Even when the Hell Train departs from the Mushroom Farm, Jourdan, Arcu, and many other Regulars of the station have gathered with signs and such at the boarding platform begging Hockney to come back.

Once a subordinate of the previous ruler, Grand De Sah, Hell Joe led a rebellion to take control of South City after being provided the Red Thryssa from Urek, and then made a deal with FUG to provide the organization the Thorn Fragments in return for Hell Joe finally being allowed to escape the Floor of Death. Over time, Hell Joe managed to locate three of the four fragments, and sent them out of the Floor of Death.

In the present, Hell Joe continues the search for the final Thorn Fragment, but is greeted by the FUG Slayer, Karaka, who informs Hell Joe that there's someone amongst the recent Floor of Death intruders (Bam's group) that can help him finally escape. In order to deal with the intruders, Hell Joe baits his enemies to attack his South City castle by claiming that he's found the last Thorn Fragment.

* AGodIAmNot: He states that he isn't a god and that the title just came from Regulars who were in awe of his strength.
