!!Gerudo
The Gerudo are an ancient people, who at one point in history had a vast and powerful empire. Over time various warlords of their race began to quarrel amongst themselves to the point where their conflict spread to other races. Seeing the potential in the Gerudo, the Moblin King Ganon offered them an offer of alliance. The selfish warlords rejected his offer, and as a result, Ganon poisoned the Gerudo bloodline by unknown means so that the Gerudo would never give birth to a male. After several decades the male population of the Gerudo died off, leaving only their females in a desperate situation to restore their race.\\\

The Gerudo prefer to fight on horseback and with bows, and as such they are superior in the field of archery when in a fight. Being raised in a desert however has left them with little need for armour, and most Gerudo wear simple outfits with little protection. Despite the lack of Gerudo durability, they are a very potent and mobile force that should never be underestimated.
----
[[folder: General]]
* AmazonBrigade: Justified; because of Ganon's curse, the Gerudo women are forced to become adapt and become warriors, as the only alive male Gerudo is Ganondorf. Inverted by the [[AlwaysMale Iron Knuckles]], the only (technically) male Gerudo units.
* AnimatedArmor: Iron Knuckles are armour animated by dead Gerudo males.
* AnnoyingArrows: Serpent Slayers' Mirror Shields allow them to shrug off most non-magical, non-artillery ranged attacks.
* BlowYouAway: Wind Witches, elder Gerudo who can control the hot winds of the Gerudo desert.
* CallARabbitASmeerp: Just like in [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild the game they came from]], the Gerudo's walrus mounts are called 'sand seals'.
* DarkSkinnedRedhead: Many Gerudo are redheads, and their skin is relatively dark, fitting their homeland in the desert.
* FantasticRacism: They hate the Hylians for exploiting them during their time of need.
* FragileSpeedster: Their army consists entirely of light infantry and cavalry. They have the best archers in Hyrule, but heavily armoured units (Tomb Guards and Iron Knuckles) are a rarity.
* {{Gendercide}}: Ganon inflicts this to the Gerudo by poisoning an oasis as part of a PoisonAndCureGambit.
* HitAndRunTactics: The Gerudo excel at this.
* HorseArcher: Dune Walkers and Dust Sentinels are Gerudo archers mounted on Sand Seals.
* HorseOfADifferentColor: In addition to horses, the Gerudo also have access to camels and walruses as mounts.
* AnIcePerson: Ice Archers, elite archers clad in blue who fire ice arrows.
* LongRangeFighter: The Gerudo's lack of armour makes them ill-suited for close combat.
* {{Matriarchy}}: Justified. Traditionally, the Gerudo used to have a patriarchal culture, but their Warlords' pride caused Ganon to curse them, resulting in no more boys being born, forcing the Gerudo to adapt and allow women to take leadership roles. Ganondorf's birth was treated as a miracle, and by birthright he became king of his people.
* OneGenderRace: After Ganon poisons their bloodline, no more Gerudo boys are born except Ganondorf, and by the time he's an adult he's the only Gerudo man alive.
* PoisonAndCureGambit: The Gerudo got this as a result of the Warlords rejecting Ganon's offer. He was supposed to cure them at a later moment, but [[GoneHorriblyWrong was never able to do so]].
* SoulPoweredEngine: Iron Knuckles, armour suits animated by the souls of long-dead Gerudo males.
* StealthyColossus: Despite their large size, Gerudo Dust Sentinels are covered in clouds of sand that shroud them when not moving.
* WizardsLiveLonger: Wind Witches live longer than other Gerudo due to their mastery of desert magic.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Circle of Warlords]]
A group of five Kings who rule the Gerudo during the rise of Ganon, who proposes an offer of alliance to them. Ganon is humble and honest, but the pride of these Warlords is so terrible that they reject his offer. Ganon accepts their rejection, and then claims that a curse will befall their people for their refusal. True to his word, Ganon then poisons the Gerudo bloodline, preventing male Gerudo to be born.\\\

