* Trumplica: Despite not having blonde hair or wealth like Trump does, he is a corrupt politician who held bigotry towards Canadians and wanting to "build a wall" to keep them out. Even the mission title is "Make Hope Great Again".

* KillEmAll: While his other siblings at least try to convert those who are unwilling to believe in the cult’s teachings, Jacob simply massacres anyone who is deemed ‘weak’.

* DeceptiveDisciple: Subtly implied, and subverted as they never explicitly turn on Joseph-but pretty much all of his Heralds subvert Joseph’s ideas.

** Jacob explicitly states that he doesn’t believe Joseph can hear the voice of God [[spoiler: in his death speech]], the implication being that he is simply using the Cult as an excuse to put his Darwinian beliefs into action, possibly as a coping method for eating Miller. He also doesn’t want to inculcate the Deputy into the Cult, wanting instead to end them as a threat as quickly as possible [[spoiler: albeit after getting as much use out of them by having them kill Eli and find the Whitetail’s bunker for him]]-in stark contrast to how Joseph wishes to have the Deputy converted to their cause.
** Faith, ironically fulfills Joseph’s orders the most, but she seems to be in it less out of belief in Joseph, and more for a sense of belonging and avoiding being hurt by the Cult for her failures. [[spoiler: During her boss fight, either out of genuine anguish or to manipulate the Deputy, she states how the cult “plied her with drugs…when [she] was only a child” and pointedly, states “Joseph ‘‘believes’’ he’s our savior”.]]

** The Deputy has it worse off than Staci, going through extensive physical and psychological torture-[[spoiler: being nearly drowned and having the sin of Wrath tattooed on them and then cut off by John, being starved for a week and brainwashed by Jacob into killing Eli, and being repeatedly drugged by Faith. It all culminates in them being locked into a bunker by Joseph Seed and brainwashed into The Judge, a silent hulk who never speaks except for grunting and crying.]]

* NervesofSteel: By contrast, Sheriff Whitehorse almost never shows the strain getting to him, although he is never captured [[spoiler: for the same length as the others. Even then, it takes a nuclear apocalypse for him to raise his voice slightly.]]

* WidowWoman: Her husband, Mark, was broken at Jacob's chalet and eventually died. She [[StuffBlowingUp has the Deputy blow the place sky-high]] in return.

* EarlyArrivalSpoiler: She’s a member of Edens Gate, illustrating just how powerful the cult is and how easily they can infiltrate pretty much anything-and ensuring nobody will come rescue Burke and the Sheriffs.

* AmbiguousDisorder:
** While it's easy to just label him as a sociopath due to his usual LackOfEmpathy, he shows enough emotion and regret that he may not qualify as one; he may simply be somehow managing to either turn a blind eye or internally justify all the suffering he's causing.
** ''Collapse'' gives us the claim that Joseph has history with HearingVoices he attributes to God. A mentally unwell person attributing their symptoms to a higher power is not unheard of, although the fact that the voices turned out be right does raise some questions.

* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: His WeaponOfChoice is pump-action shotgun.

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Downplayed. She is a beautiful woman who swayed many men to his side. Underneath her angelic demeanor, she is mentally insane and sadistic.

* FauxAffablyEvil: Faith always act as an carefree and sweet little angel towards the Junior Deputy, but trusting her will be a grave mistake.
* FemmeFatale: Played straight. As an extremely beautiful and angelic young woman with a childish and quirky personality, Faith was able to seduce many men to her side.

* TheHeart: After [[spoiler:her death]], Joseph states that she played this role within the cult.

* AmbiguousSituation: [[spoiler:While there's implications that what has confirmed to be a global nuclear war was orchestrated by Joseph; with each of his siblings have giant bunkers in their region, complete with nuclear silos. It's also likely that global tensions that you can momentarily hear over the radio during the game are just as likely. Either way Faith even warns the player, that if you resist Joseph, he will be right. However, the ''VideoGame/FarCry6'' "Control" DLC implies it was actually Pagan Min who was responsible all along.]]

* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Zigzagged. He is the only ''Far Cry'' antagonist to survive the events of the game and never answer for his crimes, no matter what the player does: the two standard endings, he either survives inside a bunker alongside the player character in the "Resist" ending, or you can decide to leave him alone and take your allies with you in the "Walk Away" ending (and its implied that he may have brainwashed the player character too). However, in two of the endings, [[PyrrhicVictory all of his siblings are dead along with his followers and all his other schemes are blown sky high, and in the Resist ending, he's stuck with the one person he hates the most.]] The Secret Ending plays this straight as it has you leaving him alone to continue his criminal activity unchallenged although this is subverted in a vision from the Collapse Dlc.]]

* PromotedToPlayable: Joseph has a DLC dedicated to him in ''VideoGame/FarCry6'' title "Collapse".

* RuleOfThree: Deputy Pratt tells the Junior Deputy that Jacob only needs three brainwashing sessions to get under one's skin. Sure enough, [[spoiler: the fourth hallucination is the one that ends with Eli being shot by the brainwashed deputy.]]

* AnimalMotifs: His philosophy is embodied by wolves and the animal is seen everywhere in his region. Jacob's loading screen features a wolf, tamed wolves serve as his soldiers as "judges" and he uses wolf imagery in his indoctrination stages. Even Jacob himself is accompanied by wolves and loves using them as a metaphor. Jacob's alias is "The Wolf" and his presence was marked by a wolf howl. [[spoiler:After the boss fight, a wolf will be found in Jacob's place.]]
