** Immediately thereafter, after failing to get any response out of Jake's Avatar body, it takes her ''seconds'' to figure out where Jake's real body is, what it looks like, what the mask hanging near him does, and how to put it on him. In total, the time between her killing Quaritch and saving Jake takes about ''one minute''.

* After Spider saves his life, Quaritch begs him to run away with him. Spider's reply? An angry Na'vi hiss. The fact that Spider does not give Quaritch a "Jake Sully will always be a better father to me than you will ever be" remark (in those exact words) just goes to show that his real father is not worth talking to anymore.

That Jake does (and he's only five people in their known history have ever managed to do so. 'Dying Moment of Awesome' seemed applicable to Tsu'tey's raid on the bomber, hence its inclusion.

* The extended opening also shows that tigers, having been extinct for over a century, have been cloned back into existence. Earth may be a CrapsackWorld with most of nature gone, but humanity is at least ''trying'' to repair the damage as well as it can.

!!Meta examples:

* The fact that the script was written ''all the way back in 1995'', and remained in DevelopmentHell for over a decade, due to current special effect technology then not being sufficient to portray Cameron's visions for the film. This movie waited 14 years to come to fruition...but it was well worth the wait, as it would become the highest-grossing film of all time, and held that title until ''Film/AvengersEndgame'' in 2019... and then it took the title back in 2021 after a re-release in China!
* The CGI of the Navi, the backdrops, the machines, the creatures, all the bioluminesence and textures of the various flora and fauna...it's no exaggeration to call ''Avatar'' one of the most spectacular works of visual effects in all of cinematic history.

Then she puts one more massive toxic arrow in him for good measure.

** Tied into this is the fact Quaritch ''deliberately'' opened a sidehatch aboard his ship and tried to shoot Jake to stop him fatally damaging his gunship, all while holding his breath (not having a gas mask on to protect him from Pandora's toxic atmosphere). It didn't work, but points for trying.
* Another one for Quaritch just before the above example; with the RDA flotilla being torn apart in the air, Quaritch personally takes command of the battle; using his gunship as bait to cut a path through the rampaging ikran to get the bomber to the Tree of Souls. Were it not for Jake descending from above to take out the bomber, it would have worked.

In other words, he's [[IndyPloy Indy Ploying]] his way onto a creature big enough to toss helicoptors around like ragdolls. [[spoiler:And it ''works''.
