Contacted by the Ikinaga clan's new head Sasuke, Shirou joined the tournament worried about the consequences this act might unfold.

As a teenage girl, she used to be praised by her family for her ability to mimic opponents' abilities, she was pushed as a future bloodliner by her family's leading figure. She wasn't pleased the least by this, and back-stabbed them by joining the Bloodlines' biggest enemy: the Chikanoshi group. She didn't stay with them very long though, preferring a life of wandering. Wanted by everyone, she heard of the legendary warrior Shirou Kira who beat the Ikinaga scourge by himself. Interested, she found him and stayed behind the cover of the newly-created Triacle for a year. When she hears of the Ikinaga family's new leader opening their domain with a tournament, Konona disappears from the Triacle's sight, in order to see for herself what it amounts to.

* MeaningfulRename: Yuuta has no real family name. He gave himself the name Meinichi, which means 'anniversary of death', when his sister disappeared 10 years after the death of his mother.

Determined to get a real fight with Shirô, he spent his time hunting down hints that would lead to him, and the two had another fight that remained unfinished due to Shirou's leaving. Intent on destroying the Triacle (Shirou's organization), Tasuke continued his hunt until his father sent him an invitation to his upcoming tournament. Convinced by the challenge and the possibility of the Triacle showing up, Tasuke joined and departed to his birthplace for the first time in two years.
