* UnreliableNarrator: Like Ray, Tito tends to exaggerate the flashbacks of him and Ray to get his point across.

* NeverMyFault: On many occasions, such as in the episode "Earnest Otto" when he blamed Twister for his broken board.

* SoreLoser: Otto has a ''really'' hard time accepting defeat.

** In the episode "Big Air Dare", he and Reggie race each other in a big jump that was for adults only. While Reggie squelches herself from taking the jump, Otto pays for his mistake and breaks his leg.
** In the episode "Back Bowl", Otto and Twister sneak into a back bowl that is said to be off limits and get lost. They nearly freeze to death until Raymundo and Tito rescue them.

* PapaWolf: He's a pretty easygoing guy, but put his kids at risk like The Rhino did and all bets are off.

* AngerBornOfWorry: His attitude towards his kids after either of them would get into trouble that would almost cost them their lives, which is usually followed by him [[YouAreGrounded punishing them]].

* SpoiledSweet: It's subtle, but his family is apparently well off being one of the few characters with a backyard pool. "Rocket Repairs" has his parent buy him a nice new skateboard none of the other characters could afford and it's shown he carries a large wad of cash with him. Despite all this, he's even nicer than anyone in the gang who come from middle-class, though Sam comes close.

* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: Far too often. Taken up to eleven in the episode "Womp Race 2000".

* CompetitionFreak: Only rivaling Otto for this.
* EvilCounterpart: Lars often acts like an older, less likable version of Otto with few of Otto's redeeming features and his flaws (particularly the SoreLoser and CompetitionFreak parts) notched UpToEleven.

* MomentOfWeakness: In the episode "Rainy Days & Sundaes", Reggie, Otto, and Twister make a huge mess of the Rockets' kitchen when they turn it into a slip and slide with sundae ingredients. When Raymundo comes home, Reggie (not wanting to miss the Junior Triathlon) bails out the window, leaving Otto and Twister to suffer the punishment by themselves. Reggie is left feeling guilty for getting out of getting punished, while Otto and Twister are, for the mess they all made. Even though Otto and Twister agree to keep her role in making the mess a secret until after the Junior Triathlon, Reggie spends the episode feeling guilty until during the Junior Triathlon she decide to leave the sport event and go to her father and confess to him. It turns out he knew all along that she made the mess with Otto and Twister, and was waiting for her to tell him. While he was proud of Reggie for telling the truth, he still punishes all three by having them work at his restaurant during a rush hour.

Otto's older sister by two years. While no less competitive and skilled as an athlete, Reggie is also of calmer disposition and great maturity. She is also an aspiring publisher and most noted for her "Zine".

Tropes associated with Reggie

Otto's best friend who is Latino-American. An aspiring videographer, Twister is known for his lack of intelligence and is often teased by his big brother Lars. Despite his low intellect, however, he can get pretty clever at times.

The fourth member of the main crew. While not as athletically gifted as the other three, he has found a niche as the brains and conscience of the group and is also a "rock-solid" goalie when they play hockey.

Otto and Reggie's single father, Ray is a widower and a surfer of some renown. He owns a restaurant named The Shore Shack, where he works alongside his friend Tito, as well as an equipment rental and repair shop called Rocket Boards.

Ray's best friend, a Hawaiian surfer and self-styled philosopher who helps Ray run his business.

Twister's older brother who routinely picks on Twister and the rest of the kids.
