RE:The Beastmaster: This isn\'t a character specific skill; the entire party can do it as well as a lot of NP Cs. RE:Musical Assassin: Doesn\'t fit this trope. It\'s quite clearly Music Magic. Musical Assasins actively use their music to kill or harm, but the majority of Esther\'s spells are support-oriented, and her damage from attacking foes with her harp is the lowest among the party. RE:Vitriolic Best Buds: Odd Couple (which ISN\'T always romantic, despite the name) is more applicable to them than this. They may snipe at one another but it\'s never on the level that VBB suggests.

This doesn\'t count as Gameplay and Story Segregation, as the story has Marcassin flat out say that Oliver has surpassed the Sages in terms of power in order to justify how ridiculously powerful he is in a fight. By the time Marcassin joins the party, Oliver is armed with the legendary wand of the Wizard King, several unique legendary spells, summoning agreements with several powerful legendary beings (at least 10,000 years old), and was the main force behind the defeat of the Dark Djinn who had basically single handedly thrashed the sages and basically ruled the world through terror.
