David Allen Ogden Stiers[[note]]last name pronounced ''STY-ers'', not "steers"[[/note]] (October 31, 1942 – March 3, 2018) was an American actor and conductor who first came to prominence as the pompous Major Charles Emerson Winchester III on ''Series/{{MASH}}''.
