* DarkerAndEdgier: Their original incarnation was a legitimate cardfighting organization, albeit one filled with {{Jerkass}} fighters. Here, they're a glorified gang that attacks shops and subjects their opponents to [[ShockAndAwe electric torture]].
* DubNameChange: From Foo Fighters to Team Asteroid. Made especially jarring when they say Foo Fighters but the subtitles read Asteroid.
* HeelFaceTurn: After Ren's defeat at the hands of Aichi, they stopped invading shops.

He uses a Dark Irregulars deck, building up the number of cards in his soul to unlock the abilities of his units while relying on the Protect gift marker to help defend against attacks. To finish his opponent, he relies on No Life King, Death Anchor allowing him to make another attack with his vanguard by riding another Grade 3 from the soul mid-battle with the added bonus of an extra critical.

* TheDragon: Ren's right hand since Foo Fighters conception.
** DragonInChief: That said, Ren's general [[TheDitz ditzy]] nature forces Tetsu to take charge more often than not, ranging from deploying fighters to organizing raids. Episode 19 even shows he was the one who created the [=VF=] gloves and proposed that Foo Fighters start taking over the shops.
* TheHeavy: As the one responsible for not only organizing the raids on card shops but proposing the idea in the first place, Tetsu is reponsible for most of the events of the [=PSYqualia=] arc happening.

* AdaptationalBadass: Marginally. In the manga, Minami ran away before Kai could deal 3 damage to him with Dragonic Overlord and shock him with his gloves. In the anime, he stays for the entire fight and takes the attack before scurrying off.
* ButtMonkey: Not only does Kai crush him in a vanguard fight and makes him run away, but after being caught by Tetsu and Asaka, he is forced to act as the latter's dog, right down to wearing a collar and being left outside tied to a post.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: After being forced to wear a dog collar by Asaka, he not only begins walking on all fours next to her, he continues acting like a dog even when she isn't around. He even goes as far as to get into a ''barking fight'' with another dog.
* DirtyCoward: While he has no problem torturing his opponents, when he is about to get his ass kicked by Kai's Dragonic Overload he runs away in fear.
* SmugSnake: Talks big, but when things go south for him in his duel against Kai, he's quick to run away.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: An extremely sadistic SmugSnake, who won't hesitate to cut and run when things look too bad for him.

!!Kiriya Bidou
A member of Foo Fighters stationed at one of the shops Aichi, Kamui and Kyou visit during their "Foo Fighter Hunt". Which clan he uses in this continuity is unknown.

* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: While Kiriya is mentioned in the manga, he did not appear in the [=PSYqualia=] arc.
* AdaptationalWimp: In the first season of the original series, Bidou was part of Brilliant Stars, the second-ranked team within Foo Fighters and a candidate for moving up to [=AL4=] but who had the misfortune of going up against Aichi with his [=PSYqualia=] active. Here, in this series, he is defeated off-screen by Aichi without him having to use [=PSYqualia=].
* OhCrap: When he realizes that he inadvertently told to go away was none other than Ren.

A member of [=SL3=], the second strongest group of fighters within Foo Fighters, below only [=AL4=]. Aichi, Kamui and Kyou meet him at cardshop [=GBH=] where Kyou has him fight Aichi in order to test the latter's [=PSYqualia=].

Like Kawanami, he uses a Megacolony deck focused around the Machining units.

* AdaptationalJerkass: In the first series, Osamu was merely a cardfighter who fought Aichi over the last spot in the Shop tournament but wasn't otherwise much of a jerk, or even that notable of a character. Here, he is a member of Foo Fighters, a gang that takes over shops and fights using gloves that inflict electric shocks.
* SmugSnake: Acts dismissive toward both Kyou and Aichi, in spite of always losing against the former.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Has white hair and is part of Foo Fighters.

In this continuity, Kourin plays a Gold Paladin deck, spearheaded by Incandescent Lion, Blond Ezel whose skill let it be rode even if the opponent is at grade 1. Her deck focuses on calling units to the field to increase the number of attacks she can make.

* RedOniBlueOni: The red oni to Kai's blue.

* TheDreaded: Has a reputation of being the "Backstage Boss" of Miyaji Academy, rumored to control the academy from the shadows using psychic powers. While said rumors are false, people do fear her beauce of her photographic memory.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: She ruthlessly kicked out a random deliquent cardfighter after he attempted to steal Kamui's Perfect Raizer.

* TheWorfEffect: Misaki is defeated by Gouki so the audience can see why he ended up as the runner-up of the Asia Circuit. Happens again when she loses to Ren to show how strong he and his Psyqualia are. She doesn't even get a chance to ride to Grade 3.

He is shown to have picked a Narukami deck which contains the "secret weapon" Shin gave him: Great Composure Dragon. His strategy is to remove units from his opponent's frontrow by binding them or moving them to the backrow in order so that his units can power-up. He later upgrades it by including Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion as his new ace card.

* {{Delinquent}}: Naoki has the reputation of being one which stems mainly from his appearance. His short tempes doesn't help with it.

* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: A more subdued exemple but Naoki is the foolish sibling to his older brother Masaki's responsible sibling. The latter managed to get into a first-rate college while Naoki prefers to laze around and doesn't care about studying.

* {{Tsundere}}: When Aichi thanks her for convincing Misaki to join the club, Kourin gives the usual "it's not like I did it for you" answer. Which is then immediatly lampshaded by Naoki.

He initially fights using a Spike Brothers deck, but starts fighting with a Royal Paladin deck in order to use Aichi's Blaster Blade after stealing it. After losing Blaster Blade he still uses it, but unlike Aichi he doesn't use the superior call capabilities of the Clan and focuses more on giving his units more power with their own skills without using the Imaginary Gift Force.

* SatelliteLoveInterest: AvertedTrope this time. She has more meaningful interactions with her teammates and even Aichi.

* AdaptationalBadass: Marginally. In the manga, Minami ran away before Kai could deal 3 damage to him with Dragonic Overlord and shock him with his gloves. In the anime, he stays for the entire fight and takes the attack before scurrying off.
* ButtMonkey: Not only does Kai crush him in a vanguard fight and makes him run away, but after being caught by Tetsu and Asaka, he is forced to act as the latter's dog, right down to wearing a collar and being left outside tied to a post.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: After being forced to wear a dog collar by Asaka, he not only begins walking on all fours next to her, he continues acting like a dog even when she isn't around. He even goes as far as to get into a ''barking fight'' with another dog.
* DirtyCoward: While he has no problem torturing his opponents, when he is about to get his ass kicked by Kai's Dragonic Overload he runs away in fear.
* SmugSnake: Talks big, but when things go south for him in his duel against Kai, he's quick to run away.

Like Kamui, Miwa plays a Nova Grapplers deck, but his is centered around the Hero units and combines the ability to re-stand his units with skills that block the opponent from intercepting attacks.

* ADayInTheLimelight: He gets to fight against Koutei in Image 7. He loses, but was able to put up a good fight. And again in Image 15 where he fights Asaka and his friendship with Kai is delved into in greater detail.
* RedOniBlueOni: The red oni to Kai's blue.
* TheWorfEffect: While he isn’t as skilled a fighter as the Asia Circuit Champions or Kai, he’s established to be a good player in his own right. He however loses to Koutei in Image 7 and Asaka in Image 15, to establish how strong they are.

!!Emi Sendou
Aichi's younger sister. Despite being the younger of the Sendou siblings, she's the more responsible of the two and often acts like an [[BigBrotherInstinct overprotective little sister]]. Curious about him acting different, she follows him to Card Capital and ends up becoming a regular visitor of the shop.
