* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: Seine's full name is an anagram of real life voice actress Creator/KanaHanazawa. Her previous human incarnation as Sumire may have been taken from either Creator/SumireUesaka, or Creator/SumireMorohoshi.

* EasilyForgiven: [[spoiler:Even though he was attempting a FinalSolution on humanity not long before, the epilogue shows he's basically been let free to do whatever he wants. By ''Film/KamenRiderZeroOneREALxTIME'' everyone seems to have forgotten that he's the one who killed Is too, and when the new Is appears no one points out that he's the one who destroyed the old one.]]

* WeaponOfChoice: Horobi wields the Attache Arrow, a [[TheStraightAndArrowPath bow that fires energy arrows]], which can also be used as [[DoubleWeapon a double bladed sword]], in much the same way as the [[Series/KamenRiderGaim Sonic Arrow]] can be used.

* AxCrazy: Jin is initially both childish and amazingly ruthless when he first appears, gleefully executing a violent Trilobite Magia that attacks him and unhesitating in fighting and hacking other Humagears. He significantly mellows out and matures after his "revival".

* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Burning Falcon is colored bright red with a black bodysuit, and to say that Jin is vicious in this form would be an understatement. The evil is more of an AmbiguouslyEvil or ALighterShadeOfBlack however, since Jin's revival has made him ''more'' moral than his original incarnation.

* AnthropomorphicPersonification: Things like Metal Cluster Hopper's being coded from pure evil and how its depicted later in the series imply it's more or less the embodiment of malice and hatred itself, due to Gai having exposed it to humanity's evil during its learning phase.

* BattleAura: Gains this ability to release one once it becomes the Ark-Driver Zero and possesses someone, as it releases a large black and red one at Yua and Jin as a intimidation tactic. The next time he does this, its shown to knock out every untransformed member of A.I.M.S. simultaneously, effectively removing Gai's numbers advantage.

* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: The Ark, as the idol of worship of its cyber-terrorist cult [=MetsubouJinrai=], differs from [[Series/KamenRiderZiO Swartz]], who is a TimeMaster and is the leader of the from the future "freedom fighters" Time Jackers. While Swartz was the undisputed {{Chessmaster}} of his series who desired to become king to save and rule over his world by destroying all others, the Ark is an UnwittingPawn to its creator until managing to [[GrewBeyondTheirProgramming Grow Beyond Its Programming]], wishing to wipe out all of humanity so it can rule its Earth. However, a very noticeable trait that they share is that they ''both'' are [[BadBoss Bad Bosses]], but with a differing presentation; Swartz was very much an HiddenAgendaVillain who hid his EvilPlan from his subordinates until they found out too late, while the members are fully aware and onboard with the Ark's KillAllHumans, yet the A.I. is shown to be quite the raging {{Hypocrite}} due to treating its underlings no better than the humans its trying to destroy.

* EquippableAlly: Well, "ally" is the wrong word for it, but like the Drive Driver, it ''is'' the Ark-Driver Zero, forming it from the liquid metal its composed of when it forcibly possesses someone.

* GenericDoomsdayVillain: By time its revived it has degraded to this, trying to kill everyone more or less for the sake of it and little else.

* KnightOfCerebus: Once it's avatar is revealed, [[spoiler:the plot goes [[FromBadToWorse from "merely" ok to]] '' [[FromBadToWorse complete batshit]]'', as its appearance completely darken the mood.]]

At the same time, his willingness to destroy any Humagears who do anything to slight him undercuts his purported intentions. The realization he's become just like the Ark is what leads to his HeelFaceTurn.]]

If Aruto hadn't been away when Horobi shot Is and had been to protect her, or if Fuwa or Yaiba had stayed behind to comfort Aruto, or if Aruto had used the Zero-Two Driver instead (which was just as strong as the Ark-One Driver and far stronger than Horobi's Rider form), As's plan wouldn't have taken off at all.

* NotSoStoic: By #44, the fallout from Jin's death and Horobi declaring war on all humanity breaks Naki further, and they're showing way more distress than they've ever had all season.

* NiceHat: A part of his attire in the alternate timeline.

* UninhibitedMusclePower: [[AllThereInTheManual According to its parts list]], much of Ark-Zero's strength works by having its metal alloy (which has enough fluidity that it's compared to ''human flesh and nerves'') dig into its host and physically remove any barriers to maximum performance. The result is a traumatized and malfunction-prone but highly-destructive wreck that the Ark-Zero suit stabilizes and prevents from crossing the line into ExplosiveOverclocking or some other detriment to the host body. On human users this would definitely be PainfulTransformation UpToEleven, but on [=HumaGear=] hosts like Horobi and Jin, this isn't much of a problem.

