-->"The only predictable thing about me is that I'm unpredictable!"

A villain who was first introduced in the live-action movie ''Film/Ben10RaceAgainstTime''. Eon's origin is... complicated, in that he's been given two entirely contradictory ones across his few appearances.\\\

In ''Race Against Time'', a live-action adaptation confirmed to take place in a non-canon AlternateUniverse, Eon was presented as a Chronian, a {{Human Alien|s}} whose species was trapped in a different dimension and who was attempting to bring back his species through an artifact called the Hands of Armageddon to invade Earth. Since he himself was no longer able to activate the Hands, he captured Ben and forced him to turn into him, hacking the Omnitrix so his personality would take over. Ben, however, was brought back to his sense by Gwen, and then seemingly defeated Eon by throwing him through the Hands of Armageddon.\\\

Another version of the character appears in the ''Ultimate Alien'' episode "Ben 10,000 Returns". He comes from an Alternate Universe but travelled into the Prime Timeline, where it's revealed he has been travelling through timelines chasing alternate versions of Ben. It's eventually revealed that he is actually an alternate version of Ben 10,000 who went evil and started travelling to absorb all the alternate versions of himself, turning them into his minions and intending to create a single timeline where he would be the only Ben Tennyson. He is eventually defeated when Ben and his future self destroy the Hands of Armageddon, supposedly erasing Eon from the timeline.\\

