!Major Characters
[[folder:Porky Pig]]
-> "''Th-th-th-ThatsAllFolks!''"

TheEveryman and StraightMan to the rest of the cast, known for his [[PorkyPigPronunciation ridiculously thick stutter]]. Often played a DeadpanSnarker or ButtMonkey, usually when paired with Daffy (either role [[DependingOnTheWriter depending on the latter's interpretation]])

'''Debut:''' WesternAnimation/IHaventGotAHat (1935), Creator/FrizFreleng

'''Tropes related to Porky Pig:'''
* See WesternAnimation/PorkyPig.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Daffy Duck]]
-> "''You're despicable!''"/"''WOO HOO, HOO HOO!!!''"

Was originally [[ScrewySquirrel The Screwball]][=/=]{{Cloudcuckoolander}}, later {{Flanderiz|ation}}ed by Creator/ChuckJones (and Creator/FrizFreleng) into a {{jerkass}} SmallNameBigEgo, most famously paired with Bugs as the OddCouple. In this incarnation, used either as a foil for Bugs or to parody action-adventure heroes. Meanwhile, Creator/RobertMcKimson [[CompositeCharacter combined the two interpretations]] and made Daffy into a LoveableRogue. Later also joined Sylvester on the hunt for Speedy Gonzales.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/PorkysDuckHunt" (1937), Creator/TexAvery

'''Tropes related to Daffy Duck:'''
* See WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Elmer Fudd]]
-> "''Be vewwy, vewwy quiet! I'm hunting wabbits!''"

One of only three humans in the regular cast (the others being Yosemite Sam & Tweety's owner Granny). The ButtMonkey, often TooDumbToLive. An avid hunter, thus Jones' favorite adversary for both Bugs & Daffy, reaching a peak in the iconic Rabbit Season trilogy. Less popular with the other directors, who found him too wimpy. On a side note, he had an earlier, [[FlatCharacter less distinctive prototype]] named Egghead, who was sometimes referred to as Elmer.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/ElmersCandidCamera" (1940), Jones.

'''Tropes related to Elmer Fudd:'''
* See WesternAnimation/ElmerFudd.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Bugs Bunny]]
-> "''Eehhh... What's up, Doc?''"

The - well... ''the'' Bugs Bunny. No description needed.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/AWildHare" (1940), various, notably Creator/TexAvery.

'''Tropes related to Bugs Bunny:'''
* See WesternAnimation/BugsBunny and KarmicTrickster.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Tweety Bird]]
[[quoteright:160:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download23_3440.jpg]]
-> "''I tawt I taw a puddy tat!''"

In Clampett's hands, Tweety was a pink, sadistic trickster who used his wits to get rid of cats. Later, under Freleng, Tweety became yellow ([[UsefulNotes/TheHaysCode the Hays Office]] balked because the pink made him look naked), found a recurring adversary in Sylvester, and often depended on an umbrella-wielding Granny or an angry bulldog to get rid of him. Time has made modern generations mistake him for a female. See also WesternAnimation/SylvesterTheCatAndTweetyBird.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/ATaleOfTwoKitties" (1942), Clampett.

'''Tropes related to Tweety Bird:'''
* AmbiguousGender: He's officially male, but many viewers were confused by Tweety's gender. Lampshaded and PlayedForLaughs in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow''.
* ArchEnemy: Sylvester. Tweety and Sylvester are always after each other, much like ''WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry''.
* BabyTalk: He talks like this because he is supposed to be a baby bird.
* BadassAdorable: Known as the cutest and smallest ''Looney Tunes'' character and also one of the few who manages to defeat his opponent in all of his appearances. In his early shorts he was also very strong.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: ''Film/SpaceJam'' even demonstrated that he can still slip into this time and time again.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Cute little tweety bird on the outside, sadistic KarmicTrickster on the inside (though as time progressed, [[CharacterizationMarchesOn his innocence seemed to become more genuine.]])
* CatchPhrase:
** "Dat bad old puttytat!"
** "I tawt I taw a puttytat!"
** "I did, I did! I did saw a puttytat!"
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In the Clampett shorts he was a very aggressive character who tries anything to foil his foe, even kicking his enemy when he is down. Although Freleng retained that same flavor in his first few shorts with the character, he gradually turned him into a cutesy bird who often depended on Granny to be saved from Sylvester.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: He's a guy, but the high-pitched voice and eyelashes often leads to ViewerGenderConfusion, especially in foreign dubs where he is often voiced by a woman (while in English his voice was provided by a man, Mel Blanc). The existence of a short called ''[[PunBasedTitle Ain't She Tweet]]'' probably doesn't help any.
* TheFakeCutie: "Aw, da poor puddy tat. He faw down an' go Boom!" This, after carefully arranging poor Sylvester's defeat.
* HeroAntagonist: In his shorts with Sylvester he's a defensive character and the focus is on Sylvester who tries to eat him.
* HiddenDepths: Despite Tweety becoming softer, fans still speculate that he's still a sadistic being on the inside who takes pleasure in seeing Sylvester get hurt.
* InnocentBlueEyes: In his early (pink) appearance his eyes were not blue and he wasn't innocent at all. He later becomes a (seemingly) innocent and naive bird with blue eyes.
* InvincibleHero: Though he had a slightly more vulnerable streak than most other WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes protagonists, he was one of very few to come out the victor in ''every'' appearance he made.
* {{Jerkass}}: In Clampett's cartoons and some of Freleng's, pre-BadassDecay.
* KillerRabbit: In his first cartoons, where he was as cute as violent and sadistic, bordering on CuteIsEvil.
* MyNameIsNotShazam: His first pairing with Sylvester is called ''[[PunBasedTitle Tweety Pie]]'', leading some viewers to (mistakenly) assume that's the character's full name. Possibly confusing the issue is his ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' counterpart, whose name really ''is'' "Sweetie Pie".
* PingPongNaivete: One of Tweety's charms was that you could never tell whether he defeated Sylvester via ObfuscatingStupidity or inadvertantly through genuine child-like naïveté and dumb luck.
* PintSizedPowerHouse: In his earlier cartoons.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Because of his “cute” appeal that makes him popular with girls and young women, he's perhaps the most heavily merchandised LT character.
* TookALevelInKindness: He's far less sadistic in later shorts, though DependingOnTheWriter he somewhat keeps his malicious streak.

[[folder: Pepe Le Pew]]
A FunnyForeigner and HandsomeLech said to be the most foul smelling skunk in the world - or to his own kind, the best smelling - completely oblivious to his body odor problem... and thus to why all the beautiful 'young ladies' keep running from him in disgust.

His official pairing is now known as Penelope Pussycat, and she often has the misfortune of having a white stripe painted down her back, making Pepe go quite wild for her. It also seems that when he douses his foul scent and covers his white stripe [[ItMakesSenseInContext (or accidentally paints himself blue)]], she can go quite wild over him, making him quite the ChickMagnet.

[[folder: Sylvester J. Cat]]
[[quoteright:185:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download234_4262.jpg]]
-> "''Sufferin' succotash!''"

A cat with a speech impediment who usually tries to eat Tweety or Speedy Gonzales, with little success. One of the most versatile of the ensemble, prone to neuroses and usually the star of the comic melodramas. Though Freleng's take on Sylvester is the one everybody remembers, other directors also made great use of the character. In Robert [=McKimson's=] hands, for example, slobby Sylvester has a hyper-articulate son named Sylvester Jr., whom Dad tries to impress by chasing what turns out to be a baby kangaroo into another room; when he retreats gibbering at the 'giant mouse!' Junior is mortified. Sylvester also starred in ''Kitty Kornered'', one of Bob Clampett's last cartoons for Warners, and in three Chuck Jones-directed cartoons, all opposite Porky Pig. See also WesternAnimation/SylvesterTheCatAndTweetyBird.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/LifeWithFeathers" (1945), Freleng.

