* DistaffCounterpart: The basic premise of the film, an all-women team of robbers led by an Ocean family member rather than men as was previously the case. Not all roles of the Eleven are filled however, as the Eight's heist differs from those of the Eleven in its nature.
* ImprobablyFemaleCast: This is likely the first live action film ''ever'' centered around a highly skilled gang of career criminals and hackers pulling off a massive heist that are ''all'' female. Not to mention that Debbie is much more touchy-feely with Lou than she is with anybody else, calls her 'babe', jokes about proposing to her and often engages in a lot of lingering, subtext-heavy looks with her. Much of their interactions imply that they're majorly into each other.

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: An Ocean and a CaperCrew leader, like Danny, but she's a woman, and primarily targets highly priced jewelry instead of Las Vegas casinos. Danny's and Rusty's bromance becomes AmbiguouslyBi between her and Lou, and she has StickyFingers unlike Danny.
* JustGotOutOfJail: The film opens with Debbie being released on parole after a 5 plus year prison sentence for fraud.

* PhantomThief: She also has shades of the ClassyCatBurglar being an ultra slick, stylish, attractive and competent professional thief, but her crimes are much larger, more complex and more elaborate than your average cat burglar. She plans the central heist to the letter to ensure that there's absolutely no way that she or the rest of her team can possibly be incriminated.
* RedOniBlueOni: With Lou. She's the red oni being the more impulsive and fearless of the two, though her calm manner might suggest otherwise.
* RefugeInAudacity: How does she ensure that she can't possibly be the prime suspect for the theft of the Toussaint necklace? Not by hiding in the shadows but making sure that she gets noticed at the gala as much as possible and is in plain sight of the security camera the whole time that the theft is taking place to give herself the perfect alibi.

* StickyFingers: She prefers shoplifting goods than paying for them. Then again, she gets out of prison with only about $40 in her pocket.

Debbie's long term best friend and [[NumberTwo partner in crime]]. Lou runs a trendy New York nightclub and has the kind of underground contacts needed to pull off the heist.

* BadassBiker: She's a leather and velvet clad, super slick, super confident criminal who owns a nightclub and rides a motorcycle.

* CoolestClubEver: Lou owns an ultra trendy New York nightclub which is huge, vintage in style and projects French new wave art films onto the walls.
* TheFixer: She has shades of this for the team, along with Tammy. She seems to have a great deal of shady contacts in the criminal world, as she finds and (with Debbie) recruits both Nine Ball as the team's hacker and Constance as their pickpocket. Her massive New York loft space home also serves as the gang's HomeBase when planning the heist.

* TheLancer: To Debbie, as her foil personality wise and her partner in crime.
* NumberTwo: She's Debbie's long term best friend and partner in crime. The two used to run jobs together before Debbie was sent to prison, and even though Lou has apparently since 'gone straight' (while watering down vodka at her club to make profit), she still maintains all manners of valuable contacts for shady figures in the criminal underworld that she and Debbie use to pull off their heist.
* RedOniBlueOni: Between her and Debbie she's the blue oni as the one pulling back and trying to get Debbie to see reason.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: She is the tomboy to Debbie's more traditionally girly girl. However, she is a pretty feminine tomboy in that she does wear makeup and lots of jewelery.

* DramaQueen: When Rose is fitting her for her Met Gala gown, she has a hilariously over the top panic attack, exclaiming dramatically about how 'huge' she is until Rose manages to calm her down, by lavishing her with praise and compliments of course.

* GreenEyedMonster: The crew convince her to ask Rose to dress her for the gala by planting stories in the news that Rose will be dressing an upcoming, much younger starlet.
