*** To be fair though, YourMileageMayVary on whether taking on a massive pantha while in an [[HumongousMecha AMP suit]] with a suitably massive combat knife is really ''that'' impressive. Claws and teeth didn't really do anything to the steel frame, it needs to penetrate the cockpit first in order to harm Quaritch, while he can simply stab it. He also showed that the suit was quite stronger than the Thanatore, only really being in trouble in the first place because Neytiri tried to pull a BackStab. Likewise, while the Na'vi are a lot stronger than humans, the AMP suit is another deal entirely. To be short, while no one denies Quaritch was {{Badass}}, the odds weren't ever really stacked against him.

Granting that the aliens are people, and therefore should be treated like humans, then torching the hometree was not cool, as I already stated. But it remains that, based on all the evidence in the film, Sully willfully chose to deceive all the people who put their trust in him to either negotiate with the aliens or provide intelligence about them. Trust was placed in him, he accepted that trust, and then he knowingly betrayed it for purely selfish reasons. In that light, seeing him get what (very little) comeuppance he does get is awesome. Or, you know, heartwarming, but it seems wrong to put something about a person getting knocked out in C Mo H

As I said before, I\'ll accept that Quaritch is a badass, and that some things he does are indeed awesome, like getting into his mech suit and escaping the crashing ship while he, himself, is on fire. But in this scene, he\'s just punching out a crippled man who couldn\'t physically fight back. And who he doesn\'t have to punch, even. The only real reason you\'ve given for it being \"awesome\" is pretty damn near racial supremacy, \"backed up\" by you mischaracterizing the whole Na\'vi race as presented in the movie. \'\'That\'\' is why it\'s not awesome. Quaritch fighting off the biggest land-predator on the planet? Sure. Quaritch punching out, unnecessarily, an unarmed, crippled, weakened man? Not badass in the least.
