* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Dongtae sees being a Dicer like being a superhero. However, everyone else thinks he is poking his nose into other people's business.

* AuthorityGrantsAsskicking: He won the Final Die meaning replacing him as the new X every time, and the ghost doll implies there were other S-rank challengers. Dawn further states that in all those times he was challenged, he defeated Mooyoung in mere moments, citing this to Suksoon that he doesn't have a chance of defeating X even if he attains S-rank.

* AnimalMotifs: Mio has a frequent CatSmile, strong attachement to Dongtae and stray cats, and uncontrollable personality. In Dongtae's dream she scratches his face and also turns into a realistic cat.

* CatSmile: Her mouth's outline is curved at the corners by default when she smiles.

* KillerGameMaster: He is the GM of the Dice, and regularly gets Dicers killed either by making them fight each other or by making up games with death penalies. [[spoiler:It's becuase he can't attack a player directly.]]

* OrcusOnHisThrone: Subverted. He doesn't physically appear in front of the players until the "final round", but still actively maintains contact and manipulates them on several occasions. When Dongtae proposes and wins own quest in order to fight him early, it nearly became a HopelessBossFight.

* {{Troll}}: Absolutely relishes in messing with people, deliberataly making insensitive remarks when people are not in the mood.

* AntiHero: Instead of thinking like Dongtae that X, the administrator, is the prpblem, she believes the Dice, the tool, are the problem[[spoiler: , and tries to erase them. While she has her moral standards, she refuses to ackonwledge the Dice have helped people too]].

* {{Bishonen}}: Slowly becomes more attractive using the power of the Dice. [[spoiler: It doesn't last after his loss to X and TimeSkip. He doesn't bother regaining his appearance.]]

* PeekABangs: His eyes mostly obscured by his hair.
