A famed chef and owner of a renown five star restaurant, Lob-Star had the honor of serving the elite of the underwater metropolis of Star City. However, he was also a master in ancient and secret martial arts style known to only an elite few, and by adopting a SecretIdentity, he was able to help keep the peace. One day, a Leviathan threatened to consume his restaurant and take the Fish King hostage, who happened to be dining there. Having no choice, Lob-Star dove into battle, using every trick he'd ever been taught, he drove the Leviathan from the city and saved the day. For his sacrifice in protecting the innocent, Master Eon made him a Skylander.

A cowboy rattlesnake. One day he was trapped by the Black Hat Gang. They threatened to raid the local village unless Rattle Shake lead them to Mt. Cloudbreak. Rather than agree, he defeated all the gang members single-handedly. Master Eon heard about this tale of heroism and invited the cowboy to join the Skylanders.

This prehistoric creature was awakened when two volcanic islands crashed into each other. Kaos immediately tried recruiting him, but when Slobber Tooth declined, Kaos retaliated with a full-scale assault that threatened Slobber Tooth's still-sleeping brethern. Slobber Tooth was able to drive Kaos off and protect his kin and earned an invitation into the Skylanders as a result.
