A rather shy inventor who meets Jani while she's wandering outside Silversand wondering her purpose in life. She unwittingly spills the beans to him about a rather important human technology, vulcanized rubber (necessary for all "fast" modern land vehicles), and end up forming a business partnership.

* GadgeteerGenius: Is not unlike da Vinci -- inventions ahead of his time, but missing key resources to fully realize many of them.
* MeaningfulName: B. Hevea is a reversal of ''Hevea brasiliensis'', the scientific name for the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hevea_brasiliensis rubber tree]]. It also keeps the custom going of Pokemon professors being named after trees, though they don't usually use the scientific name.
* MemeticMutation: The Bidoof's memetic status of being more than what their doofy appearance would suggest had some bearing in this character's species choice. Much like ''WebAnimation/PokemonRusty'' turned Bidoof into a deity, sarysa turned another Bidoof into a scientist. Still somewhat {{adorkable}}, though.
* NoSocialSkills: Played quite straight -- he's nocturnal (albeit normal for a beaver, not so much for sentient beings), shy, and stutters whenever he's not talking about one of his inventions.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Wiki/TVTropes' limited text colors made it necessary to differentiate Jani and Hevea's colors, both of which would normally be cinnamon. So the author made him shiny... of course RuleOfFunny had a role as well.
* StutterStop: Most of the time, he speaks with a prominent stutter. Its frequency is in tune with his stress levels, though it magically seems to fade away whenever he goes into technical detail about one of his inventions.

Updating for the big reveal at the end of Hoard.

Following Merqury and Bella's defeat at the end of the Hoard arc, Serris attempts to invoke a deal he had struck with Ripley behind the party's back to trap them in Hoard and use them as guinea pigs for his science partners, intending to take advantage of human knowledge of game mechanics and tropes, [[TheReveal revealing]] himself to have been an antagonist the entire time. The party is ultimately let go anyway thanks to Ripley's intervention.

* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Fittingly for a serpentine Pokemon, he has a habit of turning traitor. He first turned on Merqury by making a patent behind his back and later conspiring to oust him from power, induced the Kapitani to do the same, and betrayed the party by forcing Ripley to make a deal with him that forces ''her'' to betray them as well - [[SpannerInTheWorks though that didn't go according to plan]]. If Merqury predicted correctly, he may be set on betraying Ripley herself in the future.

* FaceHeelTurn: At the conclusion of the Hoard arc, though whether he was a Face beforehand or not is debatable.

This seriously annoys Merqury, who only begrudgingly lets it happen.

A Dugtrio who meets Jani in the dojo. He mistook her for a Diglett he happened to know, but then decided to help her train for her next match. Is a C-ranked professional battler in the global circuit.

* AscendedExtra: Twice ascended in fact...maybe even thrice. Was originally meant as a mere teaser for the Orbs arc's location (as well as to avoid accusations of AssPull), then used to give Jani someone to bounce off while recovering in triage. Then when [[RealLifeWritesThePlot Irma knocked out sarysa's power for a week]], he allowed Jani to participate when unable to coordinate with other players.
* DittoAliens: Jani quips that Digletts all look the same anyway, and Digda says little to counter that.
** Later defied when Digda manages to identify key similarities between Jani and Milly -- while he spent a lot of time doing so, one can infer that he originally got these tells from the real Milly with a mere cursory glance.
* MeaningfulName: Digda (ディグダ) is the Japanese name for Diglett.
* MentorArchetype: Really becomes this for Jani in many ways -- having an interest in her due to MistakenIdentity, he not only teaches Jani how to fight, but also
* MistakenIdentity: Mistakes Jani for someone in his past.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Aside from his expanded role being the result of sarysa's real world power outage, he also helps Jani get up to speed on the rules of the world -- based on feedback from players finding Jani's ignorance to be grating at times.

Milly is the original owner of the body Jani ended up in when she was forced into the WHABP world. Presumably, her soul is in Jani's human body in the human world.

* ActualPacifist: Heavily implied by Digda to be this, seeing how she'd [[HoldYourHippogriffs never hurt a Cutiefly]].
* FreakyFridayFlip: Without all the fun and learning -- it's strongly implied that Jani and Milly switched both bodies and worlds.

The aforementioned 'largest private army on the island', with Kapitani Khmalidze as its leader. Grew out of a humble Pawniard pack and mostly consists of Pawniards, but is open to all species. All of its members thus far are assorted Steel-types, including Magnezones, Aggrons, Skarmories and Beldums.

