More context as far as Olga is concerned?

* MultiNationalTeam: It's subtle and requires you to know Russian culture, but the cast of the show is actually quite diverse. Only Rosa and Krash don't have any distinct nationality: Olga is definitely Russian, Pin (and, apparently, Carlin, if his "true" surname "von Carlin" is any indication) is German, Dokko is AmbiguouslyJewish (he even made a {{Golem}} in one episode), Chiko is stated at one point to be an [[AsianAndNerdy Indochinese hedgehog]] (and in another episode, poses as a Georgian - as in [[UsefulNotes/GeorgiaCaucasus Georgia the Caucasian country]], not the US state), Barry's accent is Ukrainian, Wally's appearance and personality invoke the partially African Creator/AlexanderPushkin, while Barry's niece Pandy has a Russian full name but, being a panda bear, is implied to at least have Chinese ancestry.

On a closer inspection, the Persian version of the theme song is basically the same as the Russian version enough to not be an Alternative Foreign Theme Song, just With Lyrics.

** The Persian dub retains the visuals from the Russian intro, but dubs a lot of it over with an original Middle Eastern-sounding song with lyrics (the Russian version doesn't have lyrics).

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: In ''New Season'''s episode "Okroshka", Krash wishes that others were more like him while Chiko catches a fish. The fish turns out to be a BenevolentGenie and grants Krash's wish for a day, making Chiko, Barry, Olga and Carlin as hyperactive and reckless as Krash is. He's overjoyed at first, but starts regretting it when picnic starts going wrong thanks to his friends newly found incompitency.

** Unsurprisingly, 4Kids dub of the show got itself a completely new intro - a ThemeTuneRollCall. Interestingly, the original intro was still used as a short segment between the second and third shorts.
** Italian and Chinese dubs featured similarly different intros, while German version played a different theme over the original intro.

Another English dub (which also covered 104 episodes) was made by Studio 100 in 2009, under the new title of ''[=BalloonToons=]''. It would later be renamed into the show's German name, ''[=KikoRiki=]'' [[note]]Presumably named so after a [[UsefulNotes/GermanTVStations "Kika" channel]], which German dub was originally made for[[/note]], which has stuck since then and was used by other countries. * ParentalBonus: ''Tons'' of it.
** In the episode "The Forgotten Tale", Dokko wires Carlin (who tries to remember something from his childhood in the episode) to a computer in order to see the insides of his mind. As the screen activates, [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything two bedroom eyes appear on the screen, accompanied by waltz music, and]] [[DirtyOldMan Carlin starts jumping on his seat in excitement]], and while Dokko asks him suspiciously what is he thinking about, [[OnlySaneWoman Olga]] [[WhatTheHellHero freaks out]] and [[HarmfulToMinors promptly brings Krash and Chiko out of the house]].
** In one scene in the second movie as the plane is rocking back and forth, Olga holds on a pole does some type of dance while Dokko, Carlin and Barry make straight faces. "[[Music/TomJones Sex Bomb]]" as a background music doesn't help.
** Then there is one of the lines in "Her name was Rosa".
--->'''Chiko''' ''(to Krash):'' "Call me Boss and you won't go wrong".

* ScaryStingingSwarm: [[BeeAfraid Bees are often shown to be troublesome to the main cast]].
** This happens to Barry in "Barry's Hives", when he gets chased by a swarm of bees because the hives built by Krash and Chiko broke, and in "A Run of Bad Luck", this happens to both Barry and Carlin when former uses the latter to take some honey from them.
** And again to Carlin and Olga in "Elixir of Youth" when they steal honey from mountain bees for their elixir.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** "The Big Race" has several:
*** The race starts ''before'' Pin is able to finish the countdown because Olga and Carlin's cart powers up its engines, which also include a kettle. When said kettle goes off, all other racers (sans Rosa and Wally) take this as the horn and they all slam on the gas before Pin can stop them.
*** Shortly after the racers had started, Pin realizes he has no choice but start the race up properly since everyone has left the starting line by this point. He fires the gun in the air with a sigh - except because he did not check where ''exactly'' was he aiming at (and neither do the viewers at first), he ends up shooting straight through the hot air balloon he was spectating the game from and causing the aircraft to plummet down.
*** Krash and Chiko's cart is the fastest of the four, but in order to achieve such great speed capacity the engine must work at its limits - and it also generates a ''lot'' of noise. As result, Krash and Chiko [[PoorCommunicationKills fail to hear each other clearly when they need to turn left]] [[EpicFail and as result end up crashing into the very first obstacle on the track]].
*** Olga and Carlin's cart cannot be powered up without limits, which the two find out the hard way when the cart overheats so much it explodes, taking the car out of action.
*** With them having taken the lead following the above, Barry and Dokko start celebrating their victory too early, ''with their eyes closed''. Because they were no longer paying attention to the road, they end up swerving off the track, crashing their cart and then falling right into the field of cacti.
** "The Disco Dancer" has Wally take lessons from Barry who used to be a disco dancer before he retired. When after several days of training he finally comes to the dance floor and is ready to start dancing, he then learns that disco has fallen out of favor and been replaced by waltz. Turns out this was [[DiscoDan the exact reason Barry stopped liking disco in the first place]] ([[CassandraTruth and tried to warn Wally to not get into it]]). After all, the musical culture does not stagnate.

