Jisu: Does anyone here actually know what "pink ghetto" means? It's gender-based hiring practices. That's where the name Pink Bishōjo Ghetto came from; Mission Control is male and consists of Old Masters, failure competition and possibly the Unlucky Everydude, and the special defense forces underneath them are an Amazon Brigade of Moe Moe girls. It's not Joshikousei and it certainly isn't Lady Land.
—- Indigo: Funny aside. I never had Viewer Gender Confusion from Blaise Zabini. The previous time I'd heard the name Blaise in a book, it had been a boy as well. Plus, when I see females by that name, it's usually Blaze. Go fig.
CodeMan38: Based on some of the comments on Maam Shock, I think we need a Troper Tales page for Viewer Gender Confusion. I might start one myself if I get called "ma'am" on the phone any more...
Nornagest: Moved an unreleased-webcomic anecdote to Troper Tales in lieu of deleting it. It might be worth putting back at some point, especially if the webcomic ever materializes, but it's honestly a little too anecdotal for the main page anyway.

- Are you confusing Tranvestite with Transexual? Romi Park doesn't look anything like a guy so the only way someone who looks at her picture can think she's a guy is if she was a transexual. She's neither, she's just has an excellent ability to lower her voice.
The story is from a O! Naruto Nippon! radio broadcast hosted by Takeuchi Junko where Paku was as a guest. The exact word she used was "New-Half", which I thought meant a transvestite, but I've also seen a transwoman use it in Stop! Hibari-kun. Editing example to remove confusion.
Some New Guy: On the topic of Alhazad, I remember his/her gender being mentioned in the Vulcanon Trap when Berserk corners you:

Servbot: Huh. Checking the game script, it seems like you're right. There are two instances where Al gets called a she. Still, between the way Al acts, how Al's also called a man by Magdalen, and the general lack of editing in the Agetech script, it still seems like Agetech translators were the ones confused.
Hmm... would be helpful if we could get someone who has played the Japanese game. I know someone who has and collects the Japanese-only All There in the Manual stuff, I'll try contacting him on this. (I'll be very amused if it does turn out that Al's a Psycho Lesbian)
EDIT: Got the info. Yeah, Al is referred to as male in the Japanese version. So definitely a typo on Agetec's part
