* AdaptationalNiceGuy: And how! He goes from being a genuinely mean-spirited, unpleasant character in the books to a cynical, pessimistic, kind of grouchy but well-meaning person who genuinely cares about his friends and even tries to help them out (even if he complains a little). He even smiles sometimes on the show and even expresses sadness. He even tolerates Mr. Tickle's shenanigans (sometimes).

to:

* OnlySaneMan: He's one of the few other than Mr. Persnickety not to get caught up in the latest shenanigans. Even then he has a few rare NotSoAboveItAll moments.

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Played with. Mr. Fussy sort of beat him at his own game, but because both ended up switching objectives, Mr. Stubborn actually got what he originally wanted out of the stubborn-off.

* DuckSeasonRabbitSeason: Unintentionally with Mr. Fussy, he tried to sell him a car, which he didn't want, but then Mr. Stubborn decided that Mr. Fussy wasn't good enough for his car, suddenly Mr. Fussy wanted it, and ended up being one of the rare times Mr. Stubborn "lost" (he got what he originally wanted, though, so is it really a loss?)

* NeverMyFault: Nearly 100% of the time he either blames something or goes on a warpath with anyone who dare disagree with him.
