** That final "Rainbow Connection" reprise? That featured pretty much every Muppet that had been created up to that point, with Muppets from ''Literature/EmmetOttersJugBandChristmas'', ''Series/SesameStreet'' and SNL's ''Land of Gorsch'' included. Along with the regular Muppet performers, they had enlisted around 137 puppeteers from the Puppeteers of America to perform in that scene.

* Creators/OrsonWelles' cameo as Lew Lord, the man who single-handedly makes the Muppets into superstars. Welles appears for thirty seconds and has only one line, but he acts for every bit of it.

Bad Example Indentation In Trope Lists, single two or three bullets entry is always wrong.

** In the same vein, the duet between Kermit and Rowlf. It fulfilled something of a desire of Creator/JimHenson's that would've been impractical on ''Series/TheMuppetShow'' (as he performed both characters and the average episode had a obviously tighter filming schedule).

No meta example, see this query.

** "Thanks to the lovers, the dreamers, and you!"

** "Thanks -->''Thanks to the lovers, the dreamers, and you!"you!''

** On a meta-level, only Welles could provide a ton of characterization and depth to a character who appears for a grand total of ''40 seconds''. That's acting, folks.

* On another meta level, director James Frawley spent the entire shoot acting like the Muppets were simply the film’s actors, always talking directly to the puppets without ever letting on that he had any idea it was an act. Add on that he was uncomfortably out of his element as a TV director who had no idea if he could handle a feature film, and it becomes a mind-boggling performance that doubtlessly added a great deal to the filming process.
