The resulting paradox caused a massive increase in Eclipse activity making up the events of the game, so in order to fix this, Shiori attempts to drag all of Japan (and possibly the entire world) into Pandora's Box to keep the illusion going and stabilize the Eclipse. The problem is that it puts more people in danger of being killed by Greeds in the process, something that Kou and the X.R.C. will not stand by and let happen.