** "The Right To Be Lonely": Wally wants to be left alone as everybody disturbs him from making a poetry. Sure enough, he ends up on another island. He [[GoMadFromTheIsolation regrets it]] [[AndThenWhat as soon as he finishes making his poets]] partially since there is no live audience.
** In ''New Season'''s episode "Okroshka", Krash wishes that others were more like him while Chiko catches a fish.

* CaughtUpInARobbery: In the ''Team Invincible'' film, after ending up alone in the city he's never been in before, Chiko finds himself a temporary home at the museum with the guard Pin until his friends can find him. Next night, he meets two robbers trying to steal valuable items and is lead to assume they work at the museum as cleaners, dim-wittingly assisting them in the robbery. After they drive away, the police arrives, [[MistakenForThief mistakes Chiko and Pin for thieves]], and arrests them. The rest of the movie revolves around the rest of the [=KikoRiki=] gang [[GreatEscape breaking the two out of jail]].

* DarkerAndEdgier: Not by much, but Animated Films are overall more serious than the shorts. Take ''Team Invincible'' for example - the Riki gang visits [[CrapsaccharineWorld a city filled with corruption]], Chiko and Pin get arrested after being mistaken for thieves (complete with being held at gunpoint with three shotgun-armed officers) and have to be rescued by their friends, and at the end of the day [[spoiler: a director of Barry's show turns out to be a crininal boss, using the show to distract unsuspecting viewers from his real plans]]. Definetely not something you'd expect to see in the regular episode of the original show.
* EdutainmentShow: The [=ABC=]'s teach kids various topics.

* GilliganCut: Many times, but the most blatant example is from "Admirers in the Sky", when Krash and Pin are taking pictures while flying on a plane:
-->'''Krash:''' I got 'em! Now let's land safely, my man!
-->''(cut to Krash and Pin with black eyes and bandages)''
* {{Golem}}: Although it's never referred to as such, Dokko's creation in "The Most Important Thing" is very clearly one; not only is it made of clay, it is even animated by a piece of paper placed in its mouth as in Jewish folklore (the paper has a photo of Dokko on it rather than any text, though, but it's relevant to the story). That being said, it also veers into Frankenstein territory as Dokko uses [[LightningCanDoAnything lightning to bring the golem to life]].
* InconvenientParachuteDeployment:
** This happens to Barry in "The Parachute" when he is falling quickly, as he finally opens his parachute, causing him to float in the air. Unfortunately, when he tries to land, gust of wind blows him away, and his friends finally rescue him when he lands in his house.
** A caterpillar ([[ItMakesSenseInContext In Wally's body]]) does this in ''Legend of the Golden Dragon''. This in turn, causes Barry to accidentally break the plane's door and makes even more mishap as other [=KikoRikis=] try to land safely.
* INeverGotAnyLetters: In the episode "The Lost Apology", Olga reflects how she fought with her friend (or boyfriend), and never made up because she was waiting for his apology. Turns out there were something like thirty letters which were placed between the pages of a magazine she was ordering by mail and had no time to read.

* NoAntagonist: A deliberate decision by the creators, and unusual for a children's show. None of the nine characters can be considered "bad guys", and while they have conflicts, they're always temporary and simply arise from their diverse personalities. This sometimes gets subverted, and occasional new characters appear as antagonists (like Dokko's clone from "The Savage Clone" or Mole Agent 3630 from ''Deja Vu''), but their appearances are limited to few episodes and/or movies.

** In ''Team Invincible'', when the heroes arrive at the city's limits by water, they are confronted by the border patrol who start demanding their documents and boating license. Upon hearing that they don't have such and that they allegedly came "from the sea", the officers promptly arrest the whole party (sans Chiko) and then place them under the quarantine.

* ViciousVac: In the episode "Vacuum Cleaner", the titular invention Dokko and Pin built to lay off chores, goes haywire, starts thinking the [=KikoRiki=] are dust and starts chasing them.
