* IOweYouMyLife: Majima is very grateful of Phoenix as he got Majima innocent on a previous case, implied to be his incarceration in ''Yakuza 4.''

* VillainiousFriendship: She gets along well with the Akatanas, given that they're Katanas based on her speech pattern, as well as Cieasux and Ranmaru, though the latter doesn't want to be friends with her.

* TheWormThatWalks: All Aragami are just an aglomeration of Oracle Cells surrounding a core. Removing the core causes them to disperse, effectively killing the monster.

* MarathonLevel: Even by this series standards, she takes awhile for the party members to finally ''injure'' her: the party must defeat [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 Metal Face]], [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfValkyrie Kamuz]], [[VideoGame/MegaManX Sigma]], [[VideoGame/SakuraWars Ranmaru]] and [[VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}} Pyron]] while defending the pillars against their minions, followed by the Ouma bosses. When Saya finally falls, players can kill off Byaku Shin. While this happens, Byaku Shin will keep on summoning monsters to gun for any of the three pillars that players need to defend and while that's happening, Byaku Shin will keep on firing potshots at your characters when they're in range of her attacks. Anybody caught in her LimitBreak is as [[OneHitKill good as dead.]]

* SphereOfDestruction: She ends her MAP attack by hurling a giant sphere of energy at her targets. Anyone caught up in it is as good as dead.

* SuperMode: Haseo uses his Skeith Form in their MAP attack. He also uses it to fight a Vajra Aragami in the opening, alongside a Devil Triggered Dante.

** CastingGag: He starts using [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars Kyosuke]]'s catch phrase in front of [[{{Expy}} Reiji and Xiaomu]].

* OffModel: Slight example: the sprites in their LimitBreak shows them preparing to fire a charged shot, with Vergil holding Ebony GangstaStyle. The actual animated cut-in has Dante do it instead with Ivory.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Both of them are demon nobles of the highest rank, and can kick serious ass.

* SanitySlippage: Not that he was already sane to begin with after losing the final fight between Shulk and his allies, by the second to last and final appearances in the game, [[OmnicidialManiac he vows to destroy everything]] and wishes to see Bionis and Mechonis merged and destroyed, foiling Myneth’s desire to have the worlds at peace and denying Zanza the chance of the death and rebirth of his world.

** Thorughout the game, thier friendship goes well, aside from T-elos demanding a couple Mechon minions that deserted Egil's cause until she wants the magic circle's power in Chapter 37, causing a fallout since Metal Face/Mumkhar wants that power as well.

* BareYourMidriff: Coupled with {{Underboobs}} due to her open top.

* MsFanservice: Like her partner Saya, Sheath delivers a lot of eye candy through her dressing similar to a playboy bunny, the size of her bosom, and her long legs.

* NighInvulnerable: When piloting 9-9. She takes damage when attacked, but her force field recovers any health lost as soon as the player's attack ends. The party must first destroy the source of her shield before attacking her directly.

* PunnyName: Her name's basically the English translation of Saya's name, and fittingly they're close friends.

* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: He wears red military uniform with black stripes. The contrast beween the two colors serve to convey a sense of power and authority, as well as his lust for power, which is fitting for one of the game's most sadistic villains.

* VillainTeamUp: A PlayedForLaughes example happens RIGHT before the fighting in Chapter 30 starts, where he allies himself with Metal Face/Mumkhar as Plastic Face to defeat Shinra and take him to Ryugu Castle.