This version of the character reappears in ''Omniverse'' (albeit with more similarities with the movie version in his design). After Paradox trapped him in the Prime Timeline (particularly the past, present, and future), Eon attempts to get his hand on the scientist's Chrono Navigator, leading to a complex episode where 11-year-old Ben and 16-year-old Ben get their places switched. Following on from this, Eon allies with Vilgax and later Maltruant, which [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder go about as well as one would expect for him]].
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: He was no saint in ''Race Against Time'', but at least had a somewhat understandable motive. His canon self has no sympathy whatsoever and is far worse, willing to risk destroying the entire cosmos.
* AlienInvasion: What he intended to do in ''Race Against Time''.
* AlternateSelf: In the Main Timeline, he is an alternate version of Ben.
** The Eon featured in ''Race Against Time'' is an alternate version of the Eon featured in both ''Ultimate Alien'' and ''Omniverse''.
* ArchEnemy: To Professor Paradox, who is his time-travelling nemesis that foils his plans to conquer all of space-time.
* BadassLongcoat: In ''Race Against Time'' and ''Omniverse''; In ''Ultimate Alien'', he traded it for a BadassCape.
* BadBoss: The ''Race Against Time'' incarnation of the character is shown at one point killing one of his minions out of anger because they fail to find Ben.
* BigBad: Of ''Race Against Time''.
* TheBusCameBack: He makes his first canonical appearance via "Ben 10,000 Returns". [[spoiler:He returns in the ''Omniverse'' episode "Ben Again", despite having supposedly been ''erased from time''.]]
* ButtMonkey: Downplayed in ''Omniverse''. While he's still a major threat, he's also frequently betrayed or his plans don't work out the way they're ''supposed'' to.
* CanonImmigrant: First appeared in ''Race Against Time'' only to return in ''Ultimate Alien'' and ''Omniverse''. Particularly notable for this trope that not only did the character get reintroduced into the source material, but it's the same ''version'' of the character who shares the same history (as RAT is literally an alternate timeline).
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In ''Ultimate Alien'' he was fairly stoic and calm, while his return in ''Omniverse'' made him far more brash and hotheaded while often ending up as the ButtMonkey.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: On the receiving end. Every villainous partnership he has made ends with him being betrayed.
%%* DarkIsEvil: Wears a [[EvilWearsBlack black]] and [[PurpleIsTheNewBlack purple]] attire. (Partial context example that does not describe the "evil" part.)
* DeathIsCheap: [[spoiler:At the end of "Ben 10,000 Returns", he's ''erased from time''. Or not, since he returns in ''Omniverse''.]]
* DemotedToDragon: In his first appearance he was the BigBad. In his next two appearances he was a very tough reoccurring VillainOfTheWeek. By his subsequent appearances he is working for Vilgax and later Maltruant (with both eventually betraying him).
* DimensionLord: In ''Omniverse'', Eon attempted to become this.
* EvilBrit: In ''Race Against Time'', Eon speaks with an English accent and is the BigBad.
* EvilCounterpart:
** To Paradox, being a time traveler who is a villain.
** To Ben 10,000, being an alternate adult version of Ben 10 who is villainous and opposes the Bens of all of reality.
* ExpressiveMask: [[spoiler:His helmet in ''Ultimate Alien'' has eyes that move.]]
* {{Expy}}:
** He shares similarities with the supervillain ComicBook/KangTheConqueror from the Franchise/MarvelUniverse.
** Also to [[Characters/DoctorWhoMasters the Master]] from ''Series/DoctorWho'', by virtue of being an EvilCounterpart ArchNemesis to Paradox, who is an {{expy}} of [[Characters/DoctorWhoDoctors the Doctor]].
** He also has some similarities with The Time Trapper, being a villain of many, many origins and motivations, cycling through them easily and without much note. He even has a desolate "home time-zone" he is seen to operate out of. Like The Time Trapper, he is once thought to be a member of an ominous race of aliens and has turned out to be an evil future version of TheHero.
* FallenHero: [[spoiler:The "Ben 10,000 Returns" version of the character is revealed at the end to be an evil alternate version of Ben 10,000. While the episode is non-canon in ''Omniverse'' (mainly through the series re-introducing the fact that the Ben 10,000 future from the Original Series is canon), the "Ben 10,000 Returns" version of Eon makes appearances.]]
* IdiotBall: Notably defied; In ''Omniverse'', Eon is smart enough to quickly figure out where Paradox's Chrono Navigator is, and immediately thinks about going back to the moment where Paradox loses it and get it there, before being reminded by Paradox that doing so would be dangerous due to the time manipulation it would cause. [[spoiler:Even then, he still proves smart enough to travel to the moment where Ben finds it again in the future and take it there.]]
* JokerImmunity: While he didn't appear that much so far, he ends up apparently killed at the end of all his appearances, and yet still finds a way to come back each time. Even being ''DeaderThanDead'' didn't stop him.