Later, after Princess Zelda I hands over the Dark Interlopers - the followers of Bongo, Twinrova and Veran - to them, the Warlords banish them to the Mirror of Twilight, which they thought leads to nowhere, [[spoiler: was a portal to another planet, originally built by Bellum to transport its armies.]]
----
* LawfulStupid: The Warlords rejected Ganon's offer because of their pride.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Joining Ganon would have granted them more prosperous lands to live, but they refused out of a terrible sense of pride. Ganon as retaliation puts a curse that avoids male gerudo to be born, which can lead the entire race to extinction.
* NoNameGiven: The Warlords obviously have names, which are never revealed during the story.
* {{Pride}}: They were too proud to accept Ganon's offer.
* PuppetKing: From 200 BG onwards, all Warlords are secretly puppets of Koume and Kotake.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: The Warlords only appear in two brief scenes and have no spoken lines, but they play a very important role in the near-extinction of the male Gerudo and [[spoiler: the origin of the Twili]].
* TinTyrant: Most Gerudo wear leather while the Warlords have Darknut-grade full plate armour.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Koume and Kotake]]
The twin surrogate mothers of Ganondorf, Koume and Kotake have ruled the Gerudo from behind the throne for nearly three centuries. The two sisters have dramatically extended their lifespans through the use of the forbidden magics of the Spirit Temple. They have raised Ganondorf as their puppet, and crafted him into a warlord that will bring the Gerudo against their enemies in Hyrule.\\\

Koume is the more aggressive and talkative of the two sisters. She prefers brute force and direct action and is more than willing to get her hands dirty if a plan goes awry. Kotake is the more quiet and intelligent of the two sisters. She prefers to let Koume do most of the work, while she remains behind and plots out the situation at hand. She often lets her enemies make the first move, believing that a proper counter can undo any strategy.
----
* CoDragons: First to Vaati (alongside Agahnim and Zalunbar), then to Ganondorf.
* DragonInChief: Legally the Warlords and later Ganondorf are the leaders of the Gerudo, but Koume and Kotake hold the real power.
* EvilOldFolks: These two old wizened women are the power-hungry, manipulative true leaders of the Gerudo.
* EvilSorcerer: Both of these witches are sly, manipulative and power-hungry.
* AnIcePerson: Kotake, the Sorceress of Ice.
* TheManBehindTheMan: They have lead the Gerudo from the shadows for more than three centuries, and Ganondorf is only their latest puppet.
* PlayingWithFire: Koume, the Sorceress of Fire.
* RedOniBlueOni: Koume, the more aggressive and talkative, is the Red to the Blue of Kotake, the quieter and more patient.
* SiblingTeam: These two sisters always work together.
* SingleMindedTwins: Despite being two separate persons, they are essentially the same character.
* WizardsLiveLonger: Due to the forbidden magics they unearthed from the Spirit Temple, their lifespan was extended considerably; by the Gerudo Wars they are over 300 years old.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ganondorf]]
After the Moblin King Ganon had cursed the Gerudo people, within but a generation the entire male population had all but vanished. Despite this affliction, Ganondorf was born. Thrust into a leadership position and raised by his two surrogate mothers, the King of Thieves would ascend to the throne and lead the Gerudo people in several desperate attempts to save themselves from extinction.\\\

