* AmbiguousDisorder: Several aspects of her character such as her distorted sense of self and worldview, pattern of unstable relationships, and very visceral emotional reactions point to her having Borderline Personality Disorder. Nothing concrete is said in-game however.

* ArtisticLicenseGeology: She uses a very strained metaphor to compare [[spoiler:Zuke and herself to the ocean and the tectonic plates]]; it doesn't figure very well. Of course, the fact that she finds it sensible may be a testament to [[AmbiguousDisorder her mindset]] as much as anything else.

* SurprisinglyGoodEnglish: He primarily speaks Malay, with little bits of English thrown in for flavor. However, once he starts rapping, he drops the Malay almost entirely and seamlessly raps in English. This may be a holdover from the original plan for the game, where DK West spoke more English than Malay, but it might be in part DevelopersForesight, as you can't read the subtitles when you're wildly dodging the rapid hazards flying your way.

* BadassBaritone: Has a deep, smooth baritone voice with a refined accent. In a livestream, his VA even describes it as "gentle, soothing, majestic and hypnotic ripples," and in character too, no less.

** The first time is after BBJ's victory against DJ Subatomic Supernova, which, to May's anger, was seemingly all for nothing, thanks to the launch of a new NSR satellite that the pompous DJ was apparently supervising behind the scenes. ** The second time is after the band's victory against Neon J. and 1010, where she does it out of frustration over not being able to find any more news concerning NSR. * ShootTheTelevision: Mayday punches the TV in Bunk Bed Junction's hideout ''twice'' to vent her anger at NSR. In the first demo, when she played her piano solo to show-up Mayday and Zuke, she had a markedly smug expression on her face. In the final game, she wears a scowl instead, which indicates less a sense of superiority and more general anger towards two disrespectful people who refuse to take her concert seriously.

* TheAtoner: [[spoiler: She's horrified upon realizing the end result of her already destructive revolution would have [[FullCircleRevolutionsimply been replacing NSR's EDM elitism with Rock elitism.]] The last part of the game is spend trying to rectify her impulsive actions by restoring power to NSR's Megastars and then working together with them to prevent Kliff's hi-jacked satellite from destroying NSR Tower and wreaking massive collateral damage. When Tatiana finally offers Bunkbed Junction a chance to be a new NSR Megastar, Mayday declines believing that her actions prove that she's too immature and not ready for that sort of responsibility to the point where it even seems like she's about to give up on playing music period. The whole situation leaves her on the verge of tears and when Tatiana urges her to keep playing rock and carry on Kul Fyra's legacy, even handing her Kul Fyra's guitar, Mayday is reduced to a sobbing mess.]]

* GatlingGood: Her prop transformations turns props into gatling turrets that rapidly chips away at boss health.

** Mayday ends up the voice of reason to Zuke's anger at his brother, being quick [[spoiler:to call Zuke out on disowning West after the second battle. Then when it becomes clear to her in the final battle the brothers won't ever reach an understanding left on their own, she steps in to force them to finally talk to each other and succeeds.]] Which supports why Zuke considers Mayday the leader of the band.

** She tells Zuke to be nice to the judges before they go out on Light's Up Audition. When the judges negatively judge their performance, Mayday is the one to blow up at them, to the point of climbing up to Tatiana's face to insult her.

* PointyEars: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. While Mayday has some pretty pointy ears, they're not exactly a sign of supernatural origin on her part.

She even enthusiastically throws up "Rock horns" when Tatiana announces "Long live Rock!". She's last seen playing piano with her mother with a content expression.]]

* LimpAndLivid: When she decides to fight, she's hunched over quite a bit with her arms limply hanging down so that the clock hands she's holding are almost touching the floor as she paces around. She's also hit her breaking point having given up entirely on trying to reason with or talk down Bunkbed Junction and choosing instead to simply take them down herself.

* DarkIsNotEvil: Bright colors aside, their choice in clothing uses a lot of black and their methods are actually as destructive as NSR claims they are. They still do what the do for the sake of the people and ensuring creative freedom in Vinyl City.

* AmbiguouslyHuman: She looks like a towering wraith who showcases shapeshifting abilities during later parts of the fight. [[spoiler:Even when she's calmed down and is back to human size, she still doesn't look quite human]]. If nothing else, she very much seems to be part plant, resembling an Ent.

* ParentsAsPeople: [[spoiler:The ending of the fight has her calmly and lovingly joining her daughter in playing a duet on what remains of her piano, suggesting that she does indeed love her daughter but was just too consumed by her rage]].