* KnightOfCerebus: Surprisingly consistent among his appearances, where he doesn't crack jokes terribly often, poses much danger to Ben and his friends, and his [[TimeMaster powerset]] makes him something to take seriously. Even in ''Omniverse'', Ben, his alternate self, and Paradox struggle to defeat him.
* LargeHam: He's significantly more bombastic in ''Omniverse.''
* LaserBlade: Uses one in ''Omniverse.''
* MesACrowd: With the reveal that his servants are actually alternate versions of Ben Tennyson, just like himself, this makes them a whole army of ''him''.
* MultipleChoicePast: His backstory, motives, and general characterization change a lot between his appearances, causing a lot of potential confusion.
* MultiversalConqueror: What he strives to be, travelling across the multiverse enslaving alternate versions of Ben Tennyson.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: He's a bit touchy-feely with Ben. Even though he's trying to get to the Omnitrix, he's always in Ben's face.
* OhCrap: When Eon realizes Vilgax intends to wipe out the timelines of every alternate Ben Tennyson, which includes him.
* OmnicidalManiac:
** In "Ben Again", he declares if he is unable to conquer reality than he would instead destroy it.
** He is also in cahoots with Vilgax and his plot to erases every version of Ben Tennyson from the space-time continuum. Unfortunately for Eon, that also includes himself, which he realizes too late.
* PungeonMaster: In ''Omniverse'', Eon cannot go a ''second'' without making a time-based pun.
* PurpleIsPowerful: His TronLines and powers have a signature purple glow. He also happens to be one of Ben's most powerful enemies.
* RubberForeheadAliens: In ''Race Against Time'', Eon looks human, except for having [[AmazingTechnicolorPopulation pale white skin]] and (in his last appearance) [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ben10/images/7/77/EonMovie63.png/revision/latest?cb=20190708013237 maroon marks around his eyes]]. [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ben10/images/2/23/Eon_Transformation.png/revision/latest?cb=20190831040029 However, his younger Omnitrix counterpart]] [[HumanAliens looks completely human]].
* SameCharacterButDifferent: A rare justified case, as there are many different timelines and thus many different Eons as well.
* SignificantDoubleCasting: Being an alternate version of Ben, he shares voice actors with teenage Ben while masked and Ben 10,000 while unmasked in ''Ultimate Alien'', and with Ben 10,000 in ''Omniverse''.
* ShoutOut: His plan in "Ben 10,000 Returns" is rather similar to [[spoiler:the BigBad in ''Film/TheOne''. Wiping out and absorbing all alternate versions of themselves.]]
* TimeMaster: Though he has his limits, which varies according to the two incarnations:
** ''Race Against Time'' Eon could stop time, ages things by shooting at them and travel through time, though he couldn't do the latter too much, or he would get weaker;
** The Main Timeline Eon in "Ben 10,000 Returns" seemed to travel randomly until [[spoiler:the Hands of Armaggedon got activated where he wanted]]. He otherwise possesses the same ability to age things by shooting at them, including permanently destroy Ben's alien form by doing so (weirdly enough, Ben himself survived the process). In ''Omniverse, Eon seemed to have a better mastery of time travel but was still trapped by Paradox in the Main Timeline. He also couldn't stretch time too much without danger according to Paradox. He didn't show the aging ray ability from his previous incarnations, though.
* TomatoInTheMirror: At the end of "Ben 10,000 Returns", he and his minions are all revealed to be [[spoiler:Ben Tennyson of an alternate timeline. Though since the Eon from the movie intended to turn Ben into a new Eon, we can't be sure he's the ''original'' Eon]].
* TookALevelInBadass: While he wasn't exactly a joke in the live-action movie, he still was a threat mostly because he could prevent the Omnitrix from working and didn't stand much against Ben's aliens. His later animated incarnations have more versatile powers, are smarter and one of them could match ''[[FutureBadass Ben 10,000]]'' in a fight.
* TronLines: In ''Race Against Time'' and ''Omniverse''.
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:He suffers one in ''Omniverse''. When the time portals he creates begin to damage the timestream, he loses his cool and accuses Paradox of having tricked him. He then decides that if he can't rule the cosmos, he'll destroy it.]]
* VillainDecay: Played with in ''Omniverse''. On the one, he does get humiliated a lot more making him seem less imposing than he was in ''Ultimate Alien''. On the other hand, he is ''far'' more dangerously ambitious in ''Omniverse'', going from conquering various timelines to almost destroying the entire Multiverse on ''several'' occasions.
* VillainTeamUp: With Vilgax in "And Then There We None". Their partnership ends when Vilgax reveals that his plan is to wipe out every alternate timeline and its version of Ben. Since Eon is an alternate version of Ben, that means he gets erased as well.
* WildCard: In ''Omniverse'', Eon is this by his own admission.

