* As insanely ridiculous as it sounds? The enslaved Quirks themselves are the ones to defeat Moonman Koopa in "Stars in Their Eyes" via shorting out his rocket. How? By playing an EPIC rendition of VideoGame/TheLegendOfZelda theme via kazoo as shown [[https://youtu.be/w0bC-RWoU34 here.]]

* In "Brooklyn Bound", Mario and Luigi have the chance to go back to the real world thanks to Salvador Draino... but it's [[YouCantGoHomeAgain a one-way trip]]. They're almost prepared to leave, but just as they're about to depart, King Koopa shows up and kidnaps Princess Toadstool and Toad. Even though this might be their last chance to go home, Mario leaps into action to help the princess - and for once, [[LovableCoward Luigi]] follows without hesitation. Doubles as a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}} when you consider that they decided the Princess's safety meant more to them than their homes.

For one thing, this scene is actually very well-animated and this is coming from a cartoon that had its fair share of animation errors throughout the series. Second, this is one time in the show where the villains are actually downright threatening for once. And third, the [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic awesome]] "[[Music/MichaelJackson Thriller]]" cover that plays in the background. Sure, it's subverted a minute later after the enemies slip over spaghetti sauce (count that as an awesome moment for Toad too) but for just one minute, a show doused in nothing but terrible Italian food jokes had a legitimate scary moment.

When the group later needs a Fire Flower to help them cook their pizza, and Koopa had one heavily guarded, Luigi makes his way through Koopa's forces, gets the Fire Flower, becomes Fire Luigi, and sends Koopa running by shooting fireballs at him.
