whiny and annoying. If ''one'' episode can almost make me give up on a season I was enjoying, it should never be watched ever again.

* Tropers/{{Ajustice}}: I think the finale of ''WesternAnimation/TotalDramaIsland'' in America and Canada is a [=DMoS=] cause they let Owen beat Gwen. And the only reason Owen won is because everyone helped him win so they have a party. And seriously Gwen was more deserving of winning; she won more challenges, went through love and loss, and took down Heather the antagonist, while Owen farted, ate, lost his pants, and got beat up a lot. I just want to say I am a fan of Owen as well, and that I'm fat and lazy like him and I am okay that Owen proved fat guys can be winners, but that would've worked better if he was competing against Heather or a ButtMonkey, but not Gwen. It's because the comedic relief who just wanted a party beat a person who went from a recluse to the most developed character on the show and wanted to used the money to help her go to college and make her mom's life easier that makes it a [=DMoS=]. And if you've seen the alternate ending you'll realize that it's better, Gwen and Owen split the money, everyone minus Heather still would've have had a wild party, and Trent encouraging Gwen to win was a much better way for the two to get hook up. This troper would also like to admit that he wrote the TDI alternate ending as one of the show's [=CMoA=].

* TheRealDonEast: Since Courtney's lightning fast CharacterDerailment is accounted for, I'll put down "The Final Wreck-ening" is probably the worst finale in Total Drama history. First off, there's the fact only four of the eliminated contestants actually appear onscreen, TDA & TDWT's finales were bad but at least those had all the season's competitors present. They're just trapped in balloon filled by [[TheCameo Owen's]] farts and drift away into [[FridgeHorror who knows where.]] Then there's how [[spoiler: Mike]] won, it was so cheaply done & rushed that there was little difference between it and the alternate ending where [[spoiler: Zoey]] wins. And finally, there's how [[spoiler: Mal was defeated. After a season of build up as a BiggerBad & being presented as one step ahead of everyone, Mal gets hit with the VillainBall big time by placing a literal ResetButton for Mike to push, defeating Mal once and for all. No epic showdown like when Mike faced off with his personalities last season, Mal just goes out kicking & screaming. Anti-climaitc doesn't even begin to describe it.]] It's a pity it had to end this way, because the first half of the season was pretty good.