Ganondorf has little compassion, and years of watching his people fade into death has driven his madness to save them. He has a personal hatred of Hylians, whom he blames for preventing the Gerudo from expanding to save themselves.
----
* BadassCape: He wears a white cape over his armour.
* CoolMask: Ganondorf often wears a horned, skull-shaped mask.
* DeadGuyJunior: His name means 'phantom of Ganon' in the Gerudo language.
* DualWielding: A scimitar and a trident.
* FantasticRacism: Towards the Hylians, whom he blames for preventing the Gerudo from saving themselves.
* FightingFromTheInside: [[spoiler:He, with the help of his wife, manages to convince Ganon, while possessed by him, that Demise is the real enemy.]]
* GrandTheftMe: [[spoiler: When possessed by Ganon.]]
* HijackedByGanon: [[InvokedTrope Invoked]] on him when [[spoiler: Demise tries to use to him to resurrect Ganon, who ends up possessing Ganondorf's body, making this quite a literal example. Subverted when Ganondorf and Nabooru convince Ganon that Demise was responsible for all the ruin that was brought to the Moblins, causing him to relinquish his hold.]]
* HumanSacrifice: [[spoiler: Demise intends to use Ganondorf as a sacrifice to resurrect Ganon, since he needs a loyal servant who could command the Gerudo even after failing to cure their people.]]
* LastOfHisKind: Ganondorf is the last of the male Gerudo.
* MeaningfulName: The Gerudo gave Ganondorf his name because despite the curse Ganon put on their people he still happened to be born. Ganondorf roughly translates to 'Phantom of Ganon' in their language.
* OldMaster: [[spoiler: Ganondorf is 63 years old when he duels Demise and comes out on top.]]
* OneHandedZweihander: He fights by waving his trident with one hand at enemies.
* ProngsOfPoseidon: He wields a Zuna trident manufactured in the shape of Ganon's Trident of Power.
* PuppetKing: The latest one in a series of puppets used by Koume and Kotake, the true rulers of the Gerudo.
* ReallyGetsAround: As the only male Gerudo available after their near-extinction, a large amount of Gerudo born after around 90 AG are his daughters.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Ganondorf is simply trying to assure his people's survival in the face of oppression of the Hylians.
* StupidSacrifice: [[spoiler: When Hylia's got the upper hand during her duel with Demise, Ganondorf suddenly intercedes, grabs the Master Sword from her and fights Demise on his own. He wins, but is killed by the powers of the Master Sword shortly afterward.]]
* TransformationOfThePossessed: [[spoiler: Ganondorf becomes a twisted beast when Ganon merges with him.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: All he wanted was to find fertile land for his people, even if he had to conquer Hyrule.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nabooru]]
The legal wife of Ganondorf, right-hand woman in command of the Gerudo armies, and the Sage of Spirits, Nabooru's life is one of servitude to many competing individuals and ideologies. At a young age she was wed to Ganondorf against her will, only to be awakened as a Sage soon after and forced to undermine his command. Nabooru constantly struggles to work both with and against the regime of her husband. Though she shares in his belief of saving their people through conquest, her duties as a Sage often puts her in direct opposition with Ganondorf and perhaps more notably his surrogate mothers, Koume and Kotake.
----
* BlowYouAway: As the Sage of Winds, Nabooru was given the ability to control and manipulate the wind.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler: After Twinrova discover Nabooru's intentions to stop Ganondorf, they brainwash her and force her to fight the Hylians, aware of all of her actions but unable to control herself.]]
* DualWielding: Two Gerudo scimitars.
* FightingFromTheInside: [[spoiler: Against Twinrova's influence.]]
* HappilyMarried: Implied to be this to Ganondorf.
* ThePowerOfLove: What makes Nabooru keep being loyal to Ganondorf despite his atrocities.

