* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He is a ''massive'' asshole the first time we see him, but by the end [[spoiler:of his first appearance]], the heart of gold has come out. [[spoiler:He's lost most of his jerkassitude after the TimeSkip]].

* AmbiguouslyHuman: [[spoiler:Chronos implies this of him in Chapter 132, thinking he may possibly become the strongest weapon against Priscilla. Although that appears to be less because he's ambiguously human and more because he's ''fully'' human -- Priscilla can't keep track of him in battle the way she can with everyone else because he has no yoki to sense.]]

* BadassNormal: Post-time skip. He has no youki to release to enhance his speed or strength, and thus can't pull off any of the KiManipulation-like moves of the Claymore elite, but he appears to be a match for the weakest Claymores, while possessing only the regular skills and abilities a human could conceivably gain. Later, he holds off the next two (incomplete) #1 and #2 twin duo - although they were holding back - and received complements from Chronos, the fourth-strongest male Awakened Being. This has caused quite a bit of WildMassGuessing in regards to his status as "Normal", [[spoiler: and although Priscilla still kicks his ass, that was exactly what he expected her to do, much to [[InTheBack Priscilla's dismay]].]]

* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: He can hold back even Awakened yoma [[BadassNormal without any of the]] [[SuperSoldier Claymore's improvments]] due solely to his training with Isley. He's also so strong that he can use a claymore with one hand, something Clare couldn't do in her first year as a trainee.

* DeliberateInjuryGambit: Raki challenged Priscilla knowing she'd effortlessly defeat him... [[spoiler: and then completely forget about him, leaving her open for him to attack, as he has no Yoki for her to track.]]

* TheMole: In his first appearance post-time skip he reveals tha the Organisation is responsible for not only creating the Claymores but the Youma as well as part of a superweapon project, and that he has been assigned to infiltrate it.
