Greg Rucka (born November 29, 1969) is an American crime novelist who wrote six novels featuring bodyguard Literature/AtticusKodiak before crossing over into comic books with ''ComicBook/{{Whiteout}}'' and going on to write a highly respected run on ''Franchise/WonderWoman'' and several Franchise/{{Batman}} and Franchise/{{Superman}} titles. His creator-owned ''ComicBook/QueenAndCountry'' series is unusual in that he has written comics ''and'' novels in the storyline. He is currently writing the creator-owned FeudalFuture CrapsackWorld Creator/ImageComics series ''ComicBook/{{Lazarus}}'' (with his ''ComicBook/GothamCentral'' collaborator Michael Lark) and a creator-owned series called ''ComicBook/BlackMagick'' with artist Nicola Scott (''ComicBook/BirdsOfPrey'', ''Comicbook/TeenTitans'').

While her commmandant offered to accept what he knew would be a false assertion that she was straight, Kate chose to adhere to West Point's student code of not lying and left the school.[[/note]] He personally has trained as a fight choreographer and worked as an EMT for a time.
