Not an example, as Ganondorf was going to get loose soon anyway (other material has specified that the previous Calamity damaged Hyrule Castle enough to accelerate the decline of Rauru's seal). Also, Zelda does make some connection, specifically referring to how Ganondorf's name is one reason she feels uneasy about him. Zelda being sent back into the past is itself ultimately depicted as the work of a higher power (since her time powers only effect objects) and her focusing more on trying to return to her time would not have changed Phantom Ganon's actions. Her and Sonia's response of trying to trap him only failed due to Ganondorf having powers they had no knowledge of (assuming him appearing like that even was a power and not just stealth).

* FatalFlaw: Zelda's '''inability to let things be''' is painted as such in ''Tears of the Kingdom'', where her and Link's entrance into the Sealing Chamber ([[WorfHadTheFlu while she cannot seal anything]]) upsets the balance between the Right Arm and the mummy, getting her (and Link) defeated and starting the Upheaval. [[spoiler:This comes up again in the Dragon Tears, which show her time spent exiled in the past. Even Rauru and Sonia tell Zelda to focus on trying to get back home, but the princess is repeatedly distracted by a desire to help out in their era; ultimately, she fails to keep focused, [[TemporalMutability and her attempts to intervene are why everything played out in the way they did]].]]

* IdiotBall: [[spoiler:It isn't clear if Zelda is trying to avoid the ButterflyOfDoom or genuinely forgot that "the great evil" has reincarnated countless times throughout history, but she doesn't connect '''Ganon'''dorf with Calamity '''Ganon''', nor does she seem to tell anyone in the past of what happened in her time. She also woefully underestimates Ganondorf, evidently thinking the Gerudo chief didn't have any magic abilities other than [[MinionsCustomizedAtCreation making doppelgangers and other beings out of darkness]], when she herself has two such abilities due to her heritage; alas, Ganondorf [[{{Invisibility}} could also disappear and reappear]], and used his puppet as a decoy.]]

** In ''Breath of the Wild'', Zelda had basically nothing to show for her efforts, with her dutiful training to awaken her powers bore no fruit, and her study of the Sheikah tech was less-than-noteworthy and unacknowledged. The only remnant of her after 100 years ([[TimeAbyss other than her still being alive]]) is the memory of the few who were alive at the time, and her status as a legend among other Hylians. [[spoiler: By the GoldenEnding, Zelda is perfectly fine with the loss of the powers she finally attained after working so hard, satisfied with the confirmation from Link that there are still people alive who remember her and care about her.]]
