* In ''Series/TheMichaelJFoxShow'' (Unaired episode) Principal [=McTavish=] (played by Creator/ChristopherLloyd) the eccentric principal at the high school where Annie (Betsy Brandt) teaches and will go toe-to-toe with Mike (played by Creator/MichaelJFox) another reunion episode from the main cast of ''Film/BackToTheFuture''.

* ''Series/SpinCity'': Mike's (played by Creator/MichaelJFox) political mentor (played by Creator/ChristopherLloyd) comes to City Hall to help on the Millennium project in a episode called "Back to yhe Future 4". They even make fun of the "time travel". This is the first of many reunions of the main cast of ''Film/BackToTheFuture''.

* ''Series/LawAndOrderSpecialVictimsUnit'': Chris Tucker is an InternalAffairs detective with a ([[RabidCop justified]]) vendetta against Creator/ChristopherMeloni's character Elliot Stabler. His actor, Creator/RobertJohnBurke, also played an FBIAgent investigating Meloni's SerialKiller character Chris Keller on ''Series/{{Oz}}''.

* ''Series/JamAndJerusalem'': Creator/JoannaLumley, an actress known for her posh elegance (she was a BondGirl in the 60s and only stopped modeling in the 2010s) and her starring role in Jennifer Saunders' ''Series/AbsolutelyFabulous'', here plays another character created by Saunders: an extremely old and senile woman whose role is so small it's practically TheCameo. (She's written out of the show completely after the first episode of Series 2.)

** Mac is portrayed as an ArmoredClosetGay who uses homophobia in a flimsy attempt to deny his own homosexuality. Rob [=McElhenney=]'s mother is a lesbian and his childhood was split between being raised by his father [[HasTwoMommies and his mother and her partner]].

* One of the {{Creator Thumbprint}}s on the {{telenovela}}s of Brazilian author Manoel Carlos was a protagonist named Helena. The first in 1981 was played by Lilian Lemmertz. Once Carlos decided to retire in 2014, he called for his last Helena Lilian's daughter Julia Lemmertz.

* ''Series/TulsaKing'' has recurring character Bodhi, who acts in every way exactly like Martin Starr's previous character in ''Series/SiliconValley'', Gilfoyle. In the season 1 finale, after the crew0 finds out that he's [[spoiler:been stealing cryptocurrency all along and asks how he got so good at it, he lets on, "Some friends and I ran a startup for about 6 years back in California"]]

*** Creator/SachaDhawan, who played ''An Unearthly Child'' director Waris Hussein, was later cast in Who proper as [[spoiler:The Master]] opposite Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor.

* Savanna Samson has appeared as a porn star on two TV series where Creator/TinaFey was head writer. In a 2006 episode of ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'', she was in the gag commercial for a porno called "''101 Fellations''". Three years later in the ''Series/ThirtyRock'' episode titled "Into the Crevasse", she played "Porn Liz" in Tracy's {{Rule 34}} porn video of the show.
** What’s more, Samson herself is a former porn actress, adding another layer to this casting gag.

** Speaking of, one episode of ''Series/GreysAnatomy'' featured a woman played by Creator/SarahChalke (Elliot from ''Series/{{Scrubs}}'') who brings in her son for treatment, and ends up correctly diagnosing his illness after the doctors couldn't find out what was wrong with him. Ironically, ''Scrubs'' [[HilariousInHindsight previously]] made fun of the idea of patients self-diagnosing using information from the internet (Wiki/{{Wikipedia}} specifically). Though, this story was actually RippedFromTheHeadlines.

** Queen Maeve is based on the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medb eponymous Irish myth]]. And her portrayer hails from Ireland.

** Creator/KarlUrban and Creator/SimonPegg previously co-starred in the Film/StarTrek2009 reboot films as [=McCoy=] and Scotty, respectively. In those films though, the accents they used were reversed: Urban was the FakeAmerican and Pegg (though an actual native Briton), adopted a very thick Scottish accent.

* ''Series/{{Forever}}'' cast Creator/DavidKrumholtz as the younger version of Abe in a flashback. Abe is played by Creator/JuddHirsch, who previously played Krumholtz's father in ''Series/Numb3rs''.

* ''Series/{{Supergirl 2015}}'' continues the trend of anything Superman-related needing to have a Casting Gag:
** Supergirl's adoptive parents are played by Creator/DeanCain (who played Superman in ''Series/LoisAndClark'') and Creator/HelenSlater (who played Comicbook/{{Supergirl}} in [[Film/{{Supergirl}} the ill-fated live-action movie]]).
