However, this is all played for laughs since Doofenshmirtz is the bad guy (even though he's more pathetic than evil).

** Goofy has also developed a slight Butt Monkey status in a lot of his "How To" shorts. Whether it's Goofy himself or the many lookalikes that appear during these videos, most of them either end with or feature him getting hurt or beaten up. For example, the "How To Dance" video ends with him getting knocked over during an energetic dance on a crowded floor, causing him to get punched, kicked, and squished by the other people on the floor.

** Pip, the little British kid from the earlier seasons was a definite Butt Monkey before he was phased out of the show. He was so unpopular with the other school kids that in one episode they tried to see who could spit on him the most. In another episode, Cartman makes fun of him because his parents are dead. Like Butters, he had a polite and pleasant disposition and generally took all the abuse with good nature.

** Martin Prince, Springfield Elementary's resident nerd and perhaps second only to Lisa in terms of intelligence at the school is a textbook example of the Butt Monkey. The boy is a generally nice, gentle person but is berated, beaten, and tormented to almost sadistic reaches. Although the characters' occasionally pandering ways does bring this on himself sometimes.
** Actually, Martin can be seen as smarter than Lisa, as in "Homer's Enemy", Homer tells Frank Grimes her IQ is 156 (and Lisa doesn't correct him) and in "Bart the Genius", Homer, thinking Martin's IQ test is Bart's, reveals that "Bart's" IQ is 216 (at first, Homer thinks it's 912 because he was reading it upside down).
*** Thankfully, Martin got some much needed vengeance and a temporary level in badass near the end of the Simpsons Movie.
** Pretty much every character in this show could be considered a Butt Monkey at one time or another.

** Also, Skinner, in every instance of interaction with Chalmers.

** With everything that she deals with for no particular reason, it seems quite possible that she's a parody of the trope.
*** WordOfGod seems to indicate that it's played straight, and the only thing the writers can think of to do with the character.
** Peter goes so far as BreakingTheFourthWall to tell the viewer that no-one'd blame them for changing the channel, as it's a "Meg episode".
** Meg is probably in DesignatedMonkey territory, in large part because of her parents' FaceHeelTurn. Before cancellation, Lois and Peter weren't especially fond of their daughter, but at least show enough love that Lois conspired to get revenge at high school kids who pranked her, and Peter tries to share some of his popularity when he goes undercover at high school (despite some jailbait temptation). After the show's return, though, they become the main source of Meg's suffering, from agreeing to abandon her in case one of the kids can't be saved, to the above incident with Lois and Joe (which was during the first post-cancellation season). It's impossible to imagine Peter and Lois lifting a finger for their daughter now.
** When she almost died, Peter actually defended Meg once, when Connie insulted her. However, it was most likely done so that she can still be tortured by Peter and Lois.
*** In "Stew-Roids", Meg is sobbing in her room, upset that she is not invited to a party in her own house. Lois, meanwhile, is comforting her, but eventually gets bored and suggests she commits suicide.
** Thanks to a mix of Flanderization and Peter's Jerkass nature, the paraplegic Joe Swanson has also become quite a Butt Monkey for most DeadBabyComedy in the show following its return. A quick gag in a recent episode reveals that he retains suicidal intentions.
** Brian strike:is was also a very big Butt Monkey on the show. Let's see, his mother got turned into a table, bad things always happen whenever he's left in charge of the house, his brief stint as a cop inadvertently made him a drug addict, he dated a woman whose stupidity rivals that of RalphWiggum. It probably explains why he drinks wine out of Big Gulp cups. Oh, and he once got the everloving crap beaten out of him by an infant. Granted, he's hardly the first of Stewie's victims, but still.
*** Brian still is the shows Butt Monkey, second only to Meg. He gets beat up more times than anyone else, usually for rather flimsy reasons. The universe conspires against him to make sure he can't hold a single meaningful relationship with another girl (though his family does a very good job of driving away potential suitors on thier own). To this date, he's pretty much the ONLY character in the seris to have a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech tossed at him, to say nothing of the rampart Flanderization of Lois and Peter into CompleteMonster territory.