'''Tropes related to Sylvester J. Cat:'''
* AnthropomorphicShift: One-time example in "WesternAnimation/TheScarletPumperNickel"; Sylvester as the Grand Duke is a full-blown FunnyAnimal.
* AffablyEvil: A vicious predator, but a loving father to Sylvester Jr, and with often the same [[GoKartingWithBowser on-off friendly banter towards his prey]] as the rest of the RoguesGallery. He also occasionally goes through [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone the same pangs of conscience as Elmer]] when he thinks he has succeeded in killing them.
* AntiVillain: Beside his personal vendetta against his foes (especially Tweety), he's a nice fellow and is portrayed as a good guy in a few cartoons.
* ArchEnemy: Tweety. Tweety and Sylvester are always after each other, much like ''WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry''.
* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler: In "Twick or Tweety", where he ate Tweety Bird for the first time.]]
* BigShutUp: Sylvester was often fond of yelling "AHHHHH SHADDUP!"
* BumblingDad: He means well, but his general clumsiness and ineptitude is the cause of Sylvester Jr.'s embarrassment.
* ButtMonkey: Claimed fewer victories than even Elmer or post-Flanderized Daffy.
* CatchPhrase: "Sufferin' succotash."
* CatsAreMean: Though granted it rarely went outside a cat's natural instincts for food, and it doesn't stop [[DesignatedHero sadistic birds, mice and dogs]] [[DesignatedVillain abusing him beyond (or sometimes even without) provocation]] (eg. ''Canned Feud'', ''Scaredy Cat'').
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Several of his earlier cartoons saw him as a lot more mischievous and hyperactive, with one cartoon (''Doggone Cats'') even playing him as a ScrewySquirrel character similar to Bugs and Daffy in their earlier days.
* CoolCat: He occasionally plays with this, particularly in cartoons where Tweety isn't involved.
* ChasteToons: Double Subverted while Sylvester Jr. is his son as opposed to the industry standard {{Nephewism}}, we never see the mother.
* {{Determinator}}: Just like all the ''Looney Tunes'' losers, Sylvester shows much pride and he also never gives up.
* HarmlessVillain: When he's a villain against Tweety, Speedy, or Hippety Hopper, he's not much of a threat.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Much like Elmer, Wile E. Coyote, and pretty much all the villains in the series, he's usually depicted as a hopeless ButtMonkey as likely to fall by his own bumbling (or bad luck) as by the actions of the protaganists themselves.
* KarmicTrickster: Got the rare chance to play one against Elmer Fudd in ''WesternAnimation/BackAlleyOproar''
* LaserGuidedKarma: While hopeless at catching prey like Tweety and Speedy, there are odd cases where Sylvester is forced to protect his potential prey, at which point he is often quite competent (eg. ''A Mouse Divided'', ''Father of the Bird''). He is still usually robbed of a full victory at the end of it though. Such cases also often double as a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming.
* SpeciesSurname: Sylvester J. '''Cat.'''
* SpeechImpediment: "Thufferin' Thuccotatch!"
* SuddenlyVoiced:
** Inverted. He could usually speak (albeit with his famous speech impediment), but a few Chuck Jones-directed cartoons cast him as Porky's pet, and in these he was a HeroicMime.
** His speaking role seemed to depend on character; since he was classified as a pet, he usually did not communicate with owners or humans but could make conversations with fellow pet-classified animals like Tweety. For other animals with more human roles like Daffy and Porky it was free-game and DependingOnTheWriter (though mute in ''Scaredy Cat'' and its followups, Sylvester spoke normally to Porky in ''Kitty Cornered'' and ''The Scarlet Pumpernickel'', for example). Possibly the only human he's actually spoken with is Elmer in ''WesternAnimation/BackAlleyOproar''
* SuperPersistentPredator: One of the clip shows and a movie show Sylvester has chased Tweety through the entire world.
* TeamRocketWins:
** With some assistance from Speedy Gonzales, Sylvester chalks up a win in "A Message to Gracias."
** He successfully eats an AssholeVictim parrot in "Catch As Cats Can" and holds ground in Porky's house in "Kitty Cornered". He also gets the last laugh in "WesternAnimation/BackAlleyOproar" and "WesternAnimation/MouseMazurka" (even if he ''literally'' has to [[DiedHappilyEverAfter kill himself in the process]]).
* VillainousUnderdog: While Sylvester certainly isn't weaker than Tweety, he's no match for [[NeverMessWithGranny Granny]] or [[AngryGuardDog Hector]] and has to find ways to sneak past them in order to get at the bird. That's without getting into his fights with WesternAnimation/SpeedyGonzales or Hippity Hopper.
* VillainProtagonist: In his shorts with Tweety, Hippity Hopper and Speedy.
* WellDoneDadGuy: Most of the episodes that featured Sylvester Jr. were focused around Sylvester trying to earn his son's respect with very little success.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Despite being afraid of dogs, in at least one short he's also afraid to be sent to the violin factory.

[[folder: Yosemite Sam]]
-> "''OOOOOHHHH, AHHH HATES RABBITS!!!''"

A brash little outlaw with handlebar mustachios and a severe temper problem, introduced as 'a more WorthyOpponent' for Bugs than the meek Elmer. Said to be a caricature of his (short, brash, redheaded) creator. Introduced as a cowboy bandit, he eventually became the stock blowhard villain character: Civil War general, Viking, Pirate, The Black Knight (no Python references please), politician, an Arab sheik, etc. Oddly enough, he wears his bandit mask no matter what role he plays and normally lets out a burst of irate SymbolSwearing.

-> "''What in tha- I say, what in the Sam Hill is goin' on here?''"

A loud, obnoxious rooster with a Southern accent, based on Fred Allen's 'Senator Claghorn' radio character. Considers himself the life of the party; demonstrates by tricking baby chickenhawks out of capturing him, abusing Mandrake the barnyard dog by whomping his ass with a wooden board and painting his tongue green, or babysitting a genius chick named Eggbert in order to cozy up to his widow hen mother.

[[folder: Marvin the Martian]]
[[quoteright:180:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download346_5014.jpg]]
-> "''I claim this planet in the name of Mars! Isn't that lovely?''"

An IneffectualSympatheticVillain who wants to see an EarthShatteringKaboom, and is the TropeNamer thereof (albeit invariably foiled by Bugs).

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/HaredevilHare" (1948), Jones.

'''Tropes related to Marvin the Martian:'''
* AdaptationalBadass: The video game ''VideoGame/LooneyTunesCollectorMartianAlert'' and its sequel Martian's Revenge actually depicted Marvin as much more competent and fearsome character.
* AffablyEvil: Marvin was originally conceived as the opposite of Yosemite Sam, so he's always been a quiet, reserved, polite character who can still pose a threat.
* AliensAreBastards: He was willing to [[EarthShatteringKaboom kill billions of humans]] ''[[EvilIsPetty just because the Earth was blocking his view of Venus]].''
* AlliterativeName: '''M'''arvin the '''M'''artian.
* TheBadGuyWins: see "Team Rocket Wins" below
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Wants to blow up Earth because it's blocking his view of Venus. Ignoring the obvious joke about gender differences, destroying planets because they obstruct astronomic observation is presumably okay in Martian society.
* BreakoutCharacter: Like Taz, he only appears in five of the original shorts (four with Bugs and one with Daffy, exactly like Taz), and gets a prominent role in a [[WesternAnimation/DuckDodgers later spin-off]]. These days, he's still among the most popular characters in the series.
* CatchPhrase:
** "This makes me very angry!"
** "WheresTheKaboom There was supposed to be an EarthShatteringKaboom!"
* {{Determinator}}: Calling him impertubable would be very accurate seeing as he never deviates from his original goal. For him getting his weapon of mass-destruction stolen is just a delay.
* EvilBrit: He started out with a nasally American voice, but then was given a snooty, sort-of upper-class English accent. This trope is so naughty, he could just pinch it!
* EvilGenius: Somewhat. Like Wile E., Marvin is one of Bugs' (and Daffy's) more intellectual rivals. They are still quite idiotic for supposed geniuses.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Sometimes portrayed as this, especially when his goals are more malevolent. He maintains his polite demeanor even as he tries to blow up the Earth.
* {{Foil}}: He was deliberately created as a contrast to Yosemite Sam.
* ForTheEvulz: He said himself that he enjoys spending his spare time pursuing, blasting and destroying small little creatures.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Downplayed from both Elmer and Sam, but still, being a foil for Bugs, he inevitably fails miserably.
* InsectoidAliens: Very downplayed, but the basis of the Martian design is meant to look ant-like, [[WordOfGod according to Chuck Jones]].
* MikeNelsonDestroyerOfWorlds: See AliensAreBastards.
* NoNameGiven: He was unnamed in the original cartoons (the model sheets only giving him the moniker of "The Martian") but was officially named Marvin when he they started making merchandise of him.
* NoMouth: His head is basically a black ball with eyes. ''WesternAnimation/DuckDodgers'' reveals that while all the males of his species look like that, the females (such as the Queen) are somewhat more anthropomorphic, possessing noses, chins, eyebrows... but still no mouths.
* PunyEarthlings: Seems to have a subtle disdain towards Earthlings in general and will sometimes mock or condescend regarding our primitive nature.
* RoguesGalleryTransplant: While he's tangled with Bugs, he tends to frequently do battle with Daffy, usually within the shorts related to Duck Dodgers.
* TheSociopath: Utterly remorseless and shameless about what he does--to him, blowing up a planet is given the regard of taking out the garbage.
* SoftSpokenSadist: To contrast with Yosemite Sam's bluster and self-important, scene-stealing attitude, he is very casual about [[DissonantSerenity all the horrible things that he wants to do, treating them as insignificant and mundane]]. It says a lot about his character that these things include ''planetary destruction.''
* TheStoic: "This makes me VERY angry."
* TeamRocketWins: [[spoiler: Seemingly achieves his goal of detonating the Earth in the original full-version of ''Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24th and a Half Century''. With Dodgers distracted from his duties and Earth's destruction almost certain, Marvin is left with no choice but to assure the viewers "it's only a cartoon"]].
* TranquilFury: Which goes with his AffablyEvil and SoftSpokenSadist persona.
* ThatMakesMeFeelAngry: Subverted; he has a wide range of facial expressions for someone with NoMouth and no nose, despite repeatedly saying this trope word-for-word. Still somewhat used with his voice which he very rarely raises, even when he is delivering death threats.
* WorthyOpponent: After Yosemite Sam failed to effectively challenge Bugs. Though still a hapless villain, he was ''slightly'' more formidable in that he has genuinely scared Bugs on occasion with his sheer [[DissonantSerenity casual destructiveness.]]