!!Darknut Legion
An ancient canine people that originated from the mountain ranges west and south of the Gerudo desert. From an early age, Darknuts are trained to wield the best armour, the biggest swords, and maintain the highest order of discipline to preserve their creed.
----
[[folder:General]]
* AnnoyingArrows: Darknut Dauntless can shrug off all ranged attacks that are not magical or artillery.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Rank in the Darknut Legion stems entirely from battlefield experience and personal skill; it's not because of empty hyperbole that the Cliff Lords refer to their generals as Deities.
* BeastMan: Darknuts are dog men, Fokka bird men and Mazura horse men.
* BlingOfWar: Darknut Deities' armour and swords are exquisitely decorated with a gold plating.
* CarryABigStick: Mazura Hippikon and Doomknockers both wield quite nasty looking maces.
* CentauroidForm: The Legion makes use of the Lynel, centaur-like creatures with the head of a lion.
* CulturedBadass: Darknut culture focuses heavily on the edification of individual warrior prowess, and they have a very well earned reputation as truly fearsome soldiers. They also have a great love of glass working, particularly making breathtaking stained glass frescoes, to say nothing of their beautiful hanging gardens and public amphitheaters.
* DeathOrGloryAttack: The Darknuts' combination of tremendous attacking power, heavy armour, and slow speed makes every charge into one of these. If they hit and win, they devastate the enemy. If they hit and lose and then rout, none of them survive because they'll be run down in moments by much faster enemy infantry.
* DoesNotLikeMagic: The Legion is rather distrustful and disdainful of magic users, and most Darknuts except Yaraxonal are forbidden from practicing magic.
* {{Egopolis}}: The fortress of Baral's Stand was named after a Darknut warrior who held out an entire army by himself, later considered to be a god.
* EliteArmy: The Darknut roster features the heaviest melee infantry in the game, bar none. They also have very small unit sizes, usually around twenty men per unit, but they are more than sufficient to defeat enemies who vastly outnumber them.
* TheExile: The Darknuts' Lynel allies are native to Labrynna, but have since been driven from their home and forced to take refuge in the Legion.
* TheFaceless: Darknuts make heavy use of full helms and most of their units don't have visible faces.
* FantasyCounterpartCulture: Equal parts Rome and Sparta. The former comes from their heavy use of auxiliaries, willingness to assimilate servant races, and their professional soldiers bearing the title of Legionaries. The latter stems from their ProudWarriorRace ways and their militia units being composed of citizen soldiers called Hoplites.
* FieldPromotion: Members of the Legion can gain experience and rank up in battle, becoming Mighties, Legendaries and Deities in that order.
* FragileSpeedster: Darknut Gymnitai, Reavers and Fokka Hypaspists fill the role of fast, light infantry in the otherwise very heavy Darknut army.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Depending upon who sits on the throne of Ontheon, the Darknuts have been both mortal enemies and keen allies of Hyrule. Under Zalunbar, they were quite hostile and ended up serving as shock troops for Ganon's invasion. Under Yaroxnal, they were instrumental in restoring Zelda V to the throne of Hyrule, and led a campaign to destroy the last of the Druthulidi.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Any victim unfortunate enough to be hit by a Darknut Ballista.
* LargeAndInCharge: Their elite veterans, the Jermafensers and the Doomknockers, are noted as being huge even by the Darknuts already high standards: most are a full ten feet tall.
* LightningBruiser: Mazura Hippikon, being horsemen who dual wield maces, can run with the speed of a freight train and hit like one too.
* MadeOfIron: The Darknuts are infamous for their nearly impenetrable armour, making them pound for pound the most powerful soldiers in all of Hyrule.
* MasterSwordsman: Darknut warriors are trained to be a disciplined and unstoppable swordsmen from adolescence.
* MightyGlacier: Darknuts wield the biggest swords and wear the toughest armor, but are very slow and cannot run.
* RearingHorse: The Mazura, a race of humanoid horses, never stand on all fours.
* ServantRace: The Fokka, Mazura and Lynel all serve the Darknuts in their empire.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Darknut Gymnitai stride into battle shirtless.
* UndyingLoyalty: A common belief among the Fokka is that the Darknuts gave them the gift of civilization, and regard serving the Legion in any capacity they can as their way of repaying the Cliff Lords for this blessing.