!The Hive

-->You are different than the other drones. Stronger. Together, we could rule everything.
-->'''The Hive Queen, to Nanomech'''

The villains from the second live-action movie "Alien Swarm". The Hive is an army of living, techno-organic, bug-like nanochips with the ability to both infest people in order to take over their minds and fuse together to form various structures. They were discovered by Plumber's member Victor Validus, but the others refused to believe him, and they ended up taking over him. Eventually, the Swarm was stopped when Ben used the sample of their own species, Nanomech, to reach the Queen inside Validus' brain and apparently kill her. They eventually come back in Ultimate Alien, where it's revealed that the Hive Queen Ben killed was actually a decoy, while the real one hid inside Validus' daughter (and Ben's childhood friend) Elena. Eventually, Elena's personality fused with the Hive's mind, causing her to become crazy and turn into an AxCrazy {{Yandere}}.
----
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: The queen is much larger than the drones and far stronger.
* TheAssimilator: Their MO is to infect and take over everyone on the entire planet.
* BodyDouble: In "Revenge Of The Swarm", it's revealed the queen Ben already killed was a fake and the real queen was [[spoiler: hiding inside Elena]].
* BigBad: Of the second live-action movie.
* CanonImmigrant: Like Eon, they have shown up in ''Ultimate Alien'', but are a bit more consistent in characterization.
* CassandraTruth: Victor Validus tried to warn the Plumbers the Hive were preparing to attack but no one believed him until the invasion was already started.
* HiveQueen: The queen of the hive serves this role. However, she's also the only one able to reproduce like a real insect queen, and killing her takes the Hive with her.
* IAmLegion: The Hive's hosts refer to themselves as 'we', even the Queen's host despite the fact she refers to herself in the singular.
* {{Nanomachines}}: They're techno-organic nanite chips.
* PuppeteerParasite: Anyone infected by the Hive is put under their control and becomes "drones" for the queen to control.
* ShockAndAwe: The Hive Queen and Nanomech are capable of this.
* WeCanRuleTogether: During their fights with Ben, both queens try to convince Ben to join them as their king.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: WordOfGod is that we won't be seeing them in ''Omniverse'': [[AbortedArc that story's been dumped]].
** This has since been rectified in a Graphic Novel.
* {{Yandere}}: [[spoiler:Toward Ben, after Elena became one with them.]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MichaelEmerson
Alpha is the original control nanite created by Cesar but sent to an empty dimension, where he started attempting to merge with organic lifeforms in his pursuit of a stable body. Unfortunately, that universe turned out to be the Null Void. He found a host and forced a return to Rex's world, accidentally taking Ben with him and setting up the crossover.
* AIIsACrapshoot: Making an artificially intelligent control nanite worked just about as well as one would expect it. Cesar seems to have a poor track record with this sort of thing.
* BigBad: Of WesternAnimation/Ben10GeneratorRexHeroesUnited
* BigRedDevil: Other than the mechanical form he first appears in, all his forms are quite demonic in appearance, getting even moreso as he transforms into more powerful forms.
* EvilCounterpart: To Rex's Omega Nanite.
* HealingFactor: So long as he has nanites to spare, the bodies he creates can regenerate nearly any damage in seconds. Becomes capable of regenerating without limit once he absorbs Rex's Omega Nanite, which can create nanites.
* HorrorHunger: Like Van Kleiss, he absorbs nanites from Evos to sustain himself. However, he reduces his victims to dust.
* ImplacableMan: No matter what you hit him with, he just keeps coming and can regenerate from nearly anything. The only way to truly stop him is to target and somehow hit the one tiny Nanite in his entire body that's actually him.
* MachineMonotone: Constantly speaks with one.
* OneWingedAngel: Three times. First after absorbing all the Nanites in the Bug Jar to turn into a hulking monster. He then copies the Ultimatrix, allowing him to turn into monster versions of Ben's aliens, but Rex manages to cancel that. He finally absorbs Rex's Omega Nanite to transform into the gigantic Alpha Omega.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Is outright stated to be capable of single-handedly destroying the world.
* PsychopathicManchild: Is rather child-like in his mannerisms and speech, speaking to Cesar, his creator like a child seeking its parent's approval and guidance. He's also extremely dangerous and has no regard for life in any sense of the word. While he gradually gets more mature as he evolves, traits of the manchild part are still there, and he gets much more psychotic.
* PsychoPrototype: The prototype control Nanite, and is a monstrous, psychopathic entity.
* SealedEvilInACan: Was supposed to be imprisoned in an empty dimension where he couldn't do any damage, but it turned out it was the Null Void and he escaped. Rex and Ben defeat him and imprison him in an extremely dense sphere, which Ben then leaves in the Null Void for good measure...But the ending implies he's going to escape anyway.
* SuperPrototype: Of the Nanites; he's not called Alpha for nothing.
* SentientPhlebotinum: Is a sentient nanite. Any body he creates is normally composed of a swarm of absorbed nanites as well.
* {{Technopath}}: Like Rex, he can manipulate machines by touch. The first body he shows up in was apparently a mechanical Null Void prisoner he merged with.
* VoiceOfTheLegion: After going OneWingedAngel.

-->You are different than the other drones. Stronger. Together, we could rule everything.
-->'''The Hive Queen, to Nanomech'''

* {{Nanomachines}}: They're techno-organic nanite chips.

He is eventually defeated when Ben and his future self destroy the Hands of Armageddon, supposedly erasing Eon from the timeline.