[[folder: Wile E. Coyote]]
[[quoteright:177:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download21_2032.jpg]]
The coyote who uses a variety of backfiring Acme Company traps and mail-order gadgets to try to catch the Road Runner - 'try' being the operative word. He was named when he had some cartoons facing off against Bugs instead of Roadrunner, where he became "Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius". See also WesternAnimation/WileECoyoteAndTheRoadrunner.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/FastAndFurryOus" (1949), Jones.

'''Tropes related to Wile E. Coyote:'''
* ArchEnemy: Road Runner
* BadassAdorable: Inverted with Wile E., as he is [[IneffectualSympatheticVillain neither as threatening]], nor as cute, as real-life coyotes.
* BreakTheHaughty: In shorts where he faces off against Bugs Bunny. Each time he proudly announces at the beginning that he is a "Super-Genius." Always gets his comeuppance by the end, in one short declaring that "My name is Mud" and promptly keeling over unconscious.
* ButtMonkey: Biggest one of all the Looney Tunes characters, which is ''really'' saying something. In fact he never had a chance to be anything [[IncrediblyLamePun butt]].
* CatchPhrase: "Genius, pure genius!" in his shorts with Bugs.
* TheChewToy: The primary example in the western animation.
* CosmicPlaything: Several of his traps have failed in ways that clearly defy all physics and in some cases, if they actually worked in a logical way, he might've caught the Roadrunner by now. [[RuleOfFunny But what fun would that be for us?]] Naturally, this contributes to his status as a ButtMonkey.
* {{Determinator}}: Although the entire universe and even the laws of physics are working against him, he never gives up. '''Never.'''
* DitzyGenius: A genius capable of building roadrunner traps, but, if you think about it, wouldn't it be much easier if he just ordered food instead of ordering a bunch of supplies from ACME?
* EmbarrassingMiddleName: The "E" stands for ''Ethelbert''. No wonder we just call him "Wile E."
* EpicFail: Pretty much everything Coyote does ends in this. HilarityEnsues.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: When Bugs refuses his offer to get eaten, Wile E. wonders why he wants to do it the hard way.
* FailureIsTheOnlyOption: Never having gotten a ''single'' victory, and the closest he ever came was a YankTheDogsChain.
* FauxAffablyEvil: He first meets Bugs in a nice way, but tries to get him to say his prayers.
* GadgeteerGenius: if not for the fact that all of his constructions inevitably fail.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Of the VillainProtagonist variety.
* InsufferableGenius: He acts as one in the shorts where he goes after Bugs Bunny. In theory, at least. In practice he's more of a SmallNameBigEgo.
* IronButtMonkey: TropeCodifier and page image. He's been crushed, blown up, fallen hundreds of feet, been knocked all the way through earth and back, and that's just the tip of a long list of abuses. He not only survives, but is right back at the same thing again.
* LoserProtagonist: It's one of the rules of the shorts that the audience always wants the coyote to win. Not because he's a good person or because he deserves it, but just because of how thoroughly and utterly the universe refuses to ever let him win.
* OhCrap: Practicaly his default facial expression.
* PunnyName: Wile E. (i.e., "wily") Coyote.
* SmallNameBigEgo: He likes to call himself "Wile E. Coyote: Genius" in the cartoons where he's up against Bugs.
* SmugSnake: More often than not, his ego is the reason why his plans always fail. He even provides the trope image.
* SpeciesSurname: Wile E. '''Coyote'''
* SuddenlyVoiced: When teamed up with Bugs Bunny (except ''Hare Breadth Hurry'', which otherwise plays like a traditional Road Runner short).
* SuperPersistentPredator: In one short, he actually takes the time out to tell the audience [[LampshadedTrope why this is.]] Apparently, the Roadrunner is super-delicious, with the various parts of its body having flavors such as sponge cake, chop suey, and candied yam.
* TalkingWithSigns: Both him and the Road Runner have communicated with signs.
* TeamRocketWins: Yes, the Coyote catches the Road Runner at one point...but he's too small at that point to even eat the bird. He even lampshades it by asking the audience what he should do now.
* TheVoiceless: In all his cartoons with the Road Runner. He only speaks during four of his five appearances with Bugs Bunny.
* VillainousUnderdog: The cartoons are built around this concept, with the smart, but horribly unlucky coyote being thoroughly overmatched by the super fast, equally smart, and and ungodly fortunate Road Runner. Physics itself was always on the Road Runner's side, meaning Wile E's schemes were doomed from the start. A large part of this was, of course, because in the words of Chuck Jones "The audience's sympathy but always remain with the coyote."
* VillainProtagonist: Wile E. Coyote is trying to eat the Road Runner, and is therefore ostensibly the bad guy. But he's just so adorably persistent in how he goes about it that you can't help but root for him.

* InformedSpecies: He does not resemble the real roadrunner bird in the slightest.
* InvincibleHero: He always wins. Always.
* NoNameGiven: Only known as the Road Runner. In some foreign countries, viewers actually think that [[PokemonSpeak Beep Beep]] is ''his name.''
* PaintedTunnelRealTrain: He ''loves'' this trope.

* SillyAnimalSound: "Beep beep!" Real roadrunners don't sound like that.
* SuperSpeed: The Road Runner ''(accelerati incredibilus)'' is a famous super-speeder...
* TalkingWithSigns: On at least two occasions, he holds up a sign that reads "Roadrunners can't read", probably just to trick the Coyote.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/DevilMayHare" (1954), [=McKimson.=]

'''Tropes related to Tasmanian Devil:'''
* AstonishinglyAppropriateAppearance: His hair resembles devil horns. He spins like a whirlwind, which is also called a "dust devil".
* AxCrazy: He somewhat qualifies considering his maniacal and gluttonous demeanor which combined with his low intelligence make him come across as an impetrenable force of nature.
* BigEater: Taz can and will eat anything he comes across.
* BigOlUnibrow: A somewhat FunnyAnimal with a uni-brow.
* BreakoutCharacter: Despite only appearing in five of the original shorts, he became immensely popular due to later spin-offs and merchandising. He also proved to be quite popular in the classic era; producer Eddie Slezer did not like Taz initially after his debut cartoon, until fan mail began pouring in, requesting to see more of Taz.
* TheDreaded: Several of his cartoons begin by establishing that he's one of the most feared animals in the world, with all other animals running in dread from him.
* EverythingsBetterWithSpinning: His main means of getting around is his own personal tornado.
* ExtremeOmnivore: It's pretty extreme that Taz [[EatTheBomb can eat dynamite without it killing him]].
* FluffyTheTerrible; True the Devil surname doesn't downplay the threat that he poses (quite the opposite actually) but his nickname Taz surely doesn't do an omnivorous beast justice.
* {{Gasshole}}: Has stared turning into one during the late 90's/early to mid-2000's, where he was the one who brings out most of the burp jokes. As time went on, this lessened a bit in his recent appearances.
* HulkSpeak: When Mel Blanc asked "What does he sound like?" when he first voiced the character and was told, "Nobody has ever heard one." So he was compelled to [[ThrowItIn ad-lib some kind of glottal-guttural gravelly gargle]], now lovingly described as "Taz-speak."
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Against Bugs, anyway. He's shown as much more dangerous when he's faced with more minor characters, and though Daffy also beats him in their single short together, he has a much harder time accomplishing this.
* InformedSpecies: He and his She-Devil mate look absolutely nothing like real Tasmanian devils, which are black-furred for a starter. The differences only get bigger from there. [[NoIndoorVoice He does sound rather like one, though]].
* InsultBackfire: Considers being called "...a mean, vicious, nasty, no-good, baggy-eyed, marble-headed ignoramorous" quite flattering.
* MusicSoothesTheSavageBeast: His weakness.
* SeldomSeenSpecies: Can you name any other famous tazmanian devil in media?
* SillyAnimalSound: Averted; despite all the ArtisticLicense that was taken with him, his growls and hisses sound a lot like a real Tasmanian devil.
* SpinOff: During the 90s he was given his own show, ''WesternAnimation/TazMania'', which cast him with a sitcom-like family.
* TooDumbToLive: A trait that he alone has in his family.
* TookALevelInDumbass: While never bright, he's gotten a lot dumber over the years.
* TheUnintelligible: Most often his speech is simply comprised of snarls, yammering, and raspberries.
* VillainousGlutton: He will eat any species of animal and can devour large quantities of food (and other things) with ease. When he starts spinning, he always sends crowds running away.
* YouNoTakeCandle: In his first appearance, Taz could speak, albeit in somewhat-broken English.

