%%The young Emperor of Bronquia, Gulcasa wrested leadership of his country from a loathed predecessor in a bloody coup d'état and, at the age of twenty, is a terrifying threat to his enemies and a beloved sovereign to his own people. After stabilizing Bronquia, he launched an invasion and conquest of Fantasinia that went nearly perfectly--the only snarl in the plan was that Yggdra escaped her parents' fate. The two of them clash multiple times over the course of the story; Yggdra gradually goes from seeing him as an evil dictator and murderer to perceiving him as a ruler [[NotSoDifferent who is much the same as she is]]. Gulcasa is a shrewd ruler, but can be brash and ignore his own condition once he loses his temper, which gives him some trouble after his DeadlyUpgrade.

* NotSoDifferent: Although he wasn't happy that Gulcasa killed the previous Emperor before he could get the chance, Leon figured that they wanted to do so for similar enough reasons that he could deal with it. He is also this to Milanor, outside of fighting and his love of battle there isn't much that gives him joy, the same way Milanor is very laid-back outside of his usual cunning in battle.

* NotSoDifferent: She tries pointing this out to Yggdra, who just gets confused.

* BattleAmongstTheFlames: Upon Genocide's activation, the entire battlefield will be aflamed. [[spoiler:Upon awakening Brongaa's power, it sets the entire Castle Bronquia on fire.]]

* OneManArmy: As soon as his [[ChargeMeter Rage Meter]] reaches full and you haven't reduced his {{Mook}}s to size, he pretty much won. His card, Genocide, sacrifices all of his {{Mook}}s for a substantial stat boost, which more than makes up for number disadvantage. In addition, his Genocide effect reduce your morale drastically, despite his number loss.

* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: He is certainly a warrior emperor who takes to the battlefield. You meet him as soon as you are liberating Paltina.

* VillainWithGoodPublicity: [[spoiler:He is beloved by Bronquia because he overthrew their cruel and loathed predecessor. As a result, the Bronquian were more than willing to stop the Royal Army from reaching Gulcasa.]]

* JeanneDArchetype: A blonde LadyOfWar who wields the Gran Centurio as a symbol of justice. [[spoiler:Even her class, upon her coronation, becomes "La Pucelle," which is the title of Joan of Arc]].

* YouKilledMyFather: She is furious of Gulcasa's murder of her parents [[spoiler:that she foolishly pursued him and got caught in a trap.]]

* BrainsAndBondage: As the sole sorceress of the team, she is known for her bondage fetish. She gains a huge amount of morale when given torture and bondage equipment, like rusted chain and iron shackles, which would otherwise be useless or even detrimental when equipped.

* NiceShoes: His equipments are all shoes with nice effects, from Tough Boots which voids poison effect to Dragon Boots, which gives the wearer the Dragon movement.

* RunningGag: Every time he appears, he always come with a different type of shoes as his equipment.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After losing to you at Nyllard Desert, he decided to screw the payment and leave with his life. He is never fought again afterwards.
* ShockAndAwe: His signature card is Thunderbolt, which allows him to deal Lightning damage to the enemy and inflict Paralysis, which prevents them from moving but doesn't affect their combat ability.

* RapePillageAndBurn: With the Temple Knights preoccupied with the corruption within the Church, Dort and his gang took advantage of the vacancy and attacked villages through Nyllard Desert.
