Moving Dummied Out examples to the Trivia page.

* DummiedOut: His pre-"2800" appearances were removed when the "Cardassian Struggle" storyline was redone, [[RealLifeWritesThePlot likely due to STO now being a Screen Actors' Guild project]] (his voice actor is one of Cryptic's programmers). His role was taken up by a new character, [=DS9=] operations officer Commander Sarish Minna.

* DummiedOut: He used to be a relatively important character but by 2014 every mission he was involved in has been removed. Nowadays he pretty much just stands around Earth Spacedock ([[WordOfGod he's the station CO according to Kestral]]) and doesn't even have any lines.

The PlayerCharacter introduced with Season 15, ''Age of Discovery''. A Captain from the year 2257 in the ''Discovery'' 'timeline', they find themselves hurled into the future by J'Ula's mycelial rift weapon.
----
* DejaVu: If you've played the 'standard' Federation intro, you'll quickly realize that the opening phases of the Discovery introductory sequence are essentially identical, right down to your captain getting captured by Klingons and him ordering to fire on his transponder's location.
* ThatManIsDead: Similar to the 23rd Century Federation Captain, the Discovery Captain gets hurled through time. In this case it's thanks to some kind of Klingon superweapon.