[[folder:Zalunbar]]
A powerful Darknut warrior, Zalunbar was deified by his people and assumed control of the Legion nearly five thousand years prior. His unnaturally long life and apparent immortality ignited much fervor among his people, and convinced many he was a true god. Zalunbar was utterly narcissistic and completely egocentric. Centuries of constant praise and worship has let his ego spiral completely out of control, and there are few who would dare question his godhood.
----
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Despite the questionable state of his divinity, Zalunbar did not earn his position purely by chance.
* AnAxeToGrind: Like other Deities, Zalunbar prefers to use a huge, golden axe.
* BlingOfWar: Zalunbar's ''glowing'' armour and swords.
* CombatPragmatist: Zalunbar tries his hardest to avoid helping the Moblins by cheating at his own tournament by using Zuna auxiliaries against Ganon's forces. Unfortunately for him, Ganon sees no problem with cheating right back with his Sheikah allies.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Defied. He has to grant a wish to challengers who defeat him, but when beaten by Ganon, he still refuses to join Ganon until Vaati intervenes.
* DisneyVillainDeath: [[spoiler:Zalunbar is thrown from the walls of Ontheon by Yaraxonal after she is freed]].
* TheDragon: The closest lackey of Vaati and also the public face of his rule over the Legion.
* EvilOverlord: He ruled the Darknut Legion for nearly five thousand years.
* FantasticRacism: He refuses to work with the Moblins, considering them no more than filthy pigs.
* FounderOfTheKingdom: Zalunbar is one of the two co-founders of the Darknut Legion alongside Yaraxonal.
* AGodAmI: Thinks of himself as a god, despite not truly being one.
* GodEmperor: He's worshipped as a god by the Darknuts and their vassals.
* GodGuise: Zalunbar thinks of himself as a god, but is not truly one despite his ego.
* GodhoodSeeker: He seeks to become a true deity.
* MouthOfSauron: To Vaati, who would never make himself known to the Darknut people to give the illusion that Zalunbar was indeed their all-powerful ruler.
* OhCrap: Has this reaction when Ganon charges against him.
* PuppetKing: He's the titular King of the Legion, but he knows that Vaati is the true power.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Zalunbar's eyes are red, and he's also an arrogant tyrant.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Zalunbar fancies himself a god. In truth, he's only the lackey and puppet of Vaati.
* SmugSnake: Despite his huge ego, Zalunbar is little more than Vaati's lackey and mouth.
* TimeAbyss: Vaati keeps Zalunbar from ageing and maintains his god-like status amongst his people.
* TinTyrant: Inverted. Most Darknut professional soldiers wear full armour, while he doesn't wear a helmet.
* VeteranUnit: Most Darknut units can rank up when fighting and get more powerful.

[[folder:Yaraxonal]]
Yaraxonal was a former Sage of Hyrule, as well as leader and chief deity of the Darknut Legion prior to Zalunbar. Unknown to the Darknut populace, she was imprisoned in stone by Vaati and usurped by Zalunbar. For nearly five thousand years, she faded from memory, using her powers as a Sage to reach out and send a message for help. As a Sage of Hyrule, Yaraxonal was an exception to the Legion's no-magic policy. She had command of the desert winds, and would use them against enemies of the Legion. Despite her power and veneration as a god, Yaraxonal was rather humble, and was responsible for expanding the Legion through diplomacy and assimilation rather than conquest.
----
* AndIMustScream: Yaraxonal was fully conscious in her five millennia imprisoned underneath Ontheon.
* BlowYouAway: As the Sage of Winds, she could summon forth cyclones and other powerful natural forces with the wind.
* ButtMonkey: During ancient times Yaraxonal was described as a kind and generous individual, to the point where she was stepped on and taken advantage of by her people. [[spoiler: This completely changed when she is freed from Vaati's prison.]]
* ChekhovsGunman: [[spoiler: The wife that the Black Knight mentioned just before Vaati kills him? She's Yaraxonal.]]
* DefectorFromDecadence: [[spoiler: Yaraxonal attempted to stop Zalunbar's alliance with a Druthulidi. It didn't work so well.]]
* DualWielding: She wields two small scimitars.
* TheDogBitesBack: [[spoiler: Yaraxonal murders Zalunbar and usurps his place five millennia after he condemned her to a FateWorseThanDeath.]]
* FauxDeath: [[spoiler: She did not age during the five millennia being sealed under Ontheon.]]
* FounderOfTheKingdom: Yaraxonal is one of the two co-founders of the Darknut Legion alongside Zalunbar.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: [[spoiler: Yaraxonal was imprisoned by Vaati and Zalunbar after she discovered their unholy alliance.]]
* HighPriest: The leader of the Darknut religion before her fall.
* ISeeDeadPeople: Yaraxonal can guide spirits of the dead to the afterlife.
* OnlySaneMan: She's the only person aware of Vaati's influence on Zalunbar.]]
* SealedGoodInACan: Yaraxonal was imprisoned in stone by Vaati for millennia until Link frees her in the Gerudo Wars.
* SinisterScythe: Yaraxonal is very skilled with scythes and chained sickles in combat.
* TranquilFury: [[spoiler: After being freed from her prison, Yaraxonal remains calm and taciturn as she stabs Vaati and throws Zalunbar down from the walls of Ontheon]].