The original star character of the Warner Bros. cartoon studio, created by [[Creator/HarmanAndIsing Hugh Harman and Rudolph Ising]] as the studio's answer to WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse. While Bosko had little to no personality, he was fairly popular during the early 30's. He later migrated with his creators to Creator/{{MGM}} in 1933, where he made a few more appearances (complete with a full on redesign into a black kid) in their ''WesternAnimation/HappyHarmonies'' cartoons before being abandoned altogether. He managed to make one last appearance in the ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' episode "Fields of Honey", although he was redesigned to have dog ears, obviously due to the stir it would cause seeing a cartoon caricature of a black person in today's society.

A [[CaptainErsatz shameless]] WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse clone made by former Disney employee [[Creator/HarmanAndIsing Rudolph Ising]] to be the headlining star of the [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes Merrie Melodies]] series. Appearance and personality was nearly indistinguishable from Mickey, although Foxy was noticeably more aggressive. Only lasted for three shorts, as Creator/WaltDisney quickly got wind of the ripoff and personally asked Rudy to stop using him. However, he made a brief return in the ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' episode "Two-Tone Town".

'''Debut:''' WesternAnimation/LadyPlayYourMandolin (1931), Ising

'''Tropes:'''
* ArtEvolution: His Tiny Toons appearance completely redesigned him to look less like a Mickey Mouse clone.
* CaptainErsatz: As mentioned already, he is one of the most blatant attempts at ripping off of MickeyMouse ever done. His image is even adorned on the CaptainErsatz page.
* TheEveryman: Foxy was a gallopin', beer guzzling gaucho in his first short, a trolley driver in the next (although that was AllJustADream) and a traffic cop in his final short.
* FlatCharacter: Like the character he ripped off in the first place, he's a fairly scrappy character but otherwise devoid of any distinctive personality traits.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: Neither he nor Roxy are named on-screen in their cartoons. They got their official names years later in their appearance in the ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' episode "Two-Tone Town". An interview with Rudy Ising also leads credence that his girlfriend was originally meant to be named Fluffy, making it a case of AdaptationalNameChange as well.
* {{Retraux}}: The ''Tiny Toons'' episode he and Roxy appear in serves as a throwback to cartoons from UsefulNotes/TheGoldenAgeOfAnimation, right down to everything being DeliberatelyMonchrome.

On another note, another character appeared a few years later that was also called Piggy in the Friz Freleng cartoon "Pigs is Pigs" and "At Your Service, Madame" although that character was a gluttonous little kid who had nothing in common with this earlier character.

His shorts are noteworthy, if only for being some of the blandest, dullest cartoons to come from that time period. [[ADayInTheLimelight He made a brief comeback]] in the ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' episode "Warners 65th Anniversary Special", in which he tried to inflict revenge on the Warner siblings, who in their universe, destroyed Buddy's career. * AdaptationalBadass: In the Warners Special. Keep in mind, when disguised he has the ''exact same voice'' as {{WesternAnimation/Pete}} and [[SonicTheHedgehog Dr. Robotnik]]. ''[[WesternAnimation/SonicSatAM The competent Robotnik]]''.
* AdaptationalVillainy: In the Warners Special, he becomes the BigBad.
* ButtMonkey: In the ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' universe, the Warner Bros. and Sister got their starring roles by starring cartoons consisting of whacking Buddy in the head with a mallet over and over again.
* CaptainErsatz: Of Bosko. Creator/BobClampett even jokingly nicknamed him "Bosko in Whiteface".
* FlatCharacter: Until his comeback, when he got a little more personality.
* StepfordSmiler: Prior to him revealing his evil plans in the Warners 65th Anniversary Special.
* SupportingProtagonist: Particularly noticeable in his first short, where he isn't even really the main character; his baby brother Elmer fills that role, with Buddy's role mostly being limited to saving the day at the end. Aside from that, in many of his shorts he tends to be a bystander who just serves to link musically-based scenes together.

[[folder:Beans the Cat]]
->''"Beans is the name, one of the Boston beans!"''

http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/imagesCA03IMY8_5543.jpg

One of several characters made by Creator/FrizFreleng in a desperate attempt to reinvigorate their studio, Beans the Cat was meant to be the big star of the studio--only for that position to go to Beans' sidekick, Porky Pig. Beans was initially somewhat popular, likely because he had a rebellious streak that Buddy was sorely lacking, but as that aspect of his personality faded, so did his popularity.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/IHaventGotAHat" (1935), Freleng

* CaptainErsatz: Of ''WesternAnimation/FelixTheCat''. He even has a girlfriend named Little Kitty (A parody of Felix's girlfriend name, Kitty).
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He only appeared in 11 shorts (2 of them being cameos) during 1935-1936 before being abandoned completely.
%%* CuteKitten
* FlatCharacter: He had at least ''something'' resembling a personality when directed by Freleng, or in his sole outing for Creator/TexAvery. Unfortunately, Jack King (who directed most of his shorts) tended to play him as a feline version of Buddy, ensuring that he got eclipsed by Porky.
* KarmicTrickster: In his first couple of shorts.
* PunnyName: He and Porky's names were a play on "Pork N' Beans".

[[folder:Ham and Ex]]

Two puppy twins that were part of Friz's attempt to make a batch of star characters for the studio. They appeared in five cartoons, and were promptly forgotten.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/IHaventGotAHat" (1935), Freleng

* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: They look identical to each other.
* ArtEvolution: Their cameo appearance in ''Back In Action'' slightly redesigns them to be chubbier and more in line with the other Looney Tunes characters, as opposed to the rubberhose style they were originally drawn as.
* TheCameo: Despite being absent from the franchise since the mid-1930s, they make a very brief cameo appearance, playing poker with many other of the Looney Tunes dog characters, in the casino scene of ''Looney Tunes: Back In Action''. They also make brief cameos in the ending of an episode of ''Wabbit'', "Splashwater Bugs".
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: They only appear in four shorts.

The fourth member of the batch of characters Friz Freleng made for "I Haven't Got a Hat".

* AlliterativeName: '''O'''liver '''O'''wl.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He disappears after a few shorts.
* FlatCharacter: You should know by now that the original shorts went through a LOT of dud characters before we got the stars of today.
* TheOwlKnowingOne: For all his lack of characterization, he's described as a very competent piano player in his debut, and he seems knowledgeable enough to hold the position of a film director in "Hollywood Capers".

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Disappears after a few shorts.

[[folder:Gabby Goat]]
->"Wish I'd stay home, I don't like him anyway."

http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gabby_goat_2122.bmp

Created as an attempt to serve as a comic foil for Porky Pig, Gabby Goat was a short tempered jerk that was essentially the Looney Tunes answer to WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck in terms of character. However, audiences found him too unlikable to be a hit, and in order for his chemistry with Porky to work, the latter character had to be derailed into a bumbling idiot, which was a no go, so Gabby was quickly phased out, with WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck serving as Porky's more appropriate foil later down the road. (Which is telling when "Porky's Badtime Story" was remade as "Tick Tock Tuckered" years later, with Gabby replaced by Daffy.)

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/PorkyAndGabby" (1937), Creator/UbIwerks

* AlliterativeName: '''G'''abby '''G'''oat.
* TheBusCameBack: Gabby was resurrected after 80 years for appearances in ''WesternAnimation/WabbitALooneyTunesProduction'', starting with "Gettin' Your Goat".
* GenderBlenderName: Nowadays, Gabby is usually considered a female name, short for Gabrielle.
%%* GlassCannon
* HairTriggerTemper: The Looney Tunes answer to WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck.
* {{Jerkass}}: An abrasive, short-tempered jerk who serves as a Foil to Porky.
* MotorMouth: There's a reason he's called Gabby, after all.
* ShooOutTheNewGuy: He only appeared in 3 shorts during the late 1930's, due to being perceived as too unlikable, as mentioned previously. Storyboards for "Porky's Party" reveal he was planned to have a fourth appearance, but he was replaced with a penguin in the final cartoon. It took ''80 years'' for him to make another appearance in the franchise.
* SpeciesSurname: He's a goat.
* StraightManAndWiseGuy: Was intended as the Wise Guy to Porky's StraightMan. Later cartoons would show that Porky works off wackier characters better than meaner ones.

