* AssholeVictim: In the film he is a SmugSnake who is nosing around in Ramius' cabin, and is suspicious of a book Ramius keeps until he's told that it belonged to Ramius' late wife (at which point Putin does become apologetic). The other officers are shocked when Ramius revealed he murdered him, but they're not very upset over it.