[[folder:Senturon, the Black Knight]]
Senturon served as one of Vaati's enforcers during the Ancient Age of Hyrule. Seemingly unkillable, rumors began to build around Senturon that he had the power to raise himself from the dead. Regardless, he mercilessly carried out the orders of the Legion and completely drove the Wind Tribe from Hyrule. After nearly five-thousand years, the name Senturon has been forgotten, and the moniker of Black Knight has faded into legend. Still, there are some words spoken that this grim warrior still walks in the shadows of Hyrule, and serves the Legion to this day.
----
* BackFromTheDead: He's resurrected by the Fairies of Tarm shortly after his death.
* TheFaceless: Like most Darknuts, Senturon always wear a full helm.
* FatalFamilyPhoto: [[spoiler: Senturon is murdered by Vaati just as he mentions his wife. Subverted that he's later resurrected by the Fairies.]]

!!Cobble Kingdom
The Cobble Kingdom was once a mighty nation that rivalled the Lokomo and Oshus Empire. At the peak of their power they employed ingenious construction techniques and created massive cities that dwarfed their rivals. They were infamous for their massive constructs which they would unleash in battle.\\\

During their conflict with the Lokomo and Oshus Empire, the Cobble Kingdom remained loyal to Bellum throughout the war. When King Oshus unleashed his unstoppable Phantom Army on a genocidal rampage, massive armies of the Cobble Kingdom fell to their endless and tireless march. In short order the entire Kingdom collapsed, and the last of their people retreated deep within their monumental tombs and entered a long enchanted sleep. For centuries the last of the Cobble have rested beneath the earth while the Oshus Empire and Lokomo became extinct.\\\

Now awakened by the arrival of explorers from Hyrule, the Cobble Kingdom has returned to reclaim their glory. Though they lack the technological sophistication they once had, the Cobble Kingdom still has a tech advantage over the other factions of the Great Sea, particularly in construction. The true strength of the Cobble Kingdom's military might is their artificial constructs. These soulless beings are immune to all moral effects and can take on superior numbers. Their largest constructs are able to assist their navies in ocean operations. The Cobble Navy does not stand out in particular, though it is decent enough to get the job done.

* AdvancedAncientAcropolis: The Cobble was known to be very proficient in architecture.
* BuildLikeAnEgyptian: There are still numerous ruins of Cobble pyramids in the Great Sea.

* PrecursorKillers: The Cobble Kingdom was a major contributor to the extinction of the Oshus Empire.

* TinTyrant: Most Gerudo wear leather while the Warlords have Darknut-grade full plate armour.

* DualWielding: A scimitar and a trident.
* FantasticRacism: Towards the Hylians, whom he blames for preventing the Gerudo from saving themselves.

* DualWielding: Two Gerudo scimitars.
* FightingFromTheInside: [[spoiler: Against Twinrova's influence.]]

