A mysterious individual whose existence is shrouded in mystery. They make their first appearance at the very end of ''Automne''...As a gravestone with their name engraved in it, located and hidden in a remote place from the Academy. Heavily suspected to be Dalia's foster faster, but ultimately revealed in ''Hiver'' to be a former student of the Academy, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Mayuri Kohsaka.

* AscendedExtra: Despite having no proper appearance in the series, her popularity eventually made way for two Drama CDs featuring her and Dalia during their time as students, and her appearance was eventually shown in concept arts.

* ExperiencedProtagonist: Out of the three protagonists of the series, she stands out as the most charismatic and popular student of the school, comfortable with social interactions, while being the president of the Council of Nicaea in her second year. She also knows about [[spoiler:the whereabouts of Mayuri Kohsaka and the existence of Shion Basquiat.]]

** ''Automne'' goes further by introducing [[spoiler:the Tulpa of Agape and Shion Basquiat to the list, both of them being somewhat related to her disappearance, but Yuzuriha refrains from saying more out of concern for Suoh.]]

* AmbiguouslyEvil: [[spoiler:She's heavily implied in ''Hiver'' to know something about Mayuri's whereabouts, which is somewhat related to Shion Basquiat and the Tulpa of Agape. However, when asked about them, she refuses to respond to any of Suoh's questions and becomes uncharacteristically silent and cold.]]

* OutOfFocus: After gaining some prominence in ''Été'' as Erika's caretaker and potential LoveInterest, she gets relegated to the background as a teacher once again in ''Automne''. In ''Hiver'', she becomes a person of interest again due to her link with [[spoiler:Shion Basquiat.]]

* AmbiguousSituation: Nothing is known about Shion Basquiat, be it their past, relation to Dalia Basquiat and even their gender due to "Shion" being an unisex name, although Suoh suggests the likely possibility of them being Dalia's foster father, until further evidence confirms her to be a former student of the Academy who disappeared long ago.

* MeaningfulName: Shion in Japanese refers to the aster tataricus, a flower loosely related to the Dahlias flowers. In hanakotoba, the Japanese language of flowers, it translates to "I won't forget you". Upon discovering an old picture of Shion in the specimen room, a similar message can be found behind it: "A memory of Shion that will never disappear."

* OneHundredPercentAdorationRating: After getting her own circle of friends by ''Automne'', she's loved by everyone else as the single most kindhearted girl of the school, to the point they would immediately go to her help when she faces problems in ''Hiver''.

* PoisonousFriend: Nerine's safety means everything to her, to the point she would become ruthless for her sake. Best shown in ''Hiver'' when [[spoiler:during the previous Bloody Mary incident, she singled-handedly made a teacher and several students quit the Academy for their ostracization of Nerine.]]

* UsefulNotes/JapaneseChristian: Unlike most of the rest of the cast, Mayuri is an actual Christian and not just someone going to a Christian school. Her family are devoted Catholics and she herself believes in God, but her faith clashes completely with her sexuality.

* StaticCharacter: Discussed. Ever since Mayuri disappeared at the end of ''Printemps'', most of her actions are motivated by her desire to find her no matter what. As such, Erika and Yuzuriha correctly point out that she didn't truly let go of the past despite having grown out of her shyness. By ''Hiver'', [[spoiler:Suoh herself acknowledges that unlike the rest of her friends, she didn't really change on the inside. Only by the later half of the story, she eventually reveals her struggle and lingering feelings for Mayuri to her friends and becomes stronger.]]

* {{Determinator}}: Is going to make friends at the academy no matter what it takes! On a more depressing note, Suoh will do anything to find out what happened to Mayuri, something that would push her to become [[spoiler:the new President of the Council of Nicaea]] and drive her actions in 'Hiver'.
