** In general, Hector's contracts have an unusually high chance of Escape missions occurring, suggesting that the police are either on very high alert or they know in advance that the Payday gang are going to be in the area. Moreover, Hector doesn't provide the option to hire an Expert Driver on any of his contracts (that's an asset meant to prevent Escape missions from happening entirely); if he wasn't trying to get the gang caught, he'd give them what aid he could out of self interest.
** In the first day of Watchdogs, the meat truck containing the cocaine and the crew is surrounded right away by the police in what amounts to a perfect kill zone, in spite of the gang having airtight cover (the police would only level so much force at a single meat truck if they're absolutely certain dangerous criminals are inside). The gang is usually able to avoid police attention until they begin their heists.
** On Day 1 of the Rats job, the police find the isolated meth lab very quickly (it's specifically chosen by Bain because it's both extremely out of the way and hard to find) but only move in when the PAYDAY gang arrives.
** In Firestarter day 1, the FBI moves in as soon as you move to secure the weapons; they clearly know that the airport is being used for weapons trafficking, and again they only assault the area once the Payday Gang is confirmed to be there. Day 3 of the same heist has Hector telling you to record yourselves burning the blood money so that the Mendozas can see with their own eyes. It is possible the same tape was used by the FBI to build up evidence against the PAYDAY crew, so even if they manage to do it stealthily, the FBI has evidence they broke into this particular vault... and if the crew ignored his request, most of that money in the vault is marked, so the FBI can track them even if they steal it.

* TheMole: He was the one who sold Hoxton to the FBI. During the event of Hoxton Revenge, you can find various pictures of jobs that the crew took on and a list of nearly every contact that the gang worked for. Stealing the evidence back to sabotage the case against the PAYDAY gang is a further objective during the heist.
* SmugSnake: While he treats the Payday gang amicably during their undercover stint, he is very abrasive when talking with their FBI handler, who is technically on their side. He drops all pretenses of kindness and civility when he realizes Bain and Hoxton are on to him.
* TheStoolPigeon: He was caught by the FBI, presumably sometime between the first game and second game, and was offered a lighter punishment if he spilled the beans about the PAYDAY crew. When the FBI gets raided by Hoxton and his crew to find out who the rat is, the authorities move Hector to a safe house guarded by the FBI since they need him alive in order for them to keep tabs on the gang.
* TemptingFate: This gem of a voice recording between his handler and Hector concerning setting up the Watchdogs job as a trap for the Payday gang..

* XanatosGambit: Despite being caught by the FBI, Hector attempts to manipulate the situation to benefit him no matter how it pans out. Hector wants a reduced sentence, which means trying to rat out the PAYDAY crew, and he also wants to get rid of the Mendozas, who he has a personal vendetta against and has the crew kill them for him; if he can get the crew captured by the FBI, then he won't spend much time in jail. If the crew can eliminate the Mendozas, then his vendetta against his rivals is fulfilled. What Hector didn't count on was the PAYDAY gang surviving all of his contracts, then breaking out Hoxton and then raiding the FBI HQ for intel on the informant, which they eventually use to track Hector down.

* TheBadGuyWins: In the bad ending, while the PAYDAY gang got their pardons and retired for good, the Kataru were successful in killing Bain, and they are still at large alongside both the Dentist and Murkywater.

* EarlyBirdCameo: Locke mentions a mysterious and unknown organization out to destroy the PAYDAY gang during the briefing of Heat Street.
* EnemyCivilWar: There are hints that the present-day Kataru aren't quite as cohesive as they used to be, and some power struggles have been happening ever since the start of the 19th century during an event involving the Burning of the White House, getting worse since then; it is implied that part of why you're even able to recover some artifacts and strike back is because rogue agents and counter-purpose intrigues within their organization left the Payday gang enough of an opening. It is implied that Duke was one.

The 46th President, who happens to be sworn in after the impeachment/resign of the 45th president, he seems strangely familiar...

* DummiedOut: He has dogtags placed inside his model, revealing that the otherwise fearless mercenary is indeed Kento.
