* GreaterScopeVillain: He is this of the first two King of Fighters games as Goenitz is responsible for many things, such as killing leona’s parents, giving Rugal a piece of Orochi’s power and setting Rugal up as a candidate for Orochi’s return.

* DragonInChief: Goenitz is this to Orochi, while he is technically TheDragon to Orochi, he leads the Hakkeshu in his master’s absence. Goenitz travels the world to try and find a way to revive Orochi, and carry’s out his master’s plan to wipe out humanity.

* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Rugal was driven by his megalomania and believed himself a god, while Goenitz was driven by his devotion to an actual deity. Rugal was a CardCarryingVillain and Goenitz a KnightTemplar. -> The BigBad and FinalBoss of pretty much every ''VideoGame/FatalFury'' game. Geese, along with [[DisappearedDad Jeff Bogard]], trained under [[OldMaster Tung Fu Rue]] in the art of Hakkyokuseiken. After learning that Jeff would inherit the style's secret arts, Geese left the school embittered, and swore revenge. He eventually became the most known mastermind in the criminal underground. He took control of Southtown after winning it over from Mr. Big and making him his underling. Afterwards, Geese finally got his revenge by killing Jeff Bogard in a vicious battle, and causing his sons to train under Tung for revenge. Over the course of several years he worked his way from police commissioner to mayor of Southtown. He decided to host the first King of Fighters tournament out of boredom, and faced Terry Bogard in the final battle after Terry defeated his right hand man Billy Kane. Geese lost and was given a swift boot out of the top floor of his tower, but somehow survived the fall.