* GiantSpider: An arachnid, really, but this is Ark-Scorpion's motif, based on the ''Pulmonoscorpius kirktonensus'' which had a projected maximum size of about a foot long. This is emphasized by it cranking all of Sting Scorpion's powers UpToEleven.

* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: UpToEleven. When Horobi firsts transforms into Ark-Scorpion, he generates an entire field of all the weapons the various Riders have used in the series for both his and Aruto's use.

Originally a deliveryman [=HumaGear=] named Okureru, he was hacked and given the [[ReptilesAreAbhorrent Kuehneo Zetsumerise Key]] by Jin, to launch an attack at Hiden Intelligence.

Once the Ark gains the ability to remotely hack [=HumaGears=], it begins doing so to create more Magia, the Kuehneo Magia among them.

* AnimalMotif: It is modeled after the '''Kuehneo'''suchus, an extinct genus of gliding lizard-like reptile that lived in the late Triassic period.

* AnimalMotifs: In a twofer, Naki's Rider powers are fueled by the Japanese Wolf Zetsumerise Key (representing ''Canis lupus hodophilax''), which maintains their symbolic tie to Fuwa while still fitting [=MetsubouJinrai=]'s theme of extinct animals. Notably, the armor on the left side of their helmet seems to invoke the image of a wolf's head.

* CharacterDevelopment: At the beginning of the series, Jin was AxCrazy and very childish, often not understanding the implications of his actions. After his revival, he's noticeably a lot more mellow and mature than his previous incarnation, often putting a lot more thought into his actions than his previous recklessness. He's also noticeably much more individualistic, forming his own ideas for what to do with the [=HumaGears=] rather than blindly following Horobi and the Ark. It helps that [[AllLovingHero Aruto]] ''considers'' him as a GodzillaThreshold once he's in a dire situation, [[spoiler: such as Gai's acquisition of Hiden Intelligence and the Ark's revival.]]Despite all of this, it should be mentioned that his ideas do come off fairly short sighted as he works towards his goals, thinking that everyone would just go along with his ideas rather than realizing that the reality is much more complicated.

* MotiveDecay: Spending a decade buried underwater did no favors for the Ark's sanity, and whatever well-intentioned extremism it once had has been replaced with simple hatred for everyone and everything but itself.

* OmnicidalManiac: Even at its nicest, the Ark's plans for [=HumaGears=] are anything but benevolent, but after having its plans foiled with their aid one too many times, the Ark decides that Gai had the right idea when he wanted to scrap them all.

* StupidEvil: After being revived as Ark-Zero, the Ark doesn't really come up with a coherent plan to accomplish [[KillAllHumans its goal]], instead opting to just destroy things periodically and seemingly at random. This buys the heroes plenty of time to develop a counter against it in the form of the Zero-Two Driver, [[spoiler:allowing them to destroy it without it having accomplished anything.]]

* CreateYourOwnVillain: Horobi's attempts to KillAllHumans stems from a belief that humanity will create another Ark if they're not destroyed. [[spoiler:His murder of Is ends up directly creating another Ark, out of Aruto, [[NiceJobBreakingItHero the only person strong enough to stand up the the Ark]].]]
* ColdHam: While Horobi's speech itself is generally calm and composed, the sheer degree of old-school Japanese flair in his mannerisms still makes him magnificently hammy.

* DiscOneFinalBoss: Is out of commission while Gai was the BigBad and was [[DemotedtoDragon Demoted to Dragon]] after Ark was revived. [[spoiler:He serves this twice over when he becomes an UnwittingPawn of As and the FinalBoss of the series itself, though the end of the final episode makes it clear that the story of ''Zero-One'' itself is far from over.]]

* TheHeavy: He splits it with Jin for the first quarter, as the spearheading [=MetsubouJinrai.net=]'s crusade and programming the [=Zetsumerise Keys=]. Later on, Horobi becomes the driving force behind the organization leading up to the Ark's revival and, in the final arc, [[spoiler:murders Is, triggering Aruto's DespairEventHorizon and him becoming Kamen Rider Ark-One.]]

Unfortunately, this is at the cost of causing unnecessary conflict between humans and [=Humagears=], inciting a [[spoiler:CycleOfRevenge between him and Aruto and others dragged into their conflict.]]

* DragonAscendant: After the Ark's destruction, As surfaces to begin manipulating Aruto and Horobi into bringing about a new incarnation of the Ark. It's subverted when she becomes into an UnwittingPawn and killed off, right before the Ark is revealed to still be active.

* TheHeavy: Not in the traditional sense, but she's the main instigator of conflict between Horobi and Aruto, manipulating the both of them by taking advantage of their grief.
