* GreenEyedMonster: She hides it well, but Shikako notices that it is not pleasant for Ami to have failed the second genin test and then find out that Naruto has passed.
* JerkWithAheartOfGold: Sort of... Ami is a jerk and we don't see her being nice, but she is responsible and dutiful, polite to people she doesn't like when they show up in her mother's shop, and won't let being mean get in the way of doing what she is supposed to do.

Shikako realizes that despite how it looks, Ami's post is actually rather prestigious for a twelve-year-old Genin Corps member with only a few months of service under her belt. Being distant also means she is trusted alone and unsupervised, meaning the village acknowledges her as appropriately skilled and responsible.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Averted. After the graduation exam we never hear of her. In canon we kept never hearing her, while in Dreaming of Sunshine Shikako runs across her at a Genin Corps posting.

Shikako realizes that despite how it looks, Ami's post is actually rather prestigious for a twelve-year-old Genin Corps member with only a few months of service under her belt. * FlashStep: In a [[WordOfGod Silver Queen approved]] [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9405615/2/Sunshine-and-Stormclouds one-shot]], after Shikako is hit by Tsukiyomi, Jiraiya hears her screams and is immediately on the scene.