[[folder:Gerudo]]
The Gerudo are an ancient people, who at one point in history had a vast and powerful empire. Over time various warlords of their race began to quarrel amongst themselves to the point where their conflict spread to other races. Seeing the potential in the Gerudo, the Moblin King Ganon offered them an offer of alliance. The selfish warlords rejected his offer, and as a result, Ganon poisoned the Gerudo bloodline by unknown means so that the Gerudo would never give birth to a male. After several decades the male population of the Gerudo died off, leaving only their females in a desperate situation to restore their race.

----
* AmazonBrigade: The only alive male Gerudo is Ganondorf.

!!Circle of Warlords
A group of five Kings who rule the Gerudo during the rise of Ganon, who proposes an offer of alliance to them. Ganon is humble and honest, but the pride of these Warlords is so terrible that they reject his offer. Ganon accepts their rejection, and then claims that a curse will befall their people for their refusal. True to his word, Ganon then poisons the Gerudo bloodline, preventing male Gerudo to be born.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Joining Ganon would have granted them more prosperous lands to live.

!!Koume and Kotake

The two surrogate mothers of Ganondorf, Koume and Kotake have ruled the Gerudo from behind the throne for nearly three centuries. The two sisters have dramatically extended their lifespans through the use of the forbidden magics of the Spirit Temple. They have raised Ganondorf as their puppet, and crafted him into a warlord that will bring the Gerudo against their enemies in Hyrule.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Kotake used to have blue hair, which greyed as she ages.

!!Ganondorf
After the Moblin King Ganon had cursed the Gerudo people, within but a generation the entire male population had all but vanished. Despite this affliction, Ganondorf was born. Thrust into a leadership position and raised by his two surrogate mothers, the King of Thieves would ascend to the throne and lead the Gerudo people in several desperate attempts to save themselves from extinction.

* DualWielding: A scimitar and a trident.

!!Nabooru

* DualWielding: Two Gerudo scimitars.
* FightingFromTheInside: [[spoiler: Against Twinrova's influence.]]
* HappilyMarried: Implied to be this to Ganondorf.
* ThePowerOfLove: What makes Nabooru keep being loyal to Ganondorf despite his atrocities.

!!Urbosa

----
* BlingOfWar: The part of Urbosa's armour that covers her belly is exquisitely plated with gold.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Ganondorf's illegitimate daughter.

!!Riju

----
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Ganondorf and Nabooru's daughter and Urbosa's half sister. In canon, she's unrelated to either of the first two while her relation to Urbosa is implied.

[[folder:Darknut Legion]]
An ancient canine people that originated from the mountain ranges west and south of the Gerudo desert. From an early age, Darknuts are trained to wield the best armour, the biggest swords, and maintain the highest order of discipline to preserve their creed.

----
* AnnoyingArrows: Darknut Dauntless can shrug off all ranged attacks that are not magical or artillery.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Rank in the Darknut Legion stems entirely from battlefield experience and personal skill; it's not because of empty hyperbole that the Cliff Lords refer to their generals as Deities.
* PettingZooPeople: Darknuts are dog men, Fokka bird men and Mazura horse men.

!!Vaati
-->''See Druthulidi''

!!Zalunbar
A powerful Darknut warrior, Zalunbar was deified by his people and assumed control of the Legion nearly five thousand years prior. His unnaturally long life and apparent immortality ignited much fervor amongst his people and convinced many he was a true god.

* AGodAmI: He seeks to become a true deity.
* GodEmperor: He's worshipped as a god by the Darknuts and their vassals.
* GodGuise: Zalunbar thinks of himself as a god, but is not truly one despite his ego.
* TryingToCatchMeFightingDirty: Zalunbar tries his hardest to avoid helping the Moblins by cheating at his own tournament by using Zuna auxiliaries against Ganon's forces. Unfortunately for him, Ganon sees no problem with cheating right back with his Sheikah allies.
* VeteranUnit: Most Darknut units can rank up when fighting and get more powerful.

!!Yaraxonal

!!Senturon, the Black Knight

* TheSmartGuy: In the Gerudo Wars when he joins forces with [[spoiler: the Hylians and the Gorons against Vaati.]]