[[folder:Happy Hare]]
->''"You don't have to be crazy to do this, but it sure helps!"''

http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2prebugs_9271.jpg

Originally created by Ben Hardaway as a CaptainErsatz for WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck, this rabbit character shares many of the same traits as Daffy, but also serves as a very early prototype for the later, more fleshed out Bugs Bunny. But wheras Bugs was more defensive, GenreSavvy and collected, this wild hare was loaded with motivation and energy and went out causing trouble on sheer principle, although ''Hare-Um Scare-Um'' showed us that he could be just as resourceful as the later Bugs. This prototype appeared in five shorts: "Porky's Hare Hunt", "Hare-Um Scare-Um", "Presto Change-o", "Patient Porky" (in the opening) and "WesternAnimation/ElmersCandidCamera".

When Hardaway left Warner Bros. for the Creator/WalterLantz cartoon studio, he would later take the traits of this character and use them to create Lantz's biggest star of the 40's, WesternAnimation/WoodyWoodpecker.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/PorkysHareHunt" (1938), Ben Hardaway

* AnnoyingLaugh: In fact, the same laugh that Creator/MelBlanc used when he went on to voice WesternAnimation/WoodyWoodpecker, but not sped up.
* ArtEvolution: He started off looking like a tiny white rabbit, but by 1939 he had sprouted apricot fur and started looking more like the Bugs we remember.
* CaptainErsatz: Woody Woodpecker is one of this prototype.
* TheCameo:
** Pops up for a gag early in "Patient Porky".
** He makes a blink and you'll miss it cameo in ''Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit''.
** He was going to appear in ''Film/LooneyTunesBackInAction'' in the original ending until that ending was scrapped (but can be seen as an extra on the DVD).
** In the Wabbit episode "One Carroter in Search of an Artist", he makes a cameo appearance when the animator redraws Bugs to look like him.
%%* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}
* HammerSpace: One distinguishing trait this character had was that he could pull objects out of thin air like magic in "Presto Change-O" and "Hare-Um Scare-Um", something that would be integrated into the fully realized Bugs Bunny.
* {{Jerkass}}: ''Especially'' in "Elmer's Candid Camera", where the Proto-Bugs heckled poor Elmer just because he was taking pictures of wild life. He was probably the reason why Elmer took up hunting in the first place.
* MadHatter: In "Hare Um Scare Um", he is unabashably crazy, and proud of it.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He was very small in his first three appearances, but very strong and fast. "Elmer's Candid Camera" brought him up to about as tall as Elmer, however.
* ScrewySquirrel: One of the earliest examples.
* SuperStrength: A mild example, but in Porky's Hare Hunt, he ''snapped Porky's rifle like a twig''.

!Secondary Characters

[[folder:Petunia Pig]]
Porky's love interest.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/PorkysRomance" (1937), Tashlin

* AlliterativeName: '''P'''etunia '''P'''ig.
* AscendedExtra: Although a very minor character in the animated canon, Petunia was all over the place in the Looney Tunes ExpandedUniverse material from the 30's right through the 80's, from [[Creator/GoldKeyComics comics]] to storybooks to merchandise. Then, when Warner Animation began its renaissance in the late 80's, they forgot all about her, and poor Petunia fell back into obscurity.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: She vanished after a couple of years. She's gained some popularity again thanks to ''WesternAnimation/BabyLooneyTunes''.
* DistaffCounterpart: To Porky.
* GirlishPigtails: In her later appearences (the character did not originally have hair).
* {{Jerkass}}: In "Porky's Romance", very much so.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: To Porky.
* SpeciesSurname: Petunia '''Pig'''.

->''"Ah-ha! Thought you [[NeverMessWithGranny could fool old Granny, eh?]] Well, I was wise to ya from the beginning!"''

A [[KillerRabbit seemingly harmless]] elderly woman; owner of Tweety and occasionally Sylvester (or whatever other animal the cartoon calls for).

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/LittleRedWalkingHood" (1937), Avery

'''Tropes:'''
* BreakoutCharacter: Is arguably more the lead protaganist of ''WesternAnimation/SylvesterAndTweetyMysteries'' than the title pair.
* CoolOldLady: Granny is cool in nearly all of her appearances and incarnations. In ''WesternAnimation/SylvesterAndTweetyMysteries'' she works as a detective and in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'' she's a former spy.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Granny is seemlingly harmless, but is much smarter and stronger than she looks.
* GrannyClassic: A kind old lady who is protective of Tweety.
* MamaBear: Do '''not''' mess with her pets.
* NeverMessWithGranny: She isn't the TropeNamer but she might as well be. Attempt to hurt Tweety and you'll be in for an umbrella of hurt.
* PingPongNaivete: Depending on the short, Granny can be extremely wily and perceptive in foiling Sylvester, or completely oblivious that her beloved cat is anything but best friends with Tweety.
* Really700YearsOld: By the mid-1950s, she was making veiled references to being young during the Revolutionary War!
* TeamMom: In ''WesternAnimation/BabyLooneyTunes''.

[[folder:Sniffles the Mouse]]
[[quoteright:325:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snifflesmouse_9160.jpg]]

This early creation of Creator/ChuckJones is a ridiculously cute, naive little mouse that often obliviously wandered into danger's way. As the shorts transitioned into zanier humor, attempts were made to evolve Sniffles accordingly, Flanderizing him into a KarmicTrickster with a MotorMouth, though the character was ultimately phased out (though still had a healthy run in the comics.) His motor mouth version made a brief speaking appearance in ''Film/SpaceJam''.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/NaughtyButMice" (1939), Jones.

'''Tropes:'''
* KarmicTrickster: In his later shorts Creator/ChuckJones transformed the cute naive little mouse into this.
* MotorMouth: Again, in his later shorts. He goes from a RidiculouslyCuteCritter to an annoying chatterbox who would just '''never stop talking'''.
* NiceHat: A blue sailor cap.
* NiceMice: Sniffles is well-meaning, if annoying.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Jones created the character during the early period in his career when he was still heavily influenced by Disney's ''Silly Symphonies'' shorts.
* SmallAnnoyingCreature: In his later shorts.

[[folder:Cecil Turtle]]
[[quoteright:350:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Cecil_Turtle_3143.jpg]]

Slow paced ([[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass but quick-witted]]) turtle that rivals Bugs Bunny. One of the few characters to consistently defeat Bugs, in shorts that were based on the fable ''The Tortoise and The Hare''.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/TortoiseBeatsHare" (1941), Avery

'''Tropes:'''
* AffectionateParody: The three shorts are probably these of the WesternAnimation/SillySymphonies version of "Disney/TheTortoiseAndTheHare".
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: One of the few adversaries to beat Bugs, let alone do so ''handily''.
* TheCatCameBack: Subverted in ''Tortoise Beats Hare''. It wasn't the original tortoise that kept inexplicably escaping Bugs' methods of leaving him behind. It was a series of identical tortoises which the first one bribed to screw with him.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Much more cunning than he looks.
* EvilVsEvil: Both he and Bugs are willing to play crooked in order to beat each other.
* GenreSavvy: He's one of the few ''Looney Tunes'' characters to see through a PaperThinDisguise (and know that no one else will on top of it).
* ManipulativeBastard: He's played Bugs like a chump ''every single time''. His most notable accomplishment is tricking Bugs into effectively dressing as a tortoise himself, which draws the ire of rabbit mobsters.
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: In "Rabbit Transit", he actually has a tougher time with Bugs, even getting visibly frustrated when he manages to heckle him back. Bugs actually defeats him in a race this time round, though Cecil happily settles for a more pragmatic victory.
* RemovableShell: Happens regularly to Cecil Turtle's shell in his cartoons.
* TheRival: To Bugs.
* SpeciesSurname: Cecil '''Turtle'''
* TurtlePower: One of the few characters who consistently thwarted Bugs Bunny.

[[folder:Henery Hawk]]

See also the WesternAnimation/FoghornLeghorn page.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/TheSquawkinHawk" (1942), Jones

* AlliterativeName: '''H'''enery '''H'''awk
* BrattyHalfPint: He's a belligerent, loudmouthed little pipsqueak who picks fights with other characters many times bigger than him.
* OutOfFocus: "WesternAnimation/WalkyTalkyHawky" was created as a second starring turn for Henery Hawk, but Foghorn Leghorn stole the show, reducing Henery to his adversary. Along with The Barnyard Dawg he eventually disappears from the series.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He can effortlessely take down ol' Foggy, even though he's only a measly few inches high!
* SpeciesSurname: Henery '''Hawk'''
* VillainProtagonist: When the series was initially his own.

[[folder:Beaky Buzzard]]
An absentminded buzzard who lives with his momma in the distant desert. Appeared in three shorts. Came back as a background regular in ''Film/SpaceJam'', and made a cameo in ''Film/LooneyTunesBackInAction''.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/BugsBunnyGetsTheBoid" (1942), Clampett.

