Never mind that Hanbe was aiming for Masamune and Kojuro [[TakingTheBullet took the hit]], never mind that Kojuro was apparently only lightly harmed by said hit (he continues to follow Masamune for the remainder of the story), but just the fact that his faithful retainer was harmed at ''all'' set Masamune on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge which only ended when the entirety of the Toyotomi army had been crushed.

* BrownEyes: In the games. In the anime he has blue-gray eyes. Interestingly, recent games show his eyes glow blue when he uses lightning powers.

* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Except in his manga and anime incarnations: in the former he has blond/white hair, in the latter his eyes are blue-gray.

As well as having Alastor as his weapons in the earlier games and the above-mentioned ActorAllusion, he even gets a Dante costume (complete with white hair and Alastor) as DLC in the fourth game.
