Would Rei Saotome count?- Troper On A Stick
Guy Smiley: Not that there's anything wrong with Ami per se, but I think we need a picture demonstrating the trope. That or a more fanservicey shot of Ami, which would qualify as Refuge in Audacity.

Alucard:I can see a good lot of overlap with the Shrinking Violet here at some point (in that those types tend to actually have violet hair).
While I like Rei Ayanami, I don't think she's a good example and the picture should be changed back to Ami. Rei's more emotionless than shy. -ghostspiders
- Wholeheartedly agree. I think it's actually just one person that keeps doing the reverts to Rei, for that matter... Rei may be a Trope Codifier, but she's not a straight example of the trope itself; she's more a deconstruction of it than anything.
Liv: Fix'd. Damn Evatards can't live without Teh Rei!!! plastered on every relevant page. Like the above troper said, she's hardly an example of this trope. She's not shy, she's just an emotionless drone. Sailor Moon predates Eva anyhow.