* AlliterativeName: '''B'''eaky '''B'''uzzard
* HarmlessVillain: Within an already pretty incompetent RoguesGallery, Beaky stands out as being exceptionally moronic and even shy towards his prey.
* MommasBoy: He lives with his mom.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He's significantly more competent in "WesternAnimation/TheLionsBusy". He also inexplicably wins his fight with the dragon at the end of "WesternAnimation/TheBashfulBuzzard".
%%* TheRuntAtTheEnd
* SimpletonVoice: Specifically, a voice like Edgar Bergen's "Mortimer Snerd"; in-house he was alternately known as "The Snerd Bird".
%%* ShrinkingViolet

* SuperStrength: Like his brothers, he's strong enough to carry something as large as a '''dragon''' back to his nest.
* TooDumbToLive: That said, he ''can'' catch a baby bumblebee.

[[folder:Hubie and Bertie]]

* CatchPhrase:
** Hubie: "Hey, Boit! C'mere!"
** Bertie: "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure.", "Hehehehe... Riot!"
* DrivenToSuicide: In "Cheese Chasers", they overindulge in a cheese factory and get sick of the stuff, so they figure they have nothing left to live for and [[SuicideByCop throw themselves to Claude Cat]]. Claude thinks there's something off about mice wanting to get eaten and becomes frightened of them, so he figures there's nothing left for ''him'' to live for, and goes to the dog to get himself killed. %%* ComicTrio
* DysfunctionalFamily: On the documentary, ''Chuck Jones: Extremes and In-Betweens'', Creator/MattGroening stated that, while his show ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' is credited for showing the all-American dysfunctional family, The Three Bears (and ''Series/AllInTheFamily'') did a better job of showing it.
%%* HairTriggerTemper: Papa Bear.
* HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood: Junior is repeatedly punched, insulted, or bludgeoned by Papa Bear for his stupidity while his mother does nothing to stop the abuse.
%%* {{Jerkass}}: Papa Bear.

%%* TheNapoleon: Papa Bear.

'''Tropes:'''
%%* BloodBrothers: With the Carrot Monster.
* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: That one time when he gets shaved into oblivion, leaving only his sneakers.

[[folder:Rocky and Mugsy]]
A pair of thugs who appear in a few of the Looney Tunes shorts. It should also be noted that Rocky also appeared in a number of shorts without Mugsy, but other thugs instead.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/RacketeerRabbit" (1946) (Rocky), "WesternAnimation/BugsAndThugs" (1953) (Mugsy), Freleng.

'''Tropes:'''
* BadBoss: Rocky isn't very nice to Mugsy and he often uppercuts him for saying or doing something dumb. However, this is [[JustifiedTrope justified]] in the short "Bugsy and Mugsy", where Rocky is fooled by Bugs Bunny into thinking Mugsy is trying to kill him.
* BankRobbery: As seen in "Bugs and Thugs".
%%* BigGuyLittleGuy: They provide the page image.
* DumbMuscle: Mugsy is much bigger than Rocky, but also much dumber.
** Also, Rocky was noticeably taller in his first appearance.
* EyeObscuringHat: An absurdly tall hat which obscures his eyes.
%%* {{Jerkass}}: Rocky
* LaughablyEvil: Both of them, though Rocky was initially created as a WorthyOpponent to Bugs just like Yosemite Sam (another Bugs villain created by Freleng).
%%* NiceHat: Rocky.

* StupidCrooks: Mugsy lives up to it to the extreme, but naturally Rocky isn't too far behind either.
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: A duo of gangsters.

[[folder:Charlie Dog]]
Hyperactive and incredibly clingy mutt that is constantly searching for a home and master. With mannerisms not distant from those of a slick-talking salesman, Charlie goes to extremes to be accepted by his potential master (usually Porky Pig) who are often equally determined to get him off their backs.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/LittleOrphanAirdale" (1947), Jones [[note]]Though if you count the character he was created to be an {{expy}} of, his actual debut is "WesternAnimation/PorkysPooch" (1941), Clampett.[[/note]]

'''Tropes:'''
* TheCameo: Made an appearance in "Dog Tales". However, this appearance was mostly recycled from "Often an Orphan".
* {{Determinator}}: He won't take "no" for an answer, EVER.
%%* DoggedNiceGuy: [[IncrediblyLamePun A non-romantic example]].
* GenreSavvy: At the beginning of ''Often an Orphan'', his previous owner tricks him by luring him away during a game of fetch and then drives off, abandoning him on the side of a road. At the very end when Porky apparently caves in and adopts Charlie, Porky attempts the same trick, but Charlie easily sees through it and abandons ''Porky'' on the side of a road instead.
* LoveableRogue: Though like Daffy, he can act less than loveable in his schemes at times.
* RuleOfThree: Each of his shorts with Porky has a [[RunningGag scene]] where the Pig attempts to mail him off to a different part of the world, but it never works.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Claims to have all sorts of skills and abilities as the perfect dog. In reality, he's a worthless mutt.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/TheGoofyGophers" (1947), Clampett.

'''Tropes'''
* AmbiguouslyGay: Their interactions with each other certainly give this vibe, partly due to ValuesDissonance. Gets played up for laughs in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'' and ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunesRabbitsRun''. Back in the day, they were a reference to an old comedy routine poking fun at the then-current stereotype of European gentlemen being intensely polite towards each other.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: As seen in "Gopher Broke (1948)", where they casually conduct a {{gaslighting}} campaign that leaves D'Brer Dog well beyond a mental breakdown, all so they can easily steal back the vegetables he was guarding.
* DisproportionateRetribution: The whole point of "Gopher Broke (1948)"; how dare you be a farmer's dog sleeping in the barn where the vegetables we want to steal are being kept! We'll drive you insane so we can steal them anyway!
* MoralMyopia: In "Gopher Broke (1948)", they treat themselves as the wronged party even as they gaslight D'Brer Dog, despite the fact that the vegetables that were "stolen" from them actually belong to the farmer, meaning Mac and Tosh were stealing them in the first place before they got harvested!

* PunnyName: Of "canine".
* StrangeSalute: His is a variation of a standard military salute...only using his ears instead of his paws.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Inverted. He was able to talk in his debut, but later went silent, only speaking in barks.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/DontGiveUpTheSheep" (1953), Jones.

'''Tropes:'''
* BlindingBangs: Sam's got them. In one cartoon Ralph assumes that they impair his vision and tries to take advantage of this. [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption It doesn't work]].
** "Woolen Under Where" plays with this -- on their way to work, Sam keeps bumping into trees, so Ralph punches him in for him. When Sam got to the cliffside he usually sits at, he nearly falls off.
%%* TheChewToy: ''Ralph''.
* CatchPhrase: "Mornin' Sam." "Mornin' Ralph."
%%* DogsAreDumb: Averted.
* {{Expy}}: Originally, Ralph had significant differences from Wile E (Earlier shorts show different feet, more tail, etc) but since they had a similar faces, later animators became lazy and started drawing them the same way.
%%* FriendlyEnemies
* OffscreenTeleportation: [[ExaggeratedTrope Taken to ridiculous levels]] at the climax of "Ready, Woolen and Able", which culminates in [[spoiler:Ralph at a beach full of Sam clones. Ralph promptly goes insane]].
%%* PunchclockHero and PunchclockVillain: Literally.

[[folder:Witch Hazel]]
[[quoteright:256:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/witch_hazel.jpg]]

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/BewitchedBunny" (1954), Jones.

* AxCrazy: Frequently; given that she often chases after Bugs with a meat cleaver.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: When she's alone with no one around to interact she usually speaks to the audience.
* GagNose: She has a rather enourmous nose.
* {{Gonk}}: She's drawn like the typically "old and ugly witch" stereotype.
* HotterAndSexier: In the respective endings of "Bewitched Bunny" and "Broomstick Bunny", when her ugliness is turned into beauty.
* HotWitch: A hot witch ''rabbit'' in the end of "Bewitched Bunny". It's played more straight, however, at the end of "Broomstick Bunny". (Her transformed appearance in the latter short took inspiration from June Foray's own looks.)
* TheHyena: She's prone to busting out in cackling laughter at the slightest whim.
* LargeHam: [[EvilLaugh "EEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!"]]
* PunchClockVillain: Has a pretty normal life (for a witch, anyways) when she's not trying to cook Bugs or Daffy.
* PungeonMaster: She tends often to make some comically puns. Sometimes even unintentionally.
* SassyBlackWoman: Witch Lezah, her counterpart in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow''.
* VainSorceress: Parodied. She acts like one, but she aims specifically to be the ugliest she can be.
* WickedWitch: Parody of the trope.

[[folder:Marc Antony and Pussyfoot]]
A large dog and a little [[CuteKitten kitten]]. [[PapaWolf The former is very protective of the latter]].