* LawEnforcementInc: As detailed on the main page, they function as the police in Hoard.
* MauveShirt: A few noteworthy Pawniard troopers receive some degree of individual characterisation, mostly high-ranking ones that receive a lot of 'screentime', such as the [[MookLieutenant Sergeant-Major]] in charge of the containment zone surrounding Hoard.
* {{Mooks}}: PlayedWith somewhat; they'd likely be nothing more than fodder for the average action game protagonist, but the player characters, experienced in battle they may be, are anything but - not to mention, they'd be facing a literal ''army''. This is best demonstrated during the encounter at Fan's apartment, where even a small squad of rank-and-file Pawniard troopers pose enough of a threat to Eliot and Mila that they have to rely on subterfuge and misdirection to come out in one piece, and Mila still gets a gash across the chest for her troubles.
* PrivateMilitaryContractors: The only permanent loyalty they have is to Kapitani Khmalidze, and will otherwise work for whoever pays.
* RealityEnsues: They receive mental training which lets even basic soldiers NoSell mind-altering moves such as Attract and Hypnosis; a perfectly sensible thing for them to do, considering that such tricks are common knowledge and can be learned by just about anyone.
* ShoutOut: The leader of a recurring trio of Pawniard guards has to delegate note-taking to his second-in-command, but must still read it back, and the third member does nothing but watch the other two. This is a slightly obtuse reference to a popular [[RussianHumor Russian joke]], unchanged since Soviet times: ''why do police officers come in groups of three? One to read, one to write, and one to keep an eye on the two dangerous intellectuals''.

pimping Delilah's section in light of recent developments involving her

A Garchomp that Goobert has the hots for. Eventually does get into a relationship with Goobert.

A kindly but somewhat sensitive Garchomp that Goobert has the hots for. Eventually does get into a relationship with Goobert.
for, eventually becoming Goobert's girlfriend.

* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Delilah started off as a somewhat generic NiceGirl archetype before eventually becoming a FragileFlower haunted by a DarkAndTroubledPast.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Eventually, it's revealed that Delilah has a troubled history with Mega Evolution to say the least. The first (and, as it turns out, the last) time she attempted to do so was when she used her mother's own Garchompite to Mega Evolve without asking. Unprepared for the transformation, [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity Delilah went crazy]] and wound up attacking and crippling her mother when she attempted to help Delilah. Afterwards, Delilah swore she'd never Mega Evolve (or even battle) again and dedicated herself to helping people instead of hurting them, leading to her becoming a lifeguard.

* StepfordSmiler: It's hinted occasionally that she seems to have repressed memories of a past incident involving Mega Evolution, considering her discomfort with the concept and frequent urges for Goobert and Marlon to be careful with them.

It's eventually revealed that the last time Delilah attempted to Mega Evolve, she went crazy and nearly killed her own mother.

!!Tropes applying to all three:

* FreudianTrio: In most circumstances, Marsha is the Id, Delilah is the Superego, and Benji is the Ego.
* UndyingLoyalty: After Marsha makes a promise to Finley to have Goobert's back whenever he's away from the party, the three of them eventually gain this towards Goobert, to the point of staying by his side when he rejoins the party. (Impressive considering that they've only known each other for just over a week by the time they and Goobert join the party.)

Added DiffLines:

* TheNapoleon: Marsha is shorter than usual for a Swampert (only being about 3' 11') and loud-mouthed at times. (Though this is balanced out by her [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold genuinely good nature]].)

Added DiffLines:

* FullyDressedCartoonAnimal: Delilah buys a red swimsuit in Hoard and takes to wearing it most of the time.

Added DiffLines:

* ShoutOut: With her job as a co-lifeguard to Marsha and the red one-piece swimsuit she begins wearing as of the Hoard arc, Delilah has become a walking ''Series/{{Baywatch}}'' reference.

* Nerd: Fairly traditional in this regard, but complicated. She routinely geeks out on science topics, and has a science education and engineering background. A bit more [[ExtravertedNerd extraverted]] than one might expect, but the [[HatePlague Viral Aggression]] mostly brought that out, though she's also bit tone deaf and socially naive. Definitely more brainy than brawny, as she's lost every battle against humanmon opponents, all of which have been type-advantaged for her. Her competence against [=NPCs=] can be chalked up to HumansAreSpecial seeping into the RP overall.

* CantHoldHerLiquor: Mainly due to being a literal lightweight. Her human tolerance is unknown.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Originally I gave the 8-inch Jani the "shrunken character" vision where everything seems [[https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/looking-up-tall-trees-forest-shenandoah-national-park-virginia-32142513.jpg exaggeratedly large]], so she couldn't see if a tree had berries. Decided to 86 that as it'd just drag the plot down.

** While she eventually comes to realize (more like comes to terms with) she's human, her memories are still scrambled -- particularly what humans look like.

* TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody: Like most characters, Jani has selective Diglett instincts for the sake of [[AnthropicPrinciple plot convenience]]. She immediately knew her means for locomotion, which includes digging underground and digging forward while above ground, as well as a couple other basic instincts...the most out there being her ability to detect individuals on land while underground. Her reactions to elemental forces have also been swayed by the instincts of her typing. She ''doesn't'', however, have any understanding of how her other moves work, and at first ends up winging it with rather pitiful results.
