* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: In which Kakeru actually ''has'' blue hair.

* BeautyMark: Below his left eye.

The narrator and focus of the novel. A 32 year old man who jumps at the chance to improve his meager life by lying about his age at an idol audition, changing his name in the process. He's known as "God" in the group, and his Hollywood Color is silver.

* ImageSong: JINGI GREEN (1st season) and "Do Re Mi Fa MUSIC" (2nd season)

* TheJester: As outlined on the main page, Ryu deliberately pushes buttons and makes crude comments in order to get the Shounen Hollywood boys to really say what's on their minds instead of holding it in.

* {{Adorkable}}: Contrast to his idol image, he's a total dweeb and sweetheart. He geeks out over Cat constantly and gets upset when he isn't paying attention to him.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Very slight, but his last name is spelled "Amagi" in the Funimation subs.

The childlike member of the first Shounen Hollywood. Hollywood Color is Purple.


* CloudCuckoolander: The weird one of the group through and through. He would always laugh when he got the chance, make fun of his colleagues and has the smallest filter of the bunch. This doesn't change with age, surprisingly.

* TheSmartGuy: He's at least the most socially aware of the group, especially with his experience as a child actor. In addition to being prepared for certain situations, he knows how to act in public and play up other's images so he can grab his fans.

* TheGlassesGottaGo: In his day to day life, he wear glasses. He takes them off for his idol performances.

* CloudCuckoolander: The weird one of the group through and through. He would always laugh when he got the chance, make fun of his colleagues and has the smallest filter of the bunch. This doesn't change with age, surprisingly. Hollywood Color is Purple.

* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: He left his old delinquent group once he realized that all the activities they dp (stealing shopping carts and hanging around school) were stupid. He still keeps in touch with them despite breaking off.

* TheFakeCutie: Marketed as the cute one of Shounen Hollywood, and certainly plays up a TokenMiniMoe image for his fans. In reality the boy is fussy, blunt, and somewhat immature.

A coolheaded and charismatic character, Kou is the only one of the group to keep pursuing singing as a career and made a name for himself as a solo artist.

The old leader of Shounen Hollywood. An exceptional dancer, but left the music scene following Shounen Hollywood's breakup. Hollywood Color is red.

The first Tommy of Shounen Hollywood, and served as their GoodLuckCharm. In the years since the group's breakup, he's become a famous actor on the well known Japanese PoliceProcedural ''Migratory Bird Cop''. Hollywood Color is yellow.

The most masculine of the original group, Daichi was not one to get used to idolhood. He's quit that business and becomes a carpenter, regularly fixing up Hollywood Tokyo when they need the help. Hollywood Color is green.

* ImageSong: "Kojita no Kutsu" (1st season).

* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Kakeru has low self-esteem at the start of the series and has several episodes that showcase how his insecurities prevent him from truly going all out. Episode 7 of season 1 is all about Kakeru overcoming his embarrassment of his own singing voice when the rest of the boys take him out in public and agree to all sing everything they say until Kakeru is comfortable with singing.