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/FeedTheKitty" (1955), Jones.

'''Tropes:'''
* AngryGuardDog: Marc Antony tries to represent this in their first meeting. It fails miserably.
* BadlyBatteredBabysitter: Poor Marc Antony.
* BigFriendlyDog: It's no good denying it, Marc Antony.
* CatsAreMean:
** Averted. Pussyfoot ''does'' get Marc Antony in trouble but [[ChildrenAreInnocent s/he doesn't seem to do it on purpose]].
** In several of their shorts, Claude Cat serves as an antagonist, usually trying to harass or abuse Pussyfoot and pin the blame on Marc Anthony.
* CuteKitten: Pussyfoot.
* FemaleFelineMaleMutt: Assuming Pussyfoot is female since there's a lot of ViewerGenderConfusion (sometimes it's referred to as "he", in other episodes it's "she") similar to the Tweety example. Many people like to think she's a female cat.
* GentleGiant: Marc Antony.
* PapaWolf: Marc Antony.
%%* HugeGuyTinyGirl
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Pussyfoot is downright adorable.

[[folder: Michigan J. Frog]]
[[quoteright:160:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download78_3260.jpg]]

A frog from TheGayNineties is discovered by a man in modern times. Unfortunately, the frog acts as his NotSoImaginaryFriend. Listed here as an honorable mention, as he only ever appeared in one cartoon, which he didn't share with any other iconic characters, and was never really iconic himself until he became the mascot for Creator/TheWB network in TheNineties.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/OneFroggyEvening" (1955), Jones.

'''Tropes related to Michigan J. Frog:'''
* BreakoutCharacter: Only appeared in one short during the franchise's original series of animated shorts, and yet it became one of the most popular and well-received of them all. Creator/StevenSpielberg himself refers to it as "the ''Film/CitizenKane'' of animated film."
* {{Immortality}}: Strongly implied that this frog can [[TheAgeless never age]] or die. (See ReallySevenHundredYearsOld below.)
* {{Jerkass}}: He's been one for his entire existence, screwing around with people by singing and dancing, and then making them look crazy by acting like a normal frog when they try to get other people to see it. Later on, his jerkass tendencies got even stronger in ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'', where he taunts (in song) a turtle trying to get away from [[AndCallHimGeorge Elmyra]], and as mascot for Creator/TheWB, where, in early promos, he'd straight up [[YouSuck insult the viewers]] while praising the network's programming as [[{{Escapism}} an escape]] from [[YouSuck their crappy lives]]. [[ComedicSociopathy And he's hilarious]].
* NiceHat: His top hat, which is [[AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal all he wears]].
* NotSoImaginaryFriend: More a trait than the character itself; everyone sees the frog, only one person sees its singing talent.
* OneShotCharacter: Well, at least until ''Another Froggy Evening'', decades later.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Has survived in a box for several years since the age of cavemen.
* SealedGoodInACan: Although it wasn't clear until the end of "Another Froggy Evening".
* SpeciesSurname: Its written with an "o" and one "g".
* YouDidntAsk: Seems to be implied in ''Another Froggy Evening'' when met by Marvin the Martian, who can speak "Frog"/"Martian" and thus can just ask him to sing for him.

[[folder:Blacque Jacque Shellacque]]
A French-accented lumberjack type who's had repeated run-ins with Bugs Bunny.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/BonanzaBunny" (1959), [=McKimson=].

'''Tropes:'''
* BadassMustache: Big black one.
* {{Expy}}: Basically WesternAnimation/YosemiteSam with a different accent. ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'' puts them forth as cousins.
* FrenchJerk: Probably French-Canadian, but you get the idea.
%%* MightyLumberjack
* TheNapoleon: Shares this in common with Sam.
* SublimeRhyme: His name.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cool Cat]]
'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/CoolCat" (1967), Alex Lovy.

* AlliterativeName: '''C'''ool '''C'''at.
* {{Beatnik}}: Wears a beret (except in his last two cartoons) and speaks '60s-style beatnik slang.
* BreakoutCharacter: He and Colonel Rimfire are the only characters from the Warner Bros.-Seven Arts era who've continued to be used in any great frequency after that era ended. On top of that, he was popular enough when he first appeared that the studio finally agreed to let the cartoon studio produce shorts outside of the Daffy--Speedy series.
* CoolCat: Pretty obvious, considering the character he is clearly an Expy of. And no, he's not the TropeNamer.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Some of his cartoons (including his debut) characterise him as a Bugs Bunny-type KarmicTrickster who remains in control of the situation throughout, while others depict him as a ButtMonkey who spends most of the cartoon getting abused by Colonel Rimfire and/or some other guest character(s).
* {{Expy}}: Of WesternAnimation/ThePinkPanther, blatantly.
* NiceHat: His beret.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: In his debut cartoon at least, where he seems to spend most of the cartoon unaware that he's being stalked by Colonel Rimfire and that Ella is actually a mechanical elephant, but at the end is indicated to have known these things all along.

'''Debut:''' ''WesternAnimation/BunnyAndClaudeWeRobCarrotPatches'' (1968), [=McKimson=].

Two characters introduced near the end of the original ''Looney Tunes'' era, Bunny and Claude are a rabbit OutlawCouple who are [[{{Expy}} Expies]] of ''Film/BonnieAndClyde'', whose 1967 film was a then-recent smash. In their two shorts, these cotton-tailed criminals steal carrots while outwitting an incompetent Sheriff.

'''Tropes Related to Bunny and Claude:'''
* AbnormalAmmo: Their guns fire carrots, not bullets.
* BarefootCartoonAnimal: Bunny.
* CigarChomper: Bunny often has a cigar in her mouth.
* DamnItFeelsGoodToBeAGangster: A mild example.
* FullyDressedCartoonAnimal: Claude.
* TheGreatDepression: When their adventures are set.
* HarmlessVillain: PlayedWith; they never physically hurt anyone, but they always escape the Sheriff.
* JustLikeRobinHood: One reason they steal carrots is to share them with their families.
* LighterAndSofter: Compared to either the real Bonnie and Clyde or their depiction in the film.
* NiceHat: They both wear one.
* OutlawCouple: A kid-friendly example.
* PokeThePoodle: They steal carrots and annoy the Sheriff. That's the extent of their "evil".
* RascallyRabbit: They're much closer to this than HairRaisingHare.
* SharpDressedMan: Claude, whose white suit stays immaculate throughout both cartoons.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Along with Penelope, Bunny was the only female ''Looney Tunes'' protagonist until Lola Bunny was created.
* TrainJob: They pull one in their second and final short, "The Great Carrot Train Robbery".
* VillainProtagonist: Although they barely qualify as villains.

[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1c510e9a5da6fda063088803f950d3c9.png]]

'''Debut:''' ''Film/SpaceJam'' (1996)

Bugs' current girlfriend, and a character in almost every ''Looney Tunes'' project since her introduction.

