In the Russian fandom, there exists a fairly popular Cargo Ship: Lucius Malfoy/vases. It originates from a now-memetic typo which had an angry Lucius "bang" a vase instead of "breaking" it (In Russian, it's "трахнуть" instead of "разбить"), and has a couple of fanfics dedicated to it. Is this a crack enough pairing for this page?

Should I mention in the quadrants sub-bullet of the Homestuck example that this also means a pair of characters can be a perfect match in one quadrant but make no sense at all in another?

Guys, I don't think there could possibly be a more bizarre pairing than this person's: http://minamikousakaworld.deviantart.com/gallery/ T.O.M., host of Toonami and the Princess from Adventure Time. Yes, really.

Any idea where I should put it?

Cut for Thread Mode:

  • Applejack/Rarity is popular, despite not making very much sense.
    • RarityJack ships thrive of the perceived Belligerent Sexual Tension Opposites Attract and URS in AJ and Rarity’s relationship. Let’s face it: they share a bed at Twilight's sleep-over and spend that entire episode bickering with each other only to make up at the end. And it’s a surprise that people ship them?
      • Yes, considering that your argument can apply to almost any couple with any amount of Ho Yay or Foe Yay involved.

You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.

"Examples should be limited to specific stories, preferably with links, lest the page be overrun with every pairing that has ever crossed anybody's mind."

This length of the examples is only limited by how many crackship fanfic writer stumbles onto the page, don't we not allow examples when the list is potentially infinite? With an added "we'd be here all night." mention. (not an active troper, if there is a page that addresses this, sorry for bringing up a complaint).

Could we maybe clean up some examples at least? Most of the justifications for adding examples boil down to someone stating it has a following, but aren't we only supposed to add specific stories? (which is a problem in itself because of There Is No Such Thing As Notability combined with Sturgeon's Law)

Anyone else find the current subtitle to the page image ridiculous? Rule 34 involves porn. Porn involves sex. The image in question does not involve sex. Thusly, it's not Rule 34.

Edited by UberShyGuy Wise men say there is no point... I guess none of them have ever finished a sentence before.

But some crack pairings are slash pairings, too. So there.

There's an issue with the new system; if you go to the archieved crack pairings, and try to open up one of the pages that contains all the crack pairings, it says that page does not exist on TV tropes. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Is it true that the fans of ST:TNG suggested Troi/Worf simply because they seemed so unlikely? And then the writers decided to run with that? I don't know, does that even belong on this page?

Why was nearly three-quarters of the page deleted? I mean, nothing in the definition of Crack Pairing says the pairing has to be popular. I can understand deleting personal crack pairings, but even one fanfic or fanart means that it was a crack pairing that wasn't made up just for the page - No Such Thing As Notability, after all. Many of the examples had multiple fanfics and fanarts to their name; Link/Amaterasu brings up 919 examples on Deviantart, for instance, and one section on an entire doujinshi was deleted. I've looked up the archived discussion, and nothing mentions cutting the page down. Why did one person delete most of an extremely long page with no visible discussion? Is ninjacrat a mod, or something?

Does anyone else start foaming at the mouth from reading this page? (for varying reasons, I am sure. For me it's my brain cracking)
