* TheSmartGirl: Perceptive and sometimes more self-confident than Shuuichi, she frequently supports and defends her from others' inadequate aggression, even cutting Maho's bullying of her sister and shutting her up once.

* CoolBigSis: To Shuuichi, initially; a much needed one when the biological sister was a BigSisterBully. They later become love interests.
* {{Foil}}: To Maho. Maho is more out-going and appears approachable, but has a strong {{jerkass}} streak and cannot treat Shuuichi being transgender civilly.
