* FourthWallMailSlot: Like most AskAPony Tumblrs, the comic runs on this. The Mailbox is actually a manifest entity in Twilight and Trixie's world (Twilight even gave it a name).

* AllThereInTheManual: Due to the author's lift becoming too busy to continue comic, the blog conculded with the author writing what happened next after Twilight and Trixie came back home when their magic took a vacay. Basiclly the magic comes back to calm them but saw how happy the two ponies were, so it decided to free them no strings attached and even helped with the wedding. Ending with Twilight and Trixie wed.

** The creator is a ''DoctorWho'' fan, so there's a few shout outs to that too:

* TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything: Genie bottles (at least for pony genies) display the cutie mark of their occupant, and this remains consistent throughout the comic even when genies are being transferred to and from bottles. Notably, Twilight and Trixie's shared bottle has a cutie mark that's a combination of both of theirs (you can even see it changing after Twilight moves in), and when Trixie is later taken from the bottle, the cutie mark reverts back to Twilight's.

* ChekhovsGunman: Zephyr Diamond.

* TheAgeless: It doesn't appear that a genie can age, making Twilight and Trixie effectively immortal. Trixie notes this herself when she points out to Zephyr Diamond that she can wait around doing nothing a lot longer than he can. Their genie nature also makes them very resistant to physical damage (their bodies are semi-incorporeal, and they can shapeshift). On top of that, they have magic to defend themselves with, and on top of ''that'', there's a fundamental safeguard in the rules of genie magic which sends them to a new container if their old one is destroyed.
