They then follow the Iga ninja deep into Iga territory, where Gennosuke just writes off the bloodlust he feels as "only natural, since our clans have hated each other for 400 years." Jousuke realizes that something is wrong after he's imprisoned in what looks like a normal room, but manages to escape and beat Akeginu, only to be killed by Jingoro before he can warn Gennosuke. Despite the fact that Jousuke disappears overnight without warning while deep in enemy territory, Gennosuke buys the excuse that he ran back home to Kagerou because he got rejected by Akeginu. It doesn't take until he finally sees the ninja scroll with Jousuke's name crossed out in blood that he realizes he's in danger.]] Way to go, Gennosuke!