'''Tropes Related to Lola Bunny:'''
* ActionGirl: In ''Space Jam'', she's a strong, athletic lady who can kick the butt of any toon. ''[[BerserkButton And don't ever call her...doll.]]''
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: Her original character in ''Film/SpaceJam'' was a TomboyWithAGirlyStreak and an exaggerated sex symbol who Bugs had to work to get. But in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'' she's an energetic {{Cloudcuckoolander}} who's excruciatingly infatuated by him.
* BarefootCartoonAnimal: Like Bugs, she doesn't wear shoes. Unlike Bugs, an AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal, she's fully clothed otherwise.
* BareYourMidriff: Exaggerated at first in ''Space Jam'' along with her IconicOutfit, as shown in the image, but was then zigzagged along with [[UnlimitedWardrobe other outfits]] in her later appearances.
%%* BerserkButton: [[CaptainObvious See quote]].
* BurgerFool: In Creator/DCComics' ''ComicBook/LooneyTunes'' title, she works for Machu Pizza, where she specializes in delivering food to some very unusual customers: AliensAndMonsters, FishPeople, gods and other mythological figures, etc.
* CanonForeigner: Created for ''Film/SpaceJam'', she eventually became a CanonImmigrant with analogues in ''WesternAnimation/BabyLooneyTunes'', ''WesternAnimation/LoonaticsUnleashed'', ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'', and the OAV ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunesRabbitsRun''.
* CousinOliver: Although not an actual kid, she's a "new kid" compared to the older characters of classic cartoons and can sometimes feel shoehorned into the Looney Tunes lineage the same way a Cousin Oliver often is.
* DistaffCounterpart: To Bugs. Subverted in ''The Looney Tunes Show'' where despite being Bugs' girlfriend, she is similar to Daffy without the {{Jerkass}} traits.
* EarsAsHair: She ties her ears into a ponytail, as seen in the trope page pic.
* EveryoneLovesBlondes: Bugs' crush on her in ''Film/SpaceJam''.
* FlatCharacter: In ''Film/SpaceJam'', for some. However, Creator/WarnerBros completely [[CloudCuckooLander altered her]] for her return in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow.''
* FurryFemaleMane: She has a tuft of blonde hair on the top of her head.
* HelloNurse: Lola's first appearance in ''Space Jam'' has all the toons (and UsefulNotes/MichaelJordan) pause momentarily, but Bugs... never quite recovers from seeing her the first time.
* HumanoidFemaleAnimal: Looks more anthropomorphic than Bugs Bunny.
* MsFanservice: The first incarnation. A sexy and athletics {{Tomboy}} with an ImpossibleHourglassFigure who wears shorts and bares her midriff.
* OfficialCouple: With WesternAnimation/BugsBunny.
* PassionateSportsGirl: A basketball player so talented that even Michael Jordan notes that "the girl's got some skills".
* PettingZooPerson: Though she is more of a Borderline PettingZooPerson in ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow''.
* ReplacementLoveInterest: Has completely supplanted poor Honey Bunny, who had been Bugs's love interest in [[Creator/GoldKeyComics comics]] and [[ExpandedUniverse other media]] for decades.
* RememberTheNewGuy: The way Warner's been marketing her since her debut in ''Film/SpaceJam'' can look like this.
%%* RighteousRabbit
* SatelliteLoveInterest: To Bugs in ''Film/SpaceJam'', where she doesn't do too much other than play basketball and make Bugs act twitterpated. ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'' tries to give her a DenserAndWackier personality, but she's still more or less just "Bugs' girlfriend". {{Averted}} in ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunesRabbitsRun'', in which she's the main character.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Almost certainly added to the regular Looney Tunes line-up because of this. Before her, the only real major female Looney Tunes character was Penelope.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: She's a sassy, no-nonsense woman who is good at basketball and hates being called "doll". However, in attitude and mannerisms, she acts like the typical seductive FemmeFatale and her sex appeal is ''anything'' but masculine.
* TomboyishPonytail: She wears a purple rubber band on [[EarsAsHair both ears]] like a ponytail.
* TookALevelInDumbass: In ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'' she becomes a ditzy, eccentric GenkiGirl.
* WhoWearsShortShorts: Lola Bunny wears a pair of short gym shorts as part of her original IconicOutfit.

[[folder: Tweety Bird]]
[[quoteright:160:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download23_3440.jpg]]
-> "''I tawt I taw a puddy tat!''"

* CatchPhrase:
Although Freleng retained that same flavor in his first few shorts with the character, he gradually turned him into a cutesy bird who often depended on Granny to be saved
Characters from Sylvester.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: He's a guy, but
the high-pitched voice and eyelashes often leads to ViewerGenderConfusion, especially in foreign dubs where he is often voiced by a woman (while in English his voice was provided by a man, Mel Blanc).
* {{Jerkass}}: In Clampett's cartoons and some of Freleng's, pre-BadassDecay.

His official pairing is now known as Penelope Pussycat, and she often
''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' franchise. Each page has the misfortune of having a white stripe painted down her back, making Pepe go quite wild for her. It also seems that when he douses his foul scent and covers his white stripe [[ItMakesSenseInContext (or accidentally paints himself blue)]], she can go quite wild over him, making him quite the ChickMagnet.

[[folder: Sylvester J. Cat]]
[[quoteright:185:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download234_4262.jpg]]
-> "''Sufferin' succotash!''"

* CatchPhrase: "Sufferin' succotash."
* SpeciesSurname: Sylvester J. '''Cat.'''
* SpeechImpediment: "Thufferin' Thuccotatch!"
* SuddenlyVoiced:
* TeamRocketWins:

-> "''OOOOOHHHH, AHHH HATES RABBITS!!!''"

* AlliterativeName: '''M'''arvin the '''M'''artian.
These days, he's still among the most popular
characters in the series.
* CatchPhrase:
* MikeNelsonDestroyerOfWorlds: See AliensAreBastards.

Coyote:'''
* ArchEnemy: Road Runner
* PunnyName: Wile E. (i.e., "wily") Coyote.
* SmallNameBigEgo: He likes to call himself "Wile E. Coyote: Genius" in the cartoons where he's up against Bugs.
* SmugSnake: More often than not, his ego is the reason why his plans always fail. He even provides the trope image.
* SpeciesSurname: Wile E. '''Coyote'''

* InvincibleHero: He always wins. Always.
* NoNameGiven: Only known as the Road Runner. In some foreign countries, viewers actually think that [[PokemonSpeak Beep Beep]] is ''his name.''

* SuperSpeed: The Road Runner ''(accelerati incredibilus)'' is a famous super-speeder...

* BigOlUnibrow: A somewhat FunnyAnimal with a uni-brow.
* MusicSoothesTheSavageBeast: His weakness.

A CaptainErsatz of ''Bosko The Talk-Ink Kid'' that was hastily created after Creator/HarmanAndIsing split with Leon's studio and took the rights to Bosko with them. ([[TakeThat they were brought in to spice up his boring cartoons, via hitting him in the head with a mallet over and over again]]) Voiced by Creator/JimCummings in the latter special.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/BuddysDayOut" (1933), Tom Palmer

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He disappears after a few shorts.
* FlatCharacter: You should know by now that the original shorts went through a LOT of dud characters before we got the stars of today.

[[folder:Gabby Goat]]
->"Wish I'd stay home, I don't like him anyway."

http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gabby_goat_2122.bmp

Created as an attempt to serve as a comic foil for Porky Pig, Gabby Goat was a short tempered jerk that was essentially the Looney Tunes answer to WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck in terms of character. However, audiences found him too unlikable to be a hit, and
listed in order for his chemistry with Porky to work, the latter character had to be derailed into a bumbling idiot, which was a no go, so Gabby was quickly phased out, with WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck serving as Porky's more appropriate foil later down the road. (Which is telling when "Porky's Badtime Story" was remade as "Tick Tock Tuckered" years later, with Gabby replaced by Daffy.)

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/PorkyAndGabby" (1937), Creator/UbIwerks

* AlliterativeName: '''G'''abby '''G'''oat.
* SpeciesSurname: He's a goat.

Originally created by Ben Hardaway as a CaptainErsatz for WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck, this rabbit character shares many
of the same traits as Daffy, but also serves as a very early prototype for the later, more fleshed out Bugs Bunny.

'''Debut:''' "WesternAnimation/PorkysHareHunt" (1938), Ben Hardaway

introduction.
----
* AnnoyingLaugh: In fact, the same laugh that Creator/MelBlanc used when he went on to voice WesternAnimation/WoodyWoodpecker, but not sped up.
[[Characters/LooneyTunesMajorCharacters Major Characters]]
* ArtEvolution: He started off looking like a tiny white rabbit, but by 1939 he had sprouted apricot fur and started looking more like the Bugs we remember.
* CaptainErsatz: Woody Woodpecker is one of this prototype.
* TheCameo:
%%* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}

* AlliterativeName: '''P'''etunia '''P'''ig.
* DistaffCounterpart: To Porky.
* GirlishPigtails: In her later appearences (the character did not originally have hair).
* {{Jerkass}}: In "Porky's Romance", very much so.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: To Porky.

* TeamMom: In ''WesternAnimation/BabyLooneyTunes''.

* TheRival: To Bugs.
* SpeciesSurname: Cecil '''Turtle'''
* TurtlePower: One of the few characters who consistently thwarted Bugs Bunny.

* AlliterativeName: '''H'''enery '''H'''awk

* AlliterativeName: '''B'''eaky '''B'''uzzard

%%* {{Jerkass}}: Rocky
* LaughablyEvil: Both of them, though Rocky was initially created as a WorthyOpponent to Bugs just like Yosemite Sam (another Bugs villain created by Freleng).

* LargeHam: [[EvilLaugh "EEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!"]]

* BadlyBatteredBabysitter: Poor Marc Antony.
* BigFriendlyDog: It's no good denying it, Marc Antony.
* CatsAreMean:
* CuteKitten: Pussyfoot.
* FemaleFelineMaleMutt: Assuming Pussyfoot is female since there's a lot of ViewerGenderConfusion (sometimes it's referred to as "he", in other episodes it's "she") similar to the Tweety example. Many people like to think she's a female cat.
* GentleGiant: Marc Antony.
* PapaWolf: Marc Antony.

* AlliterativeName: '''C'''ool '''C'''at.

* {{Expy}}: Of WesternAnimation/ThePinkPanther, blatantly.
* NiceHat: His beret.

* BarefootCartoonAnimal: Bunny.
* CigarChomper: Bunny often has a cigar in her mouth.
* DamnItFeelsGoodToBeAGangster: A mild example.
* FullyDressedCartoonAnimal: Claude.
* OutlawCouple: A kid-friendly example.

* OfficialCouple: With WesternAnimation/BugsBunny.
