* ThouShallNotKill: One of their central tenets as Bracers only aim to protect life and not take it.

The top-ranked Bracer of the Crossbell Branch of the Guild, known by moniker "Divine Blade of Wind" and someone believed to be worthy of promotion to S-Rank. As the games begin, he is considered the hero of Crossbell, able to succeed wherever the ineffective police fail.

* CynicismCatalyst: Was once an idealistic police officer and Bracer with a strong sense of justice. The escalating information war between Erebonia and Calvard resulting in the accident that left his wife dead, and his daughter blinded resulted in him joining Crois to make the Azure Zero project a reality, as he saw it as the only way to make Crossbell a strong and independent state and prevent similar tragedies from ever happening again.
* DeathFromAbove: His first two S-Crafts, ''Aeolus' Fury'' and ''Termination Slash-Black Emperor's Sword'', end with him leaping into the air and barreling down on his foes with an overhead slash and downwards sword thrust respectively.
* DecliningPromotion: By the start of ''Zero'', he has been offered a promotion to S-Rank Bracer numerous times, no doubt to fill in the vacuum from Cassius leaving the Guild to return to the military. He declined outright, stating he's not in Cassius league, and possibly out of guilt for his role in assisting Crois in the Azure Zero project which went against the Guild's code.

* HeroOfAnotherStory: He is mentioned in ''Cold Steel IV'' [[spoiler:having helped the SSS and the Bracers to pass a blockade established by Walter to prevent them from interfering with Erebonia.]]

* LightningBruiser: As to be expected of a MasterSwordsman considered the strongest Bracer in Crossbell, he's very fast and can hit extremely hard, whether as an ally or an enemy.

* RuggedScar: Has one across his left cheek to denote his status as a veteran Bracer and MasterSwordsman.

* {{Workaholic}}: His status as Crossbell's #1 Bracer puts him in high demand with multiple requests daily. At the start of Chapter 2 of ''Zero'', Michel notes that he goes through about 100 requests per month and is shocked at how he doesn't mind it. Part of his pitch to try to convince Arios to accept the promotion to S-Rank is that it would lighten his workload and [[WhenYouComingHomeDad give him more time to spend with his daughter.]] ''Azure'' reveals that Arios was driven by some ulterior motives for keeping so busy: firstly, it provided him with enough cover to secretly meet with his fellow Azure-Zero co-conspirators, as the inconsistencies in his reporting were simply chalked up to him being overwhelmed by his workload. Secondly, his workaholism was also a coping mechanism for the grief that weighed on him thanks to the "accident" that killed his wife and blinded his daughter.

A rising star of the Calvardian Branch of the Bracer Guild who, in S.1207, managed to break Sara Valestein's record of being the youngest Bracer to reach A-Rank. She's an old friend of both the CID agent [[Characters/TrailsSeriesCalvardMiscellaneous René Kincaid]] and the Spriggan [[Characters/TrailsSeriesCalvardArkrideSolutionsOffice Van Arkride]].

* ColorCodedCharacters: Elaine is largely associated with the color green, being the color of her eyes and the most prominent color on her Bracer outfit. ''Kuro II'' doubles down on this, as both her new casual clothes and her Xipha are green too.[[note]]In ''Kuro I'', her Xipha had the same brown cover as those belonging to the other Bracers[[/note]]

* ContraltoOfStrength: A MasterSwordsman and LadyOfWar who beat Sara Valestein's record in becoming the youngest A-rank Bracer, with Creator/ChiwaSaito giving her the lowest voice of all playable girls in the first two ''Kuro'' games.

* IWillFindYou: Part of the reason she became a Bracer was to look for Van after [[spoiler:he broke up with her and suddenly disappeared.]]

* RebelliousPrincess: Elaine is the daughter and heiress of a wealthy family. However, rather than live a cushy lifestyle, she instead chose to work as Bracer after graduation partially in defiance to her father.

* SinsOfOurFathers: It becomes apparent later on that part of her motive for becoming a Bracer is a desire to hold her father accountable for his less than savoury actions such as [[spoiler:backing anti-immigration terrorists, sponsoring Armata, and being responsible for Van being taken by the DG Cult.]]

* UptownGirl: She's a wealthy heiress and renowned Bracer and whereas Van grew up an orphan and is a Spriggan. [[spoiler:They used to date.]]

!! B-Rank Bracers

* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: She has a great deal more respect for Cassius than his own daughter does, in part because of the whole S-Rank Bracer thing and in part because [[spoiler:he also studied the sword under her grandfather.]] She seizes the opportunity to meet with him when it arises.

A member of the Erebonian Branch of the Bracer Guild, recruited by Olivert to be a part of the Crimson Wings. Formerly a co-worker of Sara's from her Bracer days, he looks out for Class VII whenever he can at her request. In ''Cold Steel II'', he accompanies Rean in his search for his classmates. It's also revealed that the book series, Carnelia, is based on the life of Toval himself.

* BadassLongcoat: Wears a white longcoat, and while not on Arios or Cassius' level, is still quite capable in a fight as a Senior Bracer, even holding off [[TheDragon Campanella]] during ''Cold Steel III''.

* NoodleIncident: The "incident involving an artifact" which led to him meeting Ein and becoming a Bracer is currently unexplained, though the novel "Carnelia" is allegedly loosely based on what happened.
